Flavor Flav likes to keep it real — real honest.

In his new memoir, the rapper, whose real name is William Drayton, is shockingly candid about his past life experiences with drug use, reality TV fame, children and losing his virginity.

The 52-year-old told PopEater that he used to spend $2,600 on drugs every day for six years. His addiction totalled close to $5.7 million spent on drugs alone during that time span.

He credited his ability to stay clean by moving away from New York in 2003 and surrounding himself with new “people, places and things.”

“I didn’t want to build a bad reputation in other states. I wanted to leave all that stuff in New York. That’s what really helped me get clean by me not wanting to build up a reputation of me going through neighborhoods buying drugs,” he added.

Nowadays, Flav is well known for his role on several VH1 reality shows, including “The Surreal Life,” “Strange Love” and “Flavor of Love.”

He mentions that none other than MC Hammer helped him with the launch of his TV career.

“I asked MC Hammer for his advice and he said I should do ["The Surreal Life"] because if I do it then great things could happen afterwards like it did for him and he was right,” he said.

Flav also discussed being in a relationship during the taping of his reality dating show.

“Well I’m an entertainer, my job is to bring America good TV. Yeah that was kind of difficult [having a girlfriend during the show] but I had to do it. I’m still with my girlfriend, we’ve been together now going on eight years and we have a kid together,” he admitted.

But, probably the most shocking confession of them all?

He lost his virginity at the age of 6.

“I lost my virginity by experimenting. The girl was the same age as me. We kind of felt a little something funny. We knew it was kind of wrong yet we felt it was kind of natural,” he revealed.

When asked about how that was even possible, Flav responded, “I mean I call it a lost virginity when the penis penetrates the vagina, I do consider that a cherry pop.”

Veteran rapper Flavor Flav is waging war on fast food giant KFC after opening his first fried chicken restaurant in Clinton, Iowa – right next door to a branch of the established chain.

The Public Enemy star launched Flav’s Fried Chicken in the city on Monday and he’s already planning to expand the business and turn it into a U.S.-wide brand to compete with KFC and its animated spokesman, Colonel Sanders.

He says, “I always said to myself, ‘Colonel Sanders, you better watch out. Your boy Flavor Flav is coming and you better watch out.”

The hip-hop star acknowledges he’s stepping out of his comfort zone with the restaurant venture, admitting, “I ain’t gonna lie: this is way out there.”

But he’s determined to make Flav’s Fried Chicken a success – and is even prepared to head into the kitchen and man the deep fryer himself.

And he’s confident food fans will be impressed with his secret recipe chicken: “The taste will blow up your taste buds. You’ll have fireworks in there.”

Flav has an outstanding balance of $63,458 to the Albany County Child Support collection unit for the care of three kids he had with Mary Parker.

In July 2008, she filed to amend her child-support agreement with Flav since one drafted in 1996 covered just two of their kids. She won an appeal in January increasing Flav’s payments from $117 to $837.72 a week for child support, plus tuition for the kids’ private school, retroactive to the 2008 filing.

“The judgment is recent as I was just made aware of it,” Flav told us, adding, “I’ll certainly be addressing it. However, I’ve made payments on my children’s tuition, and have made direct payment to the mother outside of the court order.”

We hear the VH1 reality show star and erstwhile rapper is trying his hand as a TV commercial director as part of Doritos’ annual “Crash the Super Bowl” ad contest, in which users are asked to submit their own ads to compete for a $1 million prize. “He did this totally randomly and unprovoked,” says a source at the company. “And it’s actually pretty damn good.”

Flavor Flav is an irresistible hunk of burning love — in his own mind. The much-married, often-jailed father of seven was outside the Tribeca Grand on his way to the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors in Brooklyn last week when he bumped into an attractive brunette. Flav, who had a big white clock around his neck, gave her a hug, got very close, and said, “You got some pretty killer light eyes. Sorry to hit you with that, girl, but I had to say it.” The brunette told us, “I don’t know if I should be flattered or go take a shower.”
