Derek Jeter is a free agent again. After three years together, the Yankees captain has broken up with Minka Kelly, the actress’ representative told The Associated Press.

Jeter, in Baltimore for a series against the Orioles, would not comment.

Kelly was a frequent visitor to Yankee Stadium while the two were dating.

In a rare public display of their relationship, Kelly was included in the HBO documentary on Jeter’s chase for 3,000 hits, “Derek Jeter 3K.”

Kelly is best known for her role in “Friday Night Lights” and is now filming ABC’s remake of “Charlie’s Angels.”

In case you were in any doubt, Minka Kelly is hot….. and very, very sexy.

Esquire Magazine knows it, and that’s why they voted her ‘sexiest woman alive’ in their annual round-up of all those that are genetically blessed in Hollywood today.

Just to prove that she’s every bit deserving of winning the top spot, Kelly has stripped off her clothes for a steamy photo shoot with the popular men’s monthly.

Kelly looks stunning in the photo shoot, posing in a variety of sexy lingerie in provocative poses in both colour and black and white.

The 30-year-old actress also opened up about her somewhat unconventional childhood.

‘My mom lived a fast life,’ Minka tells the magazine’s November 2010 issue. ‘It was all about what we could do to have fun with nothing.

She, for most of my life, she was a dancer. An exotic dancer. She was a stripper. Um, so she would come home at like three, four o’clock in the morning, and sometimes she would have a really great night, and so she would wake me up in the middle of the night and we’d go to Ralphs and go grocery shopping.

‘And that was so much fun. We’d have the whole grocery store to ourselves, and we would have a blast and buy a hundred dollars in groceries. And it was just the best day ever. The best day.’

Kelly also claims to be happy to be out of her twenties and vows to age gracefully: ‘Done with the twenties.

‘I’m confident–confident in my skin, and I’m cool with my flaws and all that stuff. It just feels nice to be at peace with yourself.

‘I think my thirtieth birthday gave me permission to have all that. The twenties were a pain in the ass–figuring it all out. What am I doing? Where do I go?’

The 30-year-old actress is best known for playing Lyla Garrity on the NBC show, Friday Night Lights.

The show which ran for four years was cancelled in 2009, leaving her lots of free time to dedicate to her boyfriend, New York Yankees shortstop, Derek Jeter.

Kelly and Jeter have been dating since May 2008 and are engaged to be married.

The New York Post reports that the couple are set to wed on November 5 at the exclusive Oheka Castle complex in Long Island.

Teen idol Kevin Jonas was married there last December.

Both have enjoyed high profile romances in the past.

Jeter has had his pick of gorgeous women, he dated Mariah Carey, Jessica Alba, Vanessa Minillo and Brazilian supermodel, Adriana Lima.

Minka’s past romantic partners have included the lusty John Mayer and actor Chris Evans.

Minka Kelly stole the show at Derek Jeter’s autograph signing for Steiner Sports at the Beekman Tower Hotel the other day.

The Yankees star doesn’t usually flaunt his rumored fiancée, but was especially affectionate with Kelly as she cozied up next to him.

Confused guests thought they were getting a two-for-one at the signing and begged the “Friday Night Lights” star for her autograph, too.

“Minka laughed at the requests, while Derek teased that she was getting more attention than he was,” a witness said

After months of speculation that the Yankees’ hunk and his sexy steady Minka Kelly are headed to the altar, The Post has learned that the super couple may have settled on a wedding date — Nov. 5.

And while it may bring little solace to Jeter’s legion of female admirers, fretful Yankees fans will be glad to note the date is at least two days after the World Series ends.

After getting a tip about the upcoming nuptials, The Post confirmed the date by spotting a curious entry in the official calendar at the ritzy reception palace Oheka Castle in Huntington, LI, for the first Friday in November that read simply “JETER wedding.”

The sumptuous Long Island site is certainly suitable for the superstar shortstop. The opulent Oheka features a French-style chateau hotel and spa, with an exquisite main ballroom and formal gardens with eight reflecting pools and three fountains.

The castle — the second-largest private residence in the United States — has hosted lavish parties for royalty, Hollywood stars and heads of state for nearly a century. Teen idol Kevin Jonas was married there last month.

Oheka, known for fiercely protecting the privacy of its guests, would not comment.

But a reporter, posing as a bride-to-be seeking to book a wedding that weekend, was shown a scheduling calendar printout as sales manager Rick Bellando explained that the castle hosts just one wedding per day — and the entire weekend in question was already booked.

A quick peek at the calendar revealed Jeter’s name in big bold letters.

When our spy asked if couples were ever open to switching dates for money, Bellando said most were so wealthy, money was not an issue.

“I guess if it were Derek Jeter getting married, he really wouldn’t care about my money,” our reporter suggested, pointing to the entry.

Bellando chuckled, but quickly tried to dismiss speculation.

“Oh, that’s not Derek Jeter. We wouldn’t use his real name if it were. When the Jonas brother got married here last month, we used a different name.”

The ladies of New York City go crazy over Derek Jeter – almost literally.

One in particular – a hostess from Nino’s Positano at 47th and Second – got so worked up over the Yankee captain that she caused some major drama outside his Tudor City pad late Sunday night.

An insider dishes that the star shortstop ordered in from the Italian eatery – where he’s a regular – and the very thought of him caused the fairly new employee to go into a tizzy.

“She started freaking out on the phone when she realized who it was,” the insider said, “and basically begged the delivery guy to take her with him.”

The delivery guy, who looked less than comfortable with the request, offered to let the lass come along and wait outside the building, but not go upstairs.

“Jeter is a very important customer to [the restaurant's owner] Nino Selimaj,” the insider says. “He even named a chicken entree after Derek and has a special private table in the back that’s available to him whenever he wants it. The kid knew better than to upset Derek – and Nino for that matter – by bringing a crazed fan do his doorstep.”

But the hostess didn’t give him much of a choice: Once outside the building, we hear, she grabbed the food and tried to charm her way inside, begging the doorman to let her go up and meet Jeter with his dinner.

“I’m his No. 1 fan,” she yelled.

Several tenants in Jeter’s posh lobby stopped to look at the woman, who was practically pleading at that point.

But her cryin’ didn’t work: Spies say the doorman immediately escorted her out of the building and delivered Jeter’s cuisine to his door personally.

What became of the overzealous hostess? When Nino himself got wind of the situation later in the evening, he promptly had her fired.

“He can’t risk that kind of crazed behavior around his celebrity customers,” the insider said, adding that she had been his favorite hostess before Sunday night’s incident.

But the famed restaurateur isn’t wasting any time mourning the down-sizing of his staff. Insists Nino: “I’ll take Jeter over that bimbo any day.”

No one seemed to notice Minka Kelly at last week’s game in which Derek Jeter tied Lou Gehrig’s record for most hits as a Yankee. Everyone saw that his parents were there, but there was no mention of his woman. “They were smiling and laughing and then moved up to the luxury box with Jeter’s dad,” said our source. “When Jeter hit the tying hit, Minka was screaming and jumping up and down and taking pictures of him.”
