But ten months on it seems Rihanna has found happiness once again, after falling for baseball hunk Matt Kemp.
The singer is currently enjoying a new year break with the 25-year-old LA Dodgers star in Mexico.
The new couple have been spotted cavorting in a hot tub, kissing and embracing as they relax together.
And with Kemp’s hands placed possessively on Rihanna’s behind, it seems they are getting along well.
The first rumors about the pair were sparked after Kemp joined her in Dubai, where Rihanna was performing on New Year’s eve.
A source told website Hollywoodlife: ‘Rihanna and Matt are starting to get serious – he even followed her to Dubai for New Year’s. Rihanna likes him because he’s such a gentleman… and super sexy!’
Although Rihanna originally hails from Barbados she lives in Los Angeles, as does her new love.
In a recent interview he talked about his ideal partner.
