The Game will not face criminal charges after a tweet from the rapper’s account incited a telephone flash mob that jammed the emergency phone system at one of the busiest stations of the Los Angeles County sheriff’s department, the agency said Wednesday.

Capt. Mike Parker said the department decided to drop the matter after conducting an investigation and consulting with the district attorney’s office. He also welcomed an apology the rapper made to the department.

“His willingness to help share with the media and the community that the safety of the public is what is most important is a great message,” Parker said in a statement.

The tweet posted on The Game’s Twitter account on Friday encouraged his 580,000 followers to call a number if they wanted an internship.

That number turned out to be the Compton station’s official help line.

Phones at the southeast Los Angeles County station were jammed by hundreds of calls for more than two hours, prompting authorities to bring in additional help. Many callers hung up as soon as someone answered, while others asked deputies about a music internship.

The sheriff’s department said during that time people with legitimate issues that included a missing person, spousal abuse and two robberies were also trying to call in.

The Game, whose real name is Jayceon Terrell Taylor, later told CNN it was a “joke gone wrong.”

“I never intended for anybody to take it the wrong way or for it to go this far, and just, you know, I think it’s all nonsense,” he said.

Parker said the department was consulting with legal experts to see whether legislation could be developed to address social media messages that may cause harm to public safety, while still respecting individuals’ rights to freedom of speech.

The Los Angeles County sheriff’s department says The Game incited a telephone flash mob that overwhelmed the emergency phone system.

Capt. Mike Parker tells the Los Angeles Times that the rapper tweeted the number of the Compton station Friday and told his 580,000 followers that if they wanted an internship with him, they should call the number.

Sheriff’s Lt. Suzan Young says “the phones started ringing like crazy” around 5:20 p.m. Parker says phone lines were jammed for more than two hours.

The rapper later posted that his account was hacked but also tweeted that it was “an accident.”

The Game could face criminal charges. Parker says investigators are planning to forward a criminal complaint to the district attorney’s office.

Rapper The Game’s manager Jimmy ‘Henchman’ Rosemond has been apprehended by federal agents in New York a month after a warrant was issued for his arrest for his alleged involvement in a cocaine distribution ring.

The authorities learned that the Czar Entertainment Ceo was staying at the W Hotel and chased him down as he left the building on Tuesday morning, according to L.A. Weekly magazine.

Rosemond is believed to have been part of a three-year-old cocaine distribution ring between Los Angeles and New York.

And the rap boss could be in a lot more trouble – convicted murderer Dexter Isaac recently claimed that Rosemond paid him to rob Tupac Shakur at New York’s Quad Studios in 1994.

Shakur was shot during the raid, which sparked the infamous east coast/west coast rap feud between Tupac and Notorious B.I.G.

New York police officials have launched an investigation into the validity of Issac’s statement, contained in a letter to urban website AllHipHop.com.

Today the cover of the Game’s upcoming track “400 Bars” hit the web today with a new release date for the West Coast MC’s anticipated “The R.E.D. Album,” which is now set for March 23rd.

The cover of the single was reportedly leaked by employees from Game’s website (Publicity). Earlier this month, Game pushed for “400 Bars” to get on a DJ Drama mixtape which will be entitled “Red Everything.”

During his beef with G-Unit, Game dropped the single “300 Bars,” taking shots at anyone and anything he didn’t like. During his beef with Jay-Z, Game announced that Jay-Z could be the target of the upcoming “400 Bars.”

The Game is NOT father of Tila Tequila’s baby. Which makes sense. Seeing how that certified nut job isn’t actually pregnant. Could someone please get this girl about 1,000 mg. of Prozac and some Depakote to go with it because she is OBVIOUSLY bi-polar!!!

Tila, honey, your 5 minutes of fame are OVER!! Go back to doing porn and whatever it was you did before MTV because no one cares anymore!

Friday, Tila Tweeted obvious hints that the rapper (whose real name Jayceon Taylor) was her imaginary baby’s daddy. Last night, however, The Game posted a Twitter message – like only The Game can – which denied this accusation:

Just left TMZ settin the record straight, my gyrl aint like that Tila Tequila sh!t !

Case closed, right? HA! Wrong…

Tila has perfected the strategy of making crap up, and then blogging about the subsequent fallout in order to stay in the news.

Check out her Tweets in response to The Game’s denial:

I CAN STILL ABORT MY BABY IF I WANT TO, SINCE GAME IS NOT GOING TO STEP IT UP & TAKE HIS RESPONSIBILITY, BUT I AM NOT GOING 2 KILL MY BABY!!

GAME IS THE MOST TALKED ABOUT HIP HOP ARTIST IN BLOGS TODAY! WHY? CUZ HE HAS GOOD MUSIC? NOPE! CUZ HE IS ASSOCIATED TO TILA TEQUILA! PUNK!

I will raise my baby just fine without him. Deadbeat Dad! Me & MY baby will be just fine. Im going to the Grammy Party now.

The doctors were saying “we’re so sorry he’s doing this 2 you. You don’t deserve this but you’re going to be just fine”

ppl say I lied about everything. HOW? The said I lied about being pregnant. GUESS WHAT? I AM PREGNANT! I TOLD U PEOPLE I NEVER LIE!

Oh… wait. Tila says she is pregnant? She never lies? How many times HAS she said she’s pregnant by a celebrity now knowing damn well she is NOT? Nevermind that.

Game said it best when he tweeted: Game…. When it comes to Tila Tequila’s unborn child……. You are NOT the father (Jerry Springer’s voice). wouldn’t hit it wit 50′s pole.

Ha ha! I don’t think ANYONE wants to hit Tila these days – everyone has all ready HAD her! She’s a messy whore that no celebrity in his right mind would sleep with – unless he wants to wake up the next morning and see himself on the news as her new fiance or baby-daddy.

Once upon a time, gangster rapper Game had preconceived notions about eccentric rapper/producer Pharrell Williams — and vice versa. But the two have since put aside their differences; Williams is the executive producer of Game’s fourth studio album, “R.E.D..”

“It was the most hood album I had until Pharrell came in and took over,” the Compton, Calif.-raised rapper said of the collaboration, which Interscope Records will release February 16.

“Don’t get me wrong — this album is still hood,” Game continued. “I would describe it as the beauty of the sky meets the gangster of the streets. It’s just got a bit more color to it.”

Williams isn’t the only mixmaster contributing beats to “R.E.D.” Cool and Dre, DJ Khalil and Dr. Dre all lend their production efforts, while Beanie Sigel, Rick Ross, Justin Timberlake and Robin Thicke make guest appearances.

Billboard: What does the album title mean?

Game: It was a title Pharrell and I came up with. It was like where I am at in my career. My last album felt like it might’ve been my last album, but it turned out not to be. So, this album is the rededication — to myself and to what I care about, like my friends, my family, my city, my hood, my genre and rap.

Billboard: How did you link up with Williams for this album?

Game: We worked together one day, and that one day turned to 30 days, and those 30 days turned to 60, and then those 60 developed into a friendship. We both prejudged each other, but once we met, we realized although we come from different places and different situations, we were kind of the same in different aspects of life. Now, our relationship is bigger than music. We have life conversations about bettering ourselves, and we’ve become good friends. We realized that aside from being musicians, we are brothers in this thing we call hip-hop.

Billboard: Dr. Dre produced two tracks for this album so far. How does it feel to work with him again?

Game: Dre and I have always been on the same team, I’ve just been too wild for him at times. He’s older and legendary and he’s been through enough drama in his career and doesn’t have to jump into my drama. So, I understood that and why he pulled back.

Billboard: You recently got the words “Star Trak,” the name of Williams’ label, tattooed on your arm. Are you signed to him now?

Game: No. I’m Black Wall Street all day, but considering all he’s done for me — he saved my career — I’m riding for Star Trak too. I hold dear anything that helps elevate me and my life and my career and helps me take care of my family. I’ll be in debt to him forever for what he’s done for me. I appreciate him and I would never go to such extremes as to get a tattoo if it didn’t deserve it.

Billboard: 50 Cent, your former label president and arch enemy, released an album recently that sold only 160,000 copies in its opening week. What are your thoughts on that?

Game: It didn’t do the numbers he expected, but he should try harder next time. Some sell a million, others do 50. For him to do everything he’s done and start beef with other rappers like Rick Ross and draw media attention to himself in that way but only sell 10 more thousand than Ross means people aren’t buying into the bulls–t anymore.

Billboard: You’re still wrapping up this album. Are there any surprises you’ve got up your sleeve?

Game: I’m trying to get (Interscope co-founder and chairman) Jimmy Iovine to throw me in the studio with Lady Gaga. She’s a rebel, and I go against the grain every day, so, if it happens, it’ll be monumental for the state of music.
