The ‘AM to PM’ singer’s attorney Randy Kessler revealed yesterday that the final paperwork was signed by the judge presiding over their case in Atlanta earlier this month.

She hinted at her newly single status on her twitter page, writing: ” I love freedom… Freedom to be.. To love… To have no boundaries… I love the unexpected, to break the rules. And to OWN my decisions.”

Christina married the rapper – real name Terius Nash – in Las Vegas in September 2009 and while he served her with divorce papers nine days before she gave birth to the couple’s daughter Violet in February 2010, they are said to have reached an amicable settlement agreement.

Mr. Kessler has previously said: “Ms. Milian strongly believes that peaceful resolution is better for their child and she is very pleased with the settlement and that it was accomplished out of court.”

The couple only announced their decision to split after The-Dream was spotted canoodling on the beach with another woman.

His spokesperson said at the time: “Terius ‘The-Dream’ Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward.”

Christina Milian’s pet pooch has cost her $55,000 after she was forced to settle a lawsuit over allegations her dog brutally attacked an elderly neighbour in 2008.

Leo Skolion, 81, sued the Dip It Low star in January 2010, two years after alleging she had let one of her pets escape her property, leaving the dog to run wild and take “a huge chunk” out of the back of his arm. He received 19 stitches to treat the wound.

In legal papers, Skolion claimed Milian was guilty of negligence and it was her fault he had been left with “severe personal injuries”.

He named Milian, her mother and her sister in the lawsuit and sought undisclosed damages.

The R&B hitmaker settled the dispute with her neighbor last week, handing Skolion $55,000 to put an end to the matter, according to TMZ.com.

Pop star Christina Milian has opened up about her hellish marriage to producer Terus “The Dream” Nash, confessing she knew he was cheating on her but thought she could fix the broken relationship.

Nash filed for divorce from Milian just days before the couple’s daughter Violet was born last February. They reached a settlement out of court in November.

Details about their split agreement and custody plans were not disclosed and Milian insists that information will never be made public – although she’s taken issue with inaccurate claims she’s been ordered to remain silent about their brief marriage.

And now she’s speaking out in the February issue of Latina magazine, admitting the five-month marriage was awful.
She says, “I’ve been to hell and back, but I survived… I tried to be someone I wasn’t because I wanted my marriage to work, but ultimately, if it’s not working, it’s not working.”

As for the cheating scandal that wrecked her marriage, she adds, “Looking back, my gut was telling me something was off. But I thought I could fix it.”

But she’s glad the drama is behind her and she’s looking forward to an exciting New Year: “I feel so much sexier than ever before… I feel brand new. I’m ready for the next phase of my life.”

Singer/actress Christina Milian is baffled by reports she has been banned from talking about her divorce from R&B producer The Dream, insisting rumors of a gagging order are “completely” false.

The former couple agreed a divorce settlement out of court last month, nine months after the birth of its daughter, Violet.

Details about their split agreement and custody plans were not disclosed and Milian insists that information will never be made public – although she’s taken issue with inaccurate claims she’s been ordered to remain silent about their brief marriage.

She says, “It’s creepy, I have no idea where that rumor came from. It’s completely a rumor… Everything about that is so fictitious. I’m free to speak about anything that I want to, except that we chose especially, the settlement, not to make that public.”

And Milian, who wed The-Dream in September 2009 after a whirlwind romance, is confident she will eventually patch up her differences with her ex-husband for the sake of their baby girl.

She adds, “I don’t wanna fight… We chose to keep it really simple. I really want my daughter to have her father around and to have a friendship, to try and build somewhat of a friendship for my daughter, and to be able to speak to each other.”

The 32-year-old producer – real name Terius Nash – claimed his marriage was “irretrievably broken” in the papers, which were filed on February 17.

The ‘Dip It Low’ singer gave birth to daughter Violet just over a week later on February 26.

Earlier this month, The-Dream claimed he felt suicidal in the wake of his split from the singer after just five months of marriage.

He blogged: “I’ve cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I’ve tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming.

“This is not to justify anything, it’s true emotion! It’s a real thing that involves real people!”

Christina and The-Dream married in the Little White Chapel in Las Vegas, just a week before announcing she was pregnant with their first child together.

He recently confessed to having spent little time with Violet since her birth – because Christina was protective of their daughter.

He said: “Christina’s very attached. She doesn’t let anybody near that baby. Not even me sometimes!”

Breaking up with Christina Milian has been a nightmare for music producer The-Dream.

“I’ve cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I’ve tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming,” he wrote on his website Friday, in a long post that addresses the couple’s split.

“I’m sorry for the embarrassment to everyone involved! If there’s anyone to blame and you can’t fathom this happening, please blame me and me alone for not being upfront!” he wrote. “Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we WERE FAILING and HAVE NOW FAILED!”

But The-Dream, who signs the post with his real name, Terius Nash, says fans shouldn’t jump to conclusions about why his 10-month marriage collapsed so quickly.

“Its easy to say that it’s because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, IT’S NOT,” he wrote, reacting to rumors that he had been caught cheating on Milian, his wife and mother of his child.

On July 10, scandalous photos surfaced showing The-Dream frolicking in the Caribbean with his assistant, according to UsMagazine.com.

But a rep for the producer claims Nash and Milian decided to part ways long ago.

“The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter, Violet,” Nash’s rep told the gossip website.

That might be news to Milian. As recently as June 29th she was asking fans to support her husband, tweeting “Everybody go pick up that LOVEKING album from THE- DREAM ASAP! Support my boo!”

After Nash’s rep confirmed the split to Us, Milian took to Twitter to offer her own two cents on the situation, writing, “WHATEVER YOU THINK.. BELIEVE IT.”

And whatever fans choose to believe, it’s clear the dream of a happy marriage is over for the musical couple.

“I am Human and people fall in and out of Love all the time,” Nash wrote. “This is Life. Nothing’s promised or perfect, neither am I.”
