Busta Rhymes has been burning up the phone lines so much, he apparently racked up a $9,000 bill.

A spy said the rapper had a downtown New York AT&T store tied up dealing with the outrageous bill Friday afternoon.

One shopper tells said a frantic customer-service rep was glued to the phone trying to sort out the humongous tab.

The source said the “Pass the Courvoisier” star has been racking up the minutes rapping on the phone for the past three months. Rhymes’ rep said, “No comment.”

Busta Rhymes hopes to cure the ailing music biz with a dose of “Chemo” – aka his upcoming CD. “I called the album ‘The Chemo’ because it seems like the industry and music overall is dying slowly,” says the rapper.

“I just want to start the first stage of chemotherapy treatment that needs to take place and hopefully inspire others to do their part and contribute to different stages of the cure.”
