The rapper will perform his latest single Coming Home, mentor the show’s contestants and dress them in his Sean John designs on an episode due to air next month.

And he insists he can’t wait to spend some quality time with his former lover, who is wowing critics as a judge on the hit talent contest.

He says, “She’s just looking so good. You’ve got to give it to her for having twins and to be doing it how she’s doing it. I’m so proud of her.”

Combs is also a big fan of her judging skills, telling news show Access Hollywood, “The way she handled coming after (former Idol judge) Simon (Cowell)… she’s been, like, a compassionate person. She has made me cry, like, twice, and she’s looked good doing it. And she has made sense.

“She’s a nice person (and)… when you’re super nice, your emotions get the best of you. It’s good though, it’s good to see that change in the competitive shows. I think she’s very refreshing.”

Lopez broke down in tears on the show last week when she had to send a favourite contestant, Chris Medina, home.

The hip-hop mogul is to perform his latest single ‘Coming Home’ with his group Diddy-Dirty Money on the TV talent search show next month and will also style the aspiring singers through his Sean John clothing collection.
He said: “I’m helping the contestants with their styles. I’m helping to dress them with Sean John.

“I’m bringing a celebrity stylist to help us this week. We’re going try to get them to have that superstar shine and swagger that I try to exude on a daily basis.

“I’m going to hit ‘em with some musical tips, some inspiration, some motivation, and then I’m gonna show ‘em how to do it. I’m going to hit that stage after I show ‘em how to have that swagger.”

This season has seen both Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez – who Diddy dated for almost three years until 2001 – join the judging panel in place of Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres and the rapper is impressed with how well his former lover is doing on the show.

He told ‘Access Hollywood’: “First of all she’s just looking so good. You’ve got to give it to her for having twins and to be doing it how she’s doing it. I’m so proud of her.

“The way Jennifer handled coming in after Simon, and even myself from ‘Making the Band,’ and the way we were hard coaches – she’s been a compassionate person. She has made me cry, like, twice, and she’s looked good doing it. And she has made sense so, you know, I’m proud of her.

“She’s a nice person, so when you’re super nice, your emotions get the best of you. It’s good though – it’s good to see that change in the competitive shows. I think she’s very refreshing.”

Catch Diddy in all of his “swagger” glory when he appears on “American Idol” on April 18 on FOX.

Valerie Joyce Wilson Turks has filed a lawsuit against the hip-hop superstar accusing him of being behind the 2001 September 11 terrorist attacks in New York and stealing a poker chip from her that was worth “100 zillions of dollars”.

The woman also claims she and Diddy – real name Sean Combs – once dated and the 41-year-old star is the father of her 23-year-old son so wants $900 billion in child support while “loss of income” makes up the other $100 billion.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Valerie accuses Diddy of sexually assaulting her children and breaking one of her child’s legs.

While a Los Angeles judge denied her request for a restraining order against Diddy, he did set a hearing for Monday.

This is not the first time Diddy has faced legal action in recent months.

Last September, he was sued for $12 million for age discrimination by Francesca Spero, who alleged she was sacked by his firm Bad Boy for being old and disabled, after she was laid up with hip surgery in 2008.

According to the 51 year old’s legal claim, Diddy was “unsympathetic to her condition” and tried to push her out of the company.

The hip-hop superstar has tried his hand at more serious acting in the past, appearing in ‘Monster’s Ball’ and on the Broadway stage, but after a role in ‘Get Him to the Greek, he is keen to show off his funny side much more.

He told MTV News: “I’ve done a lot of drama mostly my whole career, with Broadway and ‘Monster’s Ball’ and stuff like that – my short little career. But when I did ‘Get Him to the Greek,’ I really fell in love with making people laugh. I have a knack for improvisation, and hopefully I’ll be able to make people laugh more.”

In ‘Get Him to the Greek’, Diddy played a foul-mouthed record executive and his comedy skills impressed his co-stars.

Jonah Hill said: “We were saying Diddy’s kind of the McLovin of ‘Get Him to the Greek.’ You don’t know what he’s going to do. Every time he breathes in the movie, it garners a huge laugh.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs raced over to the Cosmopolitan Hotel’s New Year’s Eve bash after hosting his own party at Las Vegas nightclub LAX, only to get stuck in an elevator for 25 minutes.

Combs arrived at Cosmopolitan about 2 AM with his girlfriend, Cassie, and a crew that packed the elevator so tight that it jammed.

After Diddy was finally free, he partied with Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Kanye West, Jennifer Lopez and Rihanna in the VIP Boom Box room at Cosmo’s Marquee nightclub.

A rep for Diddy didn’t get back to the press last night.

Sean “Diddy” Combs warmed up for his Ciroc-sponsored New Year’s Eve bash at club LAX in Las Vegas with some big spending in St. Barts. Sources said the music mogul spent $500,000 to charter a 200-foot yacht for himself, his twin daughters, D’Lila Star and Jessie James, and their mother, Kim Porter, to troll about during his vacation on the island.

Then he dropped $50,000 at club Casa Nikki, where he and Porter joined Tamara Mellon and a handful of others. Diddy also hosted late-night bashes on his yacht with guests, including Chili Peppers frontman Anthony Kiedis and Roman Abramovich.

His rep had no comment.
