Famed British model Daisy Lowe is showing off her curves in Playboy’s September issue.  The 22-year-old fashion model, who is the daughter of English singer-songwriter turned fashion designer Pearl Lowe and Gavin Rossdale, appears on the cover of the magazine as well as in a playful yet seductive 8-page nude pictorial, which was shot by photographer Tony Kelly (issue on U.S. newsstands, online at www.playboydigital.com, and on i.Playboy.com Friday, August 12 and available on U.K. newsstands during the week of August 15.  Additional photos are available at www.playboy.com/daisy).

Daisy is a rising star in the British fashion world.  She has modeled for high-end brands including Chanel, Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, Agent Provocateur, Marc Jacobs, Pringle and DKNY.  In fact, she was labeled by Westwood as a “new style icon of her generation: beautiful, sexy, and one of those girls who doesn’t have to try and be anything except herself.”

In addition to posing for Playboy’s September issue, the brunette bombshell sat down with Contributor Martin Deeson to discuss her rock and roll roots, her father and her future.  Following are selected quotes from the interview:

On discovering at age 15 that her father is Gavin Rossdale, not Danny Goffey, the drummer from Supergrass: “My whole life I thought my father was someone different.  But Gavin and Gwen [Stefani] are really good people, and I value so much the time we get together.  After seven years we’ve worked out how to be a family.  I guess you can’t deny my rock-and-roll heritage!  Both my parents – or all four of them – have done well in the music scene.”

On her mother’s drug addiction in the 1990s: “She was very good at hiding it from me.  I had no idea.  When it comes to drugs I just think, Cool, thanks for learning that lesson for me, Mom, because I don’t want to have to learn it myself.”

On her misunderstood identity: “I’ve grown up with rock and roll, but that’s not who I am.  People think rock chick is code for ‘parties hard’ – but I don’t.  In reality I’m a homebody.  I love going to bed at midnight – apart from when I’m in Paris for fashion shows.”

On her future: “I like being creative, and I guess I’ll just go where the wind takes me.”

Superstar DJ Mark Ronson, the pop guru behind Amy Winehouse and Lily Allen, has split from his girlfriend, Agent Provocateur model Daisy Lowe – with friends blaming the 14-year age gap between them.

The sudden split follows a heated argument four days ago.

Daisy, 19, was on the catwalk yesterday at New York Fashion Week but last night boarded a flight back to the UK for a reunion with her mother, designer Pearl Lowe.

The lingerie model is lined up to appear in at least two shows at this week’s London Fashion Week and Ronson was expected to attend.

But a source said: ‘Mark is not coming to London. He and Daisy had a row over something small which escalated into something rather big.

‘Daisy got very upset and shot at Mark that she was leaving him. He completely surprised her by saying, “Fine, leave.” That was it. They haven’t spoken since the argument.

‘She has said it’s over and that the age difference was a big deal. She comes over as being very mature for her years and incredibly sophisticated but at heart she’s still a little girl who’s not ready to settle down.’

Daisy had moved to New York to pursue her career. The source added: ‘She has quite a few friends in New York and she’s deciding what to do about her future. Her career is going from strength to strength and she’s not sure if she’s ready to leave New York but she is adamant things are over with Mark for the time being.’

The couple were together just last week at Ronson’s 33rd birthday party at Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire.

Daisy was introduced to his family, who had flown over from New York, and told one partygoer: ‘I feel like a Ronson now. I’ve been playing with the nieces and nephews and being polite to Mark’s mum. I’m exhausted.’

But friends say Daisy is reluctant to settle down at such a young age.

A source said: ‘Despite his party-boy image, Mark’s quite serious and just wants to meet the right girl and settle down. That was an issue for Daisy, who is still quite young at heart.

‘They’re in different places at the moment and they both need some time and space to think about things. Mark’s at the top of his game. He’s very self-assured and confident and he knows what he wants. Daisy still has quite a lot of growing up to do.’

Daisy is the love child of Pearl Lowe and Bush star Gavin Rossdale, while Mark is the nephew of tycoon Gerald Ronson, who spent six months in jail over a share scandal.

Mark took Daisy to the Brits as his secret date in February when he won best male artist. They first stepped out publicly in April.

‘The attraction between Mark and Daisy was immediate. Mark really pursued her and wined and dined her. Ultimately they both want different things, though,’ added the friend. Daisy’s spokesman said last night: ‘Yes, they have split up but we are not making any further comment.’

WITH Gavin Rossdale her father, and Gwen Stefani her stepmother, Daisy Lowe , should have been a pop star. Instead, she’s a fashion model. Lowe was just picked by British designer Karen Millen for her next ad campaign. “She looks incredible in the clothes,” gushed one fashionista, “and she’s the ideal Karen Millen woman – young, eclectic, unique and an international style icon in the making.”
