For the first time in the history of MTV’s hit reality dance competition series from Warner Horizon Television, “Randy Jackson Presents America’s Best Dance Crew, a female contestant will walk away with her share of the trophy and the $100,000 cash prize in the season four finale airing Sunday, September 27, at 9 p.m. ET/(tape delay) PT. After surviving elimination all season, the final two crews are poised to turn the stage into a battleground as mixed male and female Latin hotstepping crew Afroborike take on fierce all-female crew We Are Heroes. Hailing from Las Vegas, NV, Afroborike is a hot Salsa crew comprised of fiery Puerto Ricans and Cubans who bring their own brand of raw and sexy Latin dancing to America and long to have the freedom of movement they have seen in American music videos. Based out of Los Angeles, CA, We Are Heroes is an all-female crew whose members are inspired by everything from Fred Astaire to Michael Jackson and have honed their influences into a distinctive style of dance they call “Glam Style.”
The finale marks a milestone finish to one of the most original and innovative season yet. Featuring a crew roster so unique it ranged from hip-hop line dancers to the first openly gay crew ever to compete on the “Dance Crew” stage, the show challenges went global with contestants mixing martial arts, Bollywood and other worldwide influences into their choreography. This season also featured multi-platinum recording artist Beyoncé in the second episode, continuing the show’s tradition of producing episodes dedicated entirely to the music of exceptional performers such as Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Britney Spears and Missy Elliot.
