Madonna’a brother, Christopher Ciccone, is not giving up on his quest to take Simon Cowell’s seat as a judge on Fox’s hit “American Idol.”
Ciccone at various times during his 25-year career has served as his sister’s assistant, backup dancer, stylist and artistic director. He launched a Facebook page — “Christopher Ciccone for American Idol! — in January, though it’s so far drawn only 602 members. Still, he’s not giving up.
“I think I can bring a particular kind of credibility to the show. I’d be the only person sitting at the table who actually created a pop star from the beginning, and helped keep her there for 20 years,” he said. “I know what it takes to make it.”
Ciccone isn’t worried about his competitors for the Cowell seat — who are rumored to include Howard Stern, Interscope chief Jimmy Iovine, Warner Music CEO Lyor Cohen and former Sony Music boss Tommy Mottola. “I think Howard is a great guy, but it’s difficult to see him sitting there, with the demographic he brings to the table,” Ciccone says. “And I know producers are talking to Perez [Hilton], although he’s probably the only person who doesn’t realize how irrelevant he is.”
Ciccone says that he hasn’t yet talked to Madonna about his quest, but, “I’m sure she’d be supportive,” he says. “Though I can’t imagine what she’s doing on ‘The Marriage Ref’ [Jerry Seinfeld's new NBC show, on which Madonna was a recent panelist] giving advice to married couples. I guess it’s kind of ironic. Everyone has their experiences regarding marriage — hers are maybe what not to do,” he laughed.
Ciccone also thinks he’d fit in with the current judges — even new addition Ellen DeGeneres, with whom Cowell has privately feuded. “I like Ellen,” he says. “She’s got the regular-folks appeal. I really love the show. It’s become part of the American dream.”

Christopher Ciccone will follow up his Madge-trashing memoir, “Life With My Sister Madonna,” by directing his first movie, “Twist.” It’s a gory teen thriller about a serial killer running wild through a coastal California town, according to The Hollywood Reporter. “We have not seen a script this twisted since ‘American Psycho’ and ‘Wild Things,’ ” boasted producer Nathan Folks.

Madonna’s Brother on Chelsea Lately Talking About His Tell All Book About Madonna

MADONNA’s estranged brother CHRISTOPHER CICCONE released his tell-all book about life with the superstar because he wanted to “watch her squirm”.
Ciccone published the controversial tome, Life With My Sister Madonna, earlier this month and he recently admitted that his revelations in the book left his famous older sister “very upset”.
But the 47-year-old insists the book was a watered down version of what he wanted to publish – because his lawyers forced him to omit much of the more controversial content.
He tells MSNBC.com, “There are plenty of things I left out of the book. And things that the lawyers and editors took out.”
But Ciccone still enjoyed Madonna’s reaction to the controversy.
He adds, “I will admit to a guilty pleasure in watching her squirm. (Releasing the book was like a) giant f**king orgasm. Therapy I already had; this was pure sex.”

MADONNA’S BROTHER MAKING REALITY TV SHOW?

MADONNA’s brother is set to further embarrass the pop star – he’s reportedly planning a reality TV show based on his life as her sibling.
It was announced earlier this month that Christopher Ciccone is writing a tell-all memoir about the superstar, to be published without her permission, with infamous celebrity biographer Wendy Leigh.
And now Ciccone, 47, is allegedly shopping around a show that will focus on the fact he’s her brother.
A source tells New York gossip column Page Six, “He hasn’t gotten a deal yet, but he’s been pitching it around.”
Madonna’s relationship with her younger brother is said to have become strained in recent years, even though the pair worked together intimately in the early 1990s, with Ciccone serving as artistic director on the star’s 1991 documentary In Bed With Madonna, and designing and directing her Girlie Show tour in 1993.
