On the November 9th edition of “The Martha Stewart Show”, Steve Schirripa, best known for his role in ‘The Sopranos,’ chatted with Martha about his new NBC series ‘Face the Ace’. Hilarity ensued as they discussed the possibility of a movie version of the HBO hit, ‘The Sopranos’ and Martha’s history of dating Italian men.
During the taping, Steve and Martha created one of a kind wreaths made out of gold glittered nuts.
Check out these highlights from the interview:
Steve on the possibility of a ‘The Sopranos’ movie:
Martha: So are you going to make a movie of ‘The Sopranos’?
Steve: Half the cast is dead, who’s going to be in it?
Martha: Oh, you mean they died already.
Steve: There’s nobody left.
Martha: Nobody’s going to remember that.
Steve: “What, do we just come back to life? Either that, or, you know what I was thinking maybe a prequel when we were babies. Wanna see Tony Soprano in a diaper and a cigar? Wanna see that? I don’t want to see that…But you know what, everyone wants to do the movie. All the cast would love to do it if David Chase chose to, which he may someday, but right now, I don’t think so.”
Martha on dating Italian guys growing up:
Martha: “I grew up next door to the Allegris.”
Steve: “Oh. Aren’t you Polish?”
Martha: “Yeah. Italian on one side, German on the other side, and a lot of Italians down the street. ”
Steve: Did you date Italian guys?
Martha: I did. My mother didn’t like me to.
Steve: “Why? Italian guys, they’re nice guys. ”
Martha: “They’re very nice.”
Steve: “They’re respectful. If I were to come over to your house, met your mother, brought her cookies, she would have liked me.”
Martha: “Definitely. Especially if you brought these lovely cookies.”
