Despite a very public breakdown and the complete loss of legal control over her own life, Britney Spears has maintained her title as the Princess of Pop.

The singer appears tanned, toned, and back in fighting form in new stills leaked from the set of her most recent music video for the single Hold It Against Me.

However the 29-year-old star has had to publicly deny that she needed the use of a body double to help perform some of the more tricky dance routines.

Britney appears to be in good form in the various scenes for the much anticipated new video.

In one shot the singer is surrounded by topless male dancers – her toned legs and abs on show in a pair of tiny shorts and a cropped bustier.

In another Britney bares her stomach during a dance move as she rehearsed behind-the-scenes for the next part of filming.

She also looked flawless in close-up shot of her surrounded by microphones.

The singer recently had to deny the use of a double after several reports suggested she was unable to complete the choreography and even walked off set in tears.

A spokesperson for Spears told TMZ, ‘These accusations could not be further from the truth.’

‘Britney worked extremely hard on this video and rehearsed for six weeks prior to shoot.’

The spokesperson said Spears and the director ‘got along great’, adding: ‘Fans will immediately see how inaccurate these claims are once they see the video.’

The track is the first single to be released from Britney’s new album ‘Femme Fatale’, which is out on March 29.

The video is set to premier on MTV, MTV.com and Vevo.com on Thursday February 17.

The pop star announced the title of her seventh studio set via Twitter and posted the cover art, which, much like the artwork for her “Hold It Against Me Single,” is a sexy closeup shot of Spears against a neutral background.

The album is set for release on March 15. Its first single, “Hold It Against Me” reached No. 1 on the Billboard’s Hot 100 chart last month but quickly tumbled down the chart.

“I’ve poured my heart and soul into this album over the last 2 years,” Spears tweeted of “Femme Fatale.” “I’ve put everything I have into it. This album is for you, my fans, who have always supported me and have stuck by me every step of the way! I love you all!”

Britney Spears partied with LeBron James before she walked down the aisle as a bridesmaid at a friend’s wedding in Florida last weekend.

Spears, her boyfriend, Jason Trawick, and her recently reconciled parents, Lynne and Jamie, held court in a private area at nightclub Liv at the Fontainebleau Hotel surrounded by four security guards.

But at about midnight, James joined the foursome and hung out with the family until 2 a.m.

The ‘Womanizer’ hitmaker – who is to release her as yet untitled seventh studio album in March – is to open the prestigious awards ceremony on February 13 with her new number one hit single ‘Hold It Against Me’.

According to gossip website Bloginity.com, while the 29-year-old singer has been the subject of rumors surrounding the upcoming event for some weeks, this is the first time an official Grammys source has been able to confirm that she will be opening the ceremony.

The troubled star – who won the 2005 Best Dance Recording Grammy for ‘Toxic’ – released ‘Hold It Against Me’ earlier than initially planned on MP3 downloading service iTunes earlier in the month, and thanked fans for their support in sending it straight to the top of the charts.

She tweeted: “Don’t #HOLDITAGAINSTME for coming out early. I couldn’t wait any longer. Hope you don’t mind. Seriously, I have the best fans ever. I love you all so much!! Everything I do is for you! xoxo Brit.”

Britney joins the likes of rapper Eminem – who leads this year’s nominations with ten nods in ten categories – Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and indie group Arcade Fire, who have all confirmed they will also be performing at the event.

Oops she did it again…Britney Spears has walked down the aisle for the third time. But this time the pop star is not tying the knot.

The 29-year-old singer played bridesmaid for her gay assistant and friend, Brett Miller in Miami, yesterday.

The blonde looked beautiful in a floor length blue gown for the wedding ceremony, in which Brett married actor, Frank Lionetti.

Flying into Miami on Thursday, the singer and her boyfriend Jason Trawick enjoyed a romantic weekend.

The pair stayed at the Newport Beachside Hotel, alongside several other friends who were part of the wedding party.

Enjoying an ocean-front room for two, the couple decided to spend some time on their own after arriving late on Thursday night.

‘During Thursday night’s rehearsal dinner, Britney ditched the reception and ordered room service for herself, Jason and her bodyguard,’ a source told People magazine.

The pair chose some comfort food from the hotel’s menu.

‘They had spaghetti bolognese, turkey burgers, chicken noodle soup, a fruit plate and one turkey sandwich,’ said the insider.

Seemingly enjoying the hotel surrounds, they then surprisingly left the following day.

Privacy issues forced the couple to move to another hotel, with Britney complaining that the ‘pool wasn’t private’ enough.

But what an upgrade they got…

They settled on a Frank Sinatra Suite at the Fontainebleau in Miami, where the $35 million penthouse rents for $15,000 a night.

Britney’s friend’s wedding took place at Miami’s Spanish Monastery.

The singer looked right at home in the Florida church, beaming as she went under-way with her bridal duties.
Clutching a floral bouquet, she was all smiles.

Britney Spears’ new album is slated for a March 15 release, according to a leaked one-sheet created by her label Jive Records that outlines the marketing campaign for the set. Jive confirmed to MTV News that the date listed on the sheet is accurate.

Also confirmed are various producers and songwriters who worked on the album, which still does not have a title. In addition to Dr. Luke and Max Martin — who together helmed lead single “Hold It Against Me” and are the album’s co-executive producers — Rodney Jerkins, R&B singer Avant, Stargate, Fraser T. Smith and Bloodshy are listed as collaborators.

Other details mentioned on the sales-solicitation sheet include a description of Britney’s highly-anticipated music video for “Hold It Against Me,” which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 last week.

The one-sheet sums up the video as “a sexy, edgy dance piece directed by Jonas Akerlund and showing Britney at peak form and ability.”

Spears seventh studio album, the follow-up to 2008′s “Circus,” will be available in both standard and deluxe versions, according to the sheet, with the latter including additional liner booklet pages and three or four extra tracks.

Fans can also expect “a major TV event to launch the album,” worldwide online contests and a “LGBT/lifestyle campaign” to market it to fans.

Spears’ manager, Adam Leber, recently spilled a few details involving her photo shoot for the album via Twitter, describing the shoot as “pure glam.” Fans should be on high alert for another leak, as Leber added, “Photos are nothing less than spectacular. We’ll share some soon.”

Thanks to his new hit, the joke’s not over for Kanye West.

After his new collaboration with Jay-Z “H.A.M.” hit No. 2 on iTunes, the controversial rapper took to Twitter to joke around with another blonde pop tart with the same line that made millions watching the VMAs cringe more than a year ago.

“Yo Britney,” he tweeted on Friday. “I’m really happy for you and I’mma let you be #1, but me and Jay-Z single is one of the best songs of all time.”

The tweet wasn’t the first time West made fun of his interruption of Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs that derailed his career for a bit and sent him into hiding for a few months before he reemerged, seemingly strong as ever.

In a free track he posted last summer, he finished the song “Uncle Charlie, by the way, and I’ma let you finish, but I got Beyonce on the track.”

While the tweet to Spears was caught in a screengrab by popeater.com, West apparently received enough backlash from the apparently not-funny-yet joke that he took it down on Friday.

“On a serious note, I’m truly happy for @AvrilLavigne and @BritneySpears … No hate in 2011!” he tweeted.

“I thought LOL signified a joke … I didn’t get the 2011 LOL doesn’t signify a joke anymore memo … LOL or something else I guess,” he added.

On Spears’ Twitter account, her manager Adam Leber, tweeted back at West, “Thanks for “letting” us be #1. Much appreciated …”

West’s and Jay-Z’s single was the first from the duo’s upcoming album “Watch The Throne” which is set to be released in March.

The star of Britney Spears’ brand new single, “Hold It Against Me,” isn’t the pop tart herself. It’s a burning, pulsing swath of synthesizer that oscillates throughout the track and pulls you into the chorus. It may be nothing but a gimmick, but it’s the kind that can’t help but make you move.

That’s a good thing considering “Hold” means to be a dance-ready club song, one that conforms to current trend on the pop charts. The focus also clicks because it allows the song to sidestep the cipher at its center. (That would be Britney).

Ms. Spears has two long time collaborators to thank for this act of synth-pop camouflage: Max Martin and Dr. Luke.

“Hold It,” which makes its debut Tuesday at midnight on radio and on iTunes, serves as a first tease of Ms. Spears’ new CD, which arrives sometime in March. That as-of-yet untitled work will be her first since “Circus” two years ago.

Though that album marked a minor comeback for the singer by featuring far more appealing material than her aptly named “Blackout” from 2007, Spears has never fully recovered from her fall-from-grace some years back. Her “Circus” tour found her looking zombie-like and the album of the same name sold modestly by her standards (1.7 million).

Former party pals Britney Spears and Paris Hilton were unexpectedly reunited on Thursday night after turning up as guests to the same Hollywood dinner party.

The Toxic hitmaker cut wildchild Hilton out of her life in 2008 after suffering a headline-grabbing breakdown which saw her lose custody of her two sons with ex-husband Kevin Federline and being placed under her father’s conservatorship.
Spears has since cleaned up her act and has been working on resurrecting her pop career, while Hilton has found herself in trouble with the law on numerous occasions last year for drug possession.

But the two blondes smiled and posed for the cameras on Thursday after coming face-to-face at Palihouse private diners club for a mutual friend’s birthday party, which Spears attended as her boyfriend Jason Trawick’s date.

An eyewitness tells E!Online.com, “Britney was shy with most of the people there. But she and Paris hugged and talked for awhile.”
