In the March 10 issue of Page Six Magazine, free inside the New York Post, Chris Brown is ready to be back in the spotlight, saying he is done apologizing for the assault of his then-girlfriend Rihanna in February 2009:
“People are always gonna talk. But I’m in a positive place. I consider myself a grown-ass man. And at the end of the day, if I walk around apologizing to everybody, I’m gonna look like a damn fool.”
He sat for an interview and photo shoot at a Soho art gallery, and talked about the art that inspires him, his new album, and addressed what he calls the “mishap.”
“A handful of people stuck by me,” Chris says, referring to fellow artists such as Pitbull and Pharrell Williams of N.E.R.D. “But when [most] people see certain things happen to somebody, they usually turn away. They don’t want to get involved with it because they don’t want their name attached to anything negative. Unknowingly, they kind of show their true colors when they do that. But you can’t blame people for how they want to be portrayed or if they don’t want to be associated with somebody who had a particular mishap.”
“People kind of get clouded, and then when they get up to the top, they kind of lose a bit of themselves and they’re not as humble. So knowing how it can be taken away and given back and taken away again, it kind of just taught me to be focused.”
About his new record, F.A.M.E. (for Forgiving All My Enemies):
“Fame is what everybody seeks. I get an adrenaline rush from it. But fame is basically love and hate all in one. Without bad there is no good, without good there is no bad. Everybody who dissed me now wants to say ‘Hey.’ They wanna get on the record. They wanna let me back in the door. The last two years, everybody dissed me. But my fans were so dedicated. The way I look at it is, you can’t walk around mad, because then you just prove everybody right that you’re an angry person. So ‘F.A.M.E.’ means ‘Forgiving All My Enemies,’ and also ‘Fans Are My Everything.’ I’m dedicating it to my fans.”

Chris Brown wants a judge to ease a restraining order barring him from being near ex-girlfriend Rihanna. The R&B singer is due to appear in court Tuesday to make the request and update a judge on his progress.
Brown remains on probation after pleading guilty to assaulting Rihanna in February 2009.
Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg has ordered Brown to stay 50 yards away from Rihanna, although the two can be 10 yards apart if they are attending a music industry event.
Rihanna’s attorney Donald Etra said his client supports removing the stay-away provisions in the order. He plans to attend the hearing and lay out Rihanna’s position.
Brown’s attorney Mark Geragos did not immediately respond to an e-mail message seeking comment.
Brown acknowledged beating his then-girlfriend in a rented car after leaving a pre-Grammy Awards party.
Since then, he has been required to perform physical labor in his home state of Virginia. He has completed domestic violence counseling and has received praise from Schnegg for complying with the terms of his sentence.
Brown and Rihanna were nominated for Grammys this year. Brown did not attend the ceremony earlier this month. Rihanna performed at the event.

Chris Brown is hoping that a restraining order preventing him coming within 100 yards of Rihanna will be lifted in time for next month’s Grammay Awards.
The RnB star is expected to attend this year, with Rihanna also expected to make an appearance.
Brown was in court yesterday for a progress hearing after completing a year-long domestic violence counselling program required as part of his guilty plea in 2009.
But after congratulating him for finishing the program in ‘fine fashion’, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Patricia Schnegg said she need to check with Rihanna’s attorneys about lifting the restraining order.

The order currently requires Brown to stay at least 100 yards away from Rihanna, unless they are both attending an entertainment industry function on February 13, where he has to stay at least 10 yards away from her.
The judge said she would not be opposed to the order being lowered to a ‘do not annoy’ order.
Brown’s lawyer Mark Geragos said it could be a problem if the protective order was not lifted, telling Schnegg: ‘It can be a problem with award shows.’
Brown – who will still remain on probation for five years – will have to return to court once Rihanna’s legal team have decided whether they object to the lifting of the restraining order.
NBA player John Wall and pop star Chris Brown had a dougie dance off over New Year’s weekend in DC.
It’s hard to tell but either John Wall or Chris Brown starts dougieing on or before CSD’s infectious hit single starts bumping and the crowd gets wild. The “dougie-off” was competitive. Who do you think won?

Chris Brown tried to show is softer side as he visited a Miami beach with his latest girlfriend, Jasmine Sanders, and his new puppy.
The couple both dressed in very casual clothes, dipped their toes in the water to cool off during their stroll.

Chris and Jasmine also spent their time at the beach doting over Chris’ new bulldog puppy, Diana.
The rapper made sure to keep a watchful on the new pet by picking the little pup up at times.
Chris is said to have first started seeing Jasmine, a 5’9″ model, in June.
