Bristol Palin is amazed that her dust-up at a West Hollywood bar has turned into such a newsworthy incident.

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s eldest daughter made international headlines after she was caught on tape shouting at a heckler after he called her mom a “wh – e” and the “f—ing devil”.

“Is it because you’re a homosexual?” Bristol asked. “And that’s why you hate her?”

On her Facebook page, Bristol posted early Friday morning “Always amazes me how evil people can be.”

Her supporters rallied around her on the page, praising her for sticking up for her family.

“Bristol…you handled yourself like a lady…and you defended your family…very well done…a class act just like your mother!” one commenter wrote.

Bristol replied, “Thank you guys so much for the support!!!! I cannot believe how liberal puke’s are turning this into something it is not.”

On Friday, her rep added that she was just sticking up for her family.

In a statement to TMZ.com, Bristol’s rep said she “was approached in a confrontational and inappropriate manner when two men aggressively shouted expletives aimed at her in reference to her mother. Bristol responded to the unprovoked verbal assault by calmly standing her ground and defending her family.”

After shouting about the heckler’s sexuality, the former “Dancing With the Stars” contestant was also accused of being homophobic – a charge that is familiar to the Palin family. Bristol’s 16-year-old sister, Willow, came under the spotlight last November after she posted homophobic slurs on Facebook.

But her rep told TMZ that Bristol’s rant was nothing of the sort.

“The situation ended with no incident, and accusing her of homophobia is completely unfounded and totally misstates her views.”

The heckler also called the young mom “white trash” and added that her mother “ran that city into the f—ing gave.”

Is single mom and virginity advocate Bristol Palin — famous for her wannabe vice president mother Sarah and her jaw dropping performance on Dancing With The Stars — headed to Hollywood for yet another reality show? Or is she going to camp out with mom in nearby Scottsdale?

At any rate, young Ms. Palin is putting her Maricopa, Arizona home up for rent at $1,400 a month. Bristol bought the foreclosure last December for $172,000 and it could turn out to be a good investment.

The Bio Channel is giving Bristol Palin a reality series.

The network said Monday that Palin will star in a 10-episode series. She is the daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and a former contestant on “Dancing With the Stars.”

The new series will follow her move from Alaska to Los Angeles with her son, Tripp, to work at a small charity.

The single mom will live with actor brothers Kyle and Christopher Massey. The network says Kyle Massey is a fellow “Dancing” contestant and good friend.

Besides reality TV, the 20-year-old Palin has earned hundreds of thousands of dollars as a spokeswoman working to prevent teen pregnancy.

Her as-yet-untitled series is slated to air in late 2011.

The ‘Dancing with the Stars’ contestant purchased a property in Maricopa in Arizona around four weeks ago for $172,000 and now wants to relocate from Alaska with her two-year-old son Tripp.

However, the 20 year old can only complete the move if her ex-fiance Levi Johnston gives his consent.

Gossip website TMZ reports that “according to court officials in Alaska, in order for a parent with primary custody – like Bristol – to relocate a child, she would need either consent from the other parent or she could file a motion for approval from a judge”.

A representative for Levi has revealed the former couple – who split for good this summer – are set to sit down after the festive holiday season and “discuss plans for Tripp”.

Bristol’s politician mother Sarah Palin is also reportedly looking at properties in Arizona and intends to move the with rest of her family.

Bristol Palin is taking on her third celebrity feud of the week, lashing out at Kathy Griffin after previously battling Keith Olbermann and Margaret Cho.

In a statement released Monday, Palin blasted Griffin for a joke the comedian made on Sunday night while hosting the “VH1 Divas Sault the Troops” broadcast in honor of the U.S. military.

Griffin, known for her crass humor, turned the show into a raunch-fest, spending the bulk of the evening in a camouflage bikini cracking lewd jokes.

Though her routine drew some laughs, she was roundly booed for a crack she mad about Palin’s body.

Calling her “the white Precious,” Griffin said Palin was “the only contestant in the history of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ to gain weight on the show.

The analogy was clearly deemed offensive by many in the crowd. Precious, a character played in the 2009 Oscar-nominated film by Gabourey Sidibe, was an obese teenager who was repeatedly sexually abused by her father.

In response, Palin issued a statement on Monday slamming Griffin for the comment.

“The audience’s reaction to this ‘comedian’ spoke volumes, and the decent people I know would probably have booed her, too,” Palin told Fox News. “I hope people didn’t have to pay money to hear her negativity and criticisms.”

According to PopEater’s Rob Shuter, VH1 producers considered removing Griffin’s joke from the broadcast, which was taped on Friday night.

“There was talk at VH1 about editing out the joke and the reaction to it but in the end we decided to leave it in,” a network source told Shuter. “It made the event feel live and Kathy is a big girl. It’s not the first time one of her jokes have failed.”

VH1 and a rep for Griffin have stayed mum on the topic so far, declining to comment on the incident when asked to respond by Fox.

On Friday, Palin wrote a lengthy Facebook post aimed at MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann, criticizing him for naming her the “worst person in the world” for advocating abstinence.

Palin also lashed out at ex-DWTS competitor Cho in a post on Saturday, complaining the comedian’s suggestion that she was forced on the ABC show by her mother was a lie.

She may have had the “time of her life,” but Bristol Palin bowed out in third place on Tuesday night’s much-anticipated “Dancing with the Stars” finale.

“Dirty Dancing” darling Jennifer Grey, instead, showed once again that nobody puts Baby in a corner, snagging the coveted Mirror Ball Trophy for an emotional first-place finish.

The 50-year-old native New Yorker was crowned the newest “Dancing With The Stars” champ, sending Sarah Palin’s daughter, Bristol, back to Alaska empty-handed.

“Yes! We did it!” said Grey, who hoisted the coveted trophy triumphantly above her head with professional partner Derek Hough on the live two-hour finale of the hit ABC show.

Grey fended off competitors half her age to take home the season 11 ballroom bonanza.

Disney Channel star Kyle Massey, 19, was voted runner up, followed by Palin.

Grey, the daughter of Broadway legend Joel Grey, and Hough, 25, now a three-time “Dancing” winner, were the odds-on favorites to triumph after their performances Monday night fetched a pair of perfect scores from the judges.

Grey made her final two dances Tuesday, despite nursing a ruptured disk in her spine and a partially torn knee tendon that capped off a season peppered with injuries.

“I didn’t think I was going to compete tonight and I’m really glad I did,” said a tearful Grey, a graduate of Dalton School on the upper East Side, as gold and silver glitter rained down on the winning pair.

The judges awarded Grey’s gutsy Viennese waltz Tuesday night a perfect score of 30 and gave her a 28 for the Cha Cha.

Palin, an unwed mother and abstinence advocate, was boosted into the finals by her mother Sarah Palin’s political supporters, whose votes offset the low scores she routinely received from the judges.

A military jacket-clad Palin let loose for a few seconds with an air guitar riff during her first dance of the finals evening, the tango with partner Mark Ballas, and the judges commended her on her fighting spirit.

“He’s got the wow, and you’ve got the how,” judge Len Goodman put it succinctly about Ballas and Palin’s complementing styles.

Agreed fellow judge Carrie Ann Inaba: “This is by far my favorite. There’s something about it that showcases your core strength.”

But looks as though sheer strength wasn’t enough to push the controversial competitor forward to a win in the end. The show’s resident girl-next-door shimmied frantically and gyrated in a red dress with layered fringes for the final number of the night, an “instant” Cha Cha set to Pink’s “Raise Your Glass.”

“You all brought your A-game,” said Inaba. “And you’ve all proved why you’re here. Kyle, you and Lacey inspire joy. Bristol inspires hope. And Jennifer, you show the value of perseverence and what dancing’s all about.”

And ultimately, America decided, what winning is all about.

“I have so many memories from this competition,” a teary-eyed Palin said as she was the first of the final three eliminated.

“This has been such a life-changing experience. I had the time of my life.”

The 11th season of “Dancing” garnered over 11.5 million viewers an episode and was also the most controversial, mostly due to Sarah Palin’s Momma grizzly influence.

Bristol Palin is apologizing for herself and her younger sister for their Facebook rant against posters criticizing their family. Palin posted the apology on her Facebook page, saying she and her 16-year-old sister Willow “shouldn’t have reacted to negative comments about our family. We apologize.”

Willow Palin used a homophobic slur against a poster on her Facebook page who criticized her mother’s new documentary series “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.” Then, she and Bristol engaged in a stream of offensive comments with posters who continued to slam the family.

Bristol ends her apologetic post by thanking those who are supporting “the great competition in Dancing with the Stars!” She is among three teams who made the finals this week.

Rumors about a budding romance between Bristol Palin and her “Dancing With the Stars” partner Mark Ballas just won’t go away.

A source on set of the ABC show said, “They looked very close, flirty and cuddly when the cameras weren’t on them.”

Both recently denied a relationship, with single mother Bristol telling Ellen DeGeneres, “It’s really hard for me to want to date after the situation I had myself in. I’m not worried about a boyfriend right now.”

Palin’s agent and a rep for the show didn’t get back to the media.

That was quick!

Bristol Palin and her “Dancing with the Stars” partner Mark Ballas debuted together just last week, but they’re already so close she’s taken him home to meet the parents.

Though the pair has denied dating, Bristol introduced Ballas to her famous mom on Thursday during a trip to her home state of Alaska.

Ballas immediately took to his Twitter page, posting a pic of himself beaming alongside former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin.

“Me and Mama Palin,” he tweeted. “Alaska is awesome.”

Ballas also gushed about Bristol’s family in his blog. “I found them to be extremely nice, kind, loving, and super sweet,” he wrote in a post for USA Today. “Mama Palin sure is proud of her hard-working daughter!”

The dancing duo also made a trip to Anchorage sports bar Rumrunners, where they hit the dance floor and Ballas performed a few songs on stage.

“Me and my gorgeous partner Bristol,” Ballas tweeted, posting a picture of the pair outside the bar.

But the cozy couple wasn’t alone. They toured the town with camera crews in tow, filming a segment for the next episode of their ABC show.

Ballas has previously shot down rumors of a romantic involvement with Bristol, telling E Online last week, “We are not dating, but we are having a good time.”
