Talk show host Bonnie Hunt welcomes “Cougar Town’s” Courteney Cox, Busy Philips and Christa Miller, as well as Emmy Rossum, who discuss their Thanksgiving plans on “The Bonnie Hunt Show” airing Wednesday, November 18.
When it comes to Thanksgiving, Courteney doesn’t need anything fancy. She tells Bonnie, “That particular meal is about cans.
Lots and lots of cans. I don’t want any fresh peas. I want Le Sueur green peas with my cream of mushroom soup, with my Durkee’s onions, all put together in the ‘green bean casserole-style’ but peas.”
She also says that she doesn’t want the stuffing made with fresh bread. “I want Pepperidge Farm stuffing.” She loves the hard-to-find stuffing so much that she actually has her sister bring it from Orange County, Ca.
Courteney also is not a fan of whole cranberries. “I want my cranberries to have ridges!”
Actress Emmy Rossum is going home to New York where she does it a little fancier. She says, “My mom cooks the turkey and I do all the side dishes.” What’s her specialty? “I do a cranberry chutney instead of a cranberry sauce and I do sweet potato pie soufflé baked in orange shells.” However, she does get back to basics when she makes pumpkin pies. She admits to Bonnie, “One year I tried to make pumpkin pie and everyone loved it so much they asked for the recipe and I said it was secret but it is actually Libby’s in the can.”
