John “JE” Englebert the ever so entertaining nightlife impresario who owns several NYC nightclubs and who host’s a variety of special events (Kandy Halloween at the Playboy Mansion and other prestigious events) is pitching a reality TV show. “Life of a Club Owner” will have uncensored, no holds barred, raw footage of nightlife at its best; including footage from the late infamous Tunnel and Twilo nightclubs in the early 90′s where Englebert started working at 19 years old. He has been featured in the gossip columns ever since.
A source close to “JE” says that all the top reality networks are interested including MTV and E. John is well known in the media venues with mention’s in Page Six, The Village Voice, Social Life Magazine and the Washington Post among others. His opinions and stark repartee has created a tremendous following.
His exploits are explosive and incredibly entertaining. When a celebrity chef did not follow through on a promise to work in one of Englebert’s restaurants, the kingpin came public, “I will rip his head off for screwing me!”
When Lindsay Lohan was caught stealing a fur jacket from a rival NYC club Englebert offered to flip her court costs. When the Mayor of Belmar New Jersey Ken Pringle riffed on Englebert’s hometown of Staten Island calling them “Guidos”. Englebert defended SI offering to take Ken on a site seeing tour of the island.
When Kim Kardashian needed to be saved from a stampede of 13 yr olds Englebert quickly reacted whisking her out a side door. Need we say more? JE is a force to be reckoned with and his new reality show is highly anticipated.
