The ‘Hold it Against Me’ hitmaker – who has sons Sean Preston, five, and Jayden James, four, with ex-husband Kevin Federline – insists she is not upset about leaving her 20s behind and is excited to see what the next decade in her life will bring her, with a big party to kick things off.

She said: “I think the older you get, the wiser you get. I can’t wait.

“I’m really excited and I am definitely going to celebrate and do something spectacular. I’m going to be in South America so I’ll have to do something pretty fun. A carnival of Britney? I don’t think I’ll be doing that. It’ll be something a little bit more low key.

The blonde star is also excited about the forthcoming US version of ‘X Factor’, and is particularly looking forward to seeing music mogul Simon Cowell dish out his put-downs.

She said: “I’ll definitely watch it. I respect Simon’s honesty. It’s refreshing. But I couldn’t be that honest.”

Despite turning 30, Britney – who is in a relationship with her former agent Jason Trawick – continues to be under the conservatorship of her father Jamie Spears, which has been in place since a highly-visible public meltdown in 2008, and he is likely to retain control of her affairs for the foreseeable future.

A source said recently: “The conservatorship won’t be ending this year because everything is going well.
“Britney is on tour again, which she truly loves. This would be the worst time to make a change, while she is on the road, and is in unfamiliar surroundings.”

The pop star is still under court-ordered conservatorship after a bout of erratic behavior in 2008. Her father and attorneys control her personal and financial affairs.

Because of the conservatorship, she will not be required to give a deposition in the lawsuit from the company Brand Sense, which claims it helped negotiate a perfume deal for Spears but was cut out of the profits.

Brand Sense wanted to see medical records proving Spears couldn’t testify. But Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Reva Goetz ruled Tuesday that Brand Sense Partners has no standing to see medical records.

Britney Spears is to marry for a third time.

The 29-year-old singer – who has two sons, Sean Preston, five, and Jayden James, four, with second husband Kevin Federline – got secretly engaged to long-term boyfriend Jason Trawick when the 39-year-old talent manager popped the question by writing the pop star a romantic poem.

After filling the ground floor of the couple’s Los Angeles mansion with roses and candles, Jason reportedly presented Britney with a flower-shaped diamond ring, according to The Sun newspaper.
An insider said: “She’s on cloud nine.”

The ‘Toxic’ hitmaker is also said to be keen to have another child, her first with Jason, but only wanted to do it once she had tied the knot again.

The source added: “Britney is desperate to settle down again and have more children. But she is very traditional and didn’t want to start a family with Jason until they’d tie the knot.”

Britney – whose first marriage to childhood friend Jason Alexander was annulled just 55 hours after they said, ‘I do’ in Las Vegas in 2004 – is now said to be planning a “low-key” ceremony in Hawaii once she has completed her upcoming world tour.

Britney Spears has filed a counter-complaint against the branding company bosses suing her for allegedly breaching a deal.

Bosses at Brand Sense Partners are suing the singer for $10 million, claiming she double-crossed them by trying to cut them out of a lucrative scent deal with Elizabeth Arden.

They want Spears to take the stand in court, but her legal team has insisted she is not competent enough to be deposed.

Brand Sense Partners bosses have asked the judge in the case to order Spears to sit for the deposition, and now the pop star is fighting back, claiming the branding firm withheld money due to her for her Radiance perfume.

And in court papers obtained by Tmz.com, Spears insists she he didn’t cut the company out of the Arden deal – and they are entitled to commissions.

Angry activists at a TV parents group have branded Britney Spears and Rihanna’s risque performance at the Billboard Music Awards a “profanity-laced sex show”.

The two pop stars teamed up to duet on Rihanna’s track S&M at the Las Vegas ceremony on Sunday, pole-dancing onstage in matching leather bodices with their hands clamped with handcuffs.

The performance, which opened the Billboard ceremony, has infuriated officials at the Parents Television Council.

A statement from PTC President Tim Winter reads, “The song title alone reeks of the adult entertainment industry and last night’s performance wasn’t far from it. What happened in Vegas should have stayed in Vegas, as the saying goes. It certainly has no place at 8pm on the publicly-owned broadcast airwaves.

“I cannot imagine what would possibly lead the ABC television network to air a profanity-laced, S&M sex show on primetime broadcast television.

“The overtly sexualized performance by Rihanna and Britney Spears was no accident or mishap, but a deliberate effort to target teens with images and lyrics that that glamorize whips, chains and other sexual fetishes.”

When Britney Spears made a rare appearance on the red carpet nothing is left to chance. Her hair is perfect, make-up expertly applied and outfit carefully chosen by a stylist.

But one thing her handlers couldn’t plan for was Kim Kardashian’s decision to wear the exact same dress.

The fashion disaster was made worse by the fact that Kim wore the dress first, a day before Britney took to the stage at the high-profile Wango Tango event in L.A.

There was a noticeable difference between dance-honed Britney’s svelte figure and Kim’s famously curvy derriere.

Unlike Kim, whose curves meant she was left anxiously hitching up the dress throughout the evening, Britney seemed to have no trouble keeping it up.

Britney Spears may be required to undergo a psychiatric examination after her parents claimed she was ‘mentally incapable’ of testifying in a court case.

The star’s mother Lynne is being sued for defamation by Spears’s ex-manager Sam Lufti over claims made about him in her tell-all memoir, Through The Storm.

She alleged that he regularly drugged Spears and harassed her following her well-publicized breakdown.
But Lufti claims the allegations are false and has requested that Spears be called as a witness to testify in the case.

The singer remains under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears, and her lawyer, Andrew Wallet.
Both are reported to be unwilling to let Lufti have contact with the 29-year-old, who was in a fragile mental state when she last had dealing with him.

But Lufti has rejected their claims, arguing that Britney is now back in control of her mental health.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lufti has had an expert in psychiatry analyze a recent video interview with Britney in support of his argument.

UCLA Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, Joshua Pretsky, concluded that Britney was able to testify and had shown evidence of ‘coherent and logical thinking, responsiveness to questions, and mental competence’.

‘In the Ryan Seacrest interview, which was recorded approximately two months ago, Britney Spears is interviewed at length, and she responds logically and coherently to questions, evidencing logical thinking and mental competency,’ he told the court.

‘In my opinion, there is good cause to conduct an Independent medical examination to investigate the Conservators’ claim that Ms Spears is not mentally capable of testifying, and the claim that she was not mentally competent to enter into a binding contract.’

Supporting Lufti’s claims are the changes in Britney’s circumstances since her break-down.

She has now regained custody of her two young sons, is about to embark on a world tour, and is in a stable relationship.

A spokesperson for Britney Spears has shot down rumors the pop star is to wed again after she was photographed wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring.

The Toxic hitmaker sparked speculation she was set to marry her agent and boyfriend of two years, Jason Trawick, on Friday when she was spotted wearing a dazzling jewel on her left hand.

But Spears’ representative insists the singer is not heading down the aisle anytime soon, telling Eonline.com the reports are “completely not true”, before adding: “It’s not an engagement ring.”

Spears recently refused to rule out the idea of settling down with Trawick, insisting she would “never say never” to a third wedding. The mum-of-two previously wed dancer Kevin Federline and had a 2004 quickie Las Vegas marriage to childhood sweetheart Jason Alexander annulled after 55 hours.

‘Hold It Against Me’ hitmaker Britney appears on a remix of Rihanna’s recent raunchy single ‘S&M’, with the Barbadian singer promising the results are “sexy”.

She tweeted: “I got a #SEXY collabo comin your way supa dupa soon!!!! OH YEAH!!! By popular demand… Its BRITNEY BITCH!!!!”

Britney responded, tweeting back: “You’re such a tease! I like it, like it. You think they’re ready Ri Ri?”

Rihanna added further praise for the star, writing: “Britneyspears One of the biggest worldwide popstars! U gangsta #EPIC.”

Britney returned the compliment, writing: “You ain’t so bad yourself honey.”

‘S&M’ caused controversy when it was released in January, with its raunchy video – which sees Rihanna simulating sex with a blow up doll – reportedly banned in 11 countries, mainly in South East Asia.

It was also edited for commercial radio in the UK, with certain words including “sex”, “whips” and “chains” omitted.

A release date for the remix has yet to be given.
