The ‘Cougar Town’ actress – who announced her trial separation from her ‘Scream’ co-star last month after 11 years of marriage – is still uncertain as to what the future holds for the pair.

She explained: “I don’t know what will happen, but this is not like we’re getting divorced. This a separation and I think that takes a lot of courage. Whatever is supposed to happen will be the best thing for us.”

“Sometimes you just realize, ‘Wow, we actually have grown apart’.”

Courteney has been taking advice from her former ‘Friends’ co-star Jennifer Aniston – who split from then-husband Brad Pitt in 2005 – on how to deal with her marriage problems.

The actress – who has a six-year-old daughter Coco with David – added to TV Week magazine: “We just have fun, we laugh, we’re inseparable and it’s great. It’s funny, a lot of really close friends are kind of going through this right now or like Jennifer who has gone through it.

“I don’t know what’s going on in the planets or what, but things are being shaken up and I don’t know what’s going to happen, but, yeah, Jennifer has been amazing for sure.”

The 39-year-old actor – who announced his separation from the ‘Cougar Town’ star after 11 years of marriage earlier this week – has apologized for being too honest on Howard Stern’s radio show in which he revealed Courteney had gotten tired of being a “mother” to him.

He wrote on his twitter page: “Thank you all for your love and support at this time. I’m trying figuring out how to be the best person I can be, but it’s been a process of trial and error.

“I went on Howard Stern to provide clarity and honesty about what I’m experiencing but while doing that I shared too much … it’s alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled . Life is a process of spiritual evolution.”

The Hollywood star – who has a six-year-old daughter Coco with Courteney – believes he and his estranged wife will become better people because of the split.

He tweeted: “I’m sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people for what we’ve learned.”

However, Courteney, 46, is said to be unsurprised by David’s candid interview and doesn’t want to get caught up in any “ridiculousness”.

A source said: “She knows who David and what he’s like. She married him. All that he said, and how he said it, that’s David.

“Does she wish she could edit what comes out of his mouth? Sure. But nothing surprises her at this point. What’s amazing about Courteney is that she doesn’t get caught up in the ridiculousness.”

A New York Times fashion blogger outraged readers last week after alleging that Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox and Kate Hudson have “put on a little weight” at the Golden Globe awards. But while fans raised eyebrows at the bold criticism, one person who was less downright angry was Cox’s husband, David Arquette.

The actor voiced his disgust at the opening of the “Pee Wee Herman Show” in Los Angeles Wednesday. “I don’t think that has anything to do with anything. Writing articles about people that put on weight is just wasting space for real news,” Arquette said. “And who really cares? I love round people, I love skinny people. I love people in general; we’ve got to get past labels and stop being so critical about everything. On the Internet, people find that place and think they can just speak their mind, but a lot of the time you see how mean people are. In general, we just need to be a kinder society.”

And as for the highly-anticipated “Scream 4,” while Arquette, wife Cox and co-star Neve Campbell have all signed on, director Wes Craven has not officially come on board.

“I’m so excited,” Arquette proclaimed. “I hope more than anything that Wes Craven does it. If he doesn’t it will break my heart, I have my fingers crossed.”

Also at Pee Wee’s show was troubled Tinseltowner David Hasselhoff (who stuck to the water all night and told us he was “doing good, taking one day at a time”) before gushing about his new gig – an unnamed reality show on A&E.

“Living with the Hoff baby!” he exclaimed. “All the ups and all the downs, all the stuff you see in the press. What’s good, what’s bad, what’s indifferent, that’s what you can expect.”

But it seems one show is not enough. Hasselhoff wants to follow in the footsteps of “Melrose Place” and “90210” and bring back those busty babes running along the beach in slow motion.

“I would absolutely do Baywatch again,” he said. “I would do anything; it was a lot of fun.”
