As someone who was back modelling swimwear six weeks after giving birth, Gisele Bundchen’s experience of motherhood is not exactly ordinary.

But that hasn’t stopped the supermodel deciding to share with us lesser mortals her insights on how best to raise children.

The 30-year-old Brazilian reckons there should be a ‘worldwide law’ that new mothers should all breastfeed for six months.

Gisele, who gave birth seven months ago, won back her flawless figure days after Benjamin Rein was born.

She said: ‘I think breastfeeding really helped. Some people here think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think, “Are you going to give chemical food to your child, when they are so little?”

‘There should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months.’

The model, who is 5ft 11in, gave birth at home and apparently managed to meditate throughout.

Naturally, she then got up and made pancakes.

She told September’s issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine: ‘Not for one second did it cross my mind that I was not going to have my baby at home. I am not the first person to give birth naturally. Billions of other women have come before me and have done this – so why can’t I do it?’

Gisele practiced kung fu for two weeks before the birth, did yoga three times a week and meditated every day in preparation.

‘It prepared me mentally and physically,’ she said. ‘It’s called “labor”, not “holiday” for a reason, and I knew that.

‘You want to go into the most intense physical experience of your life unprepared? That doesn’t make any sense to me. Then I was ready and I thought, “OK let’s get to work”. I wasn’t expecting someone else to get the baby out of me. I had to do it together with him.’

And to add to Gisele’s fairytale motherhood experience, she said she dreams of living on a farm with Benjamin and her husband, millionaire NFL player Tom Brady.

‘I want to get a farm where I am going to live for the rest of my life. I like the idea of a secluded place,’ she said.

‘I will have horses, my kids will be riding, and there will be chickens and ducks.

The NHS and the World Health Organization advise that breast milk is the best form of nutrition for infants.

It recommends breastfeeding only for the first six months of a baby’s life because it provides all the nutrients needed for optimal growth, development and health.

But although four in five women in England start off breastfeeding, only one in five keeps it up until the six-month mark.

And despite Gisele’s eulogizing of home births, a report in The Lancet medical journal last week said it could triple the risk of infant death.

The supermodel and her NFL quarterback husband Tom Brady – who wore matching navy outfits – invited friends and family to St. Monica’s church in Santa Monica, California, for the baptism of their six-month-old tot Benjamin.

After the service, the guests left the church – which was also where Tom and Gisele married last year – and celebrated with lunch at the beachfront hotel Casa del Mar, according to X17Online.

Meanwhile, the 29-year-old Brazilian beauty claims Benjamin is already potty trained.

According to Gisele, Benjamin uses the toilet after breastfeeding in the morning and afternoon after she consulted a parenting manual for tips.

She told Brazilian website Globo.com: “Give it about five minutes, and bang.”

Her sister Tia Patricia added: “Every time she calls me to see it, I say, ‘Do not want to see it.’ ”

Gisele is trying to teach Benjamin to use the potty early because she is trying to cut down on the tot’s use of diapers.

She explained: “Diapers pollute the environment. Where does this garbage go?”

You never thought Gisele Bundchen was a mortal human anyway. Now there is more proof.

The Brazilian supermodel is modeling lingerie in a very un-airbrushed campaign for Brazilian brand More.

This is her body fewer than five months after giving birth to her first son, Benjamin, with new England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Baby weight? Hah.

Stretch marks? Nah.

Jealous? Yah.

In a few years time this kind of behavior is sure to elicit cries of disgust from Benjamin Brady.

But for now he slept happily in his mother’s arms as Gisele Bundchen embraced her American football player husband Tom Brady.

The new parents were enjoying a romantic break in Paris, taking their son on a relaxing boat trip down the Seine.

Other passengers looked away as the devoted couple kissed and cuddled.

Despite his tender age, four-month-old Benjamin is a well-travelled youngster.

Last week his mother took him to Brazil for her twin sister Patricia’s marriage to Rodrigo Pereira.

As the maid of honour, 29-year-old Gisele was in charge of calming the bride.

But she also took the opportunity to introduce her son to her grandparents and the rest of the family.

While spending the weekend in Brazil, Bundchen told the local press she only spoke in Portuguese to her baby son.

She said: ‘I only talk in Portuguese when I’m with him. I think he must get used to the language and learn it – it is important to be bilingual. He’s not just Brady, he’s a Bundchen too.’

Bundchen gave birth to Benjamin in a bath tub in her and 32-year-old Brady’s Boston apartment on December 8.

In a recent interview with Vogue magazine, she admitted she clashed with her husband over what they should name their son.

She said: ‘I wanted him to be called River because I wanted something always flowing, immortal. My husband said, “There’s no way we’re going to call him River.”

They ended up settling for the middle name Rein, a tribute to Gisele’s father Reinoldo.

Proud new mother Gisele Bundchen introduced her baby son Benjamin to the Brazilian side of his family for the first time at her twin sister’s wedding over the weekend.

The supermodel and American football player husband Tom Brady jetted to Barra Do Ribeiro, near Porto De Alegre, with their 16-week-old son to attend fraternal twin Patricia’s marriage to Rodrigo Pereira at the Laurentia Vineyard.

As the maid of honour, Bundchen, 29, wore a pink layered Missoni 2005 dress and dressed her son in a mini tuxedo.

As Bundchen fulfilled her duties taking care of the bride, New England Patriots player Tom, 32, kept hold of Benjamin and carried around the baby’s bag full of nappies during the reception.

The trip marked baby Benjamin’s first ever holiday and provided an opportunity for him to meet Bundchen’s grandparents and the rest of the family.

Following the afternoon ceremony, the bride and groom joined 70 people to celebrate their wedding with a reception late into the night.

As part of Earth Hour, the environmentally conscious bride asked her guests to sit by candlelight for an hour after turning the lights off.

She added: ‘But my father’s name is Reinoldo, so it’s a homage to him. And it’s like water.’

After admitting gaining only 30lb during her pregnancy, Bundchen’s post-baby figure appeared to ping back into shape almost immediately after giving birth.

She explained: ‘I did kung fu up until two weeks before Benjamin was born, and yoga three days a week.

‘I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals. I was mindful about what I ate, and I gained only 30lb.’

Bundchen and Brady started dating in December 2006 – just weeks after the athlete ended his three-year relationship with Sex And The City star Bridget Moynahan.

Just two months into his relationship with Bundchen, Brady was surprised to learn Moynahan was pregnant with his child and she gave birth to their son John Edward Moynahan in August 2007.

Bundchen and Brady married in a low-key ceremony in Santa Monica, California on February 26 last year.

Before dating Brady, Bundchen had a high-profile on/off five-year romance with actor Leonardo DiCaprio until 2005.

Gisele Bundchen’s twin sister is to wed in Porto Alegre, Brazil on Saturday – 13 months after supermodel married sports star Tom Brady.

Patricia Bundchen, who is also Gisele’s manager, will exchange vows with her fiancee at the Laurentia Vineyard with her famous sister among guests.

X17.com reports the model will take three-month-old baby son Benjamin back to Brazil with her for what will be his first trip abroad.

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen had an unconventional delivery when her first child was born – she gave birth in a bathtub.

The Brazilian beauty gave birth to little Benjamin last month and has dismissed reports it was a standard hospital delivery.

She tells Brazil’s Fantastico, “I gave birth in the bathtub.”

Benjamin is Bundchen’s first child, but the second for her husband, American footballer Tom Brady. He has a two-year-old son Jack with former girlfriend, actress Bridget Moynahan.

The baby boy keeping New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen awake at night has a name: Benjamin.

The baby was born Dec. 8. But the day after the birth, Brady said he and Bundchen hadn’t chosen a name. Word finally came out Friday when Bundchen posted a holiday message on her Web site.

Bundchen revealed the baby’s name when she wrote, “Benjamin is a blessing and I could not be happier.”

Brady and Bundchen were married in February. Benjamin is Bundchen’s first child. Brady also has a 2-year-old son, Jack, with actress Bridget Moynahan.

Brady had joked earlier in the week about how hard it was to sleep with a new baby in the house, saying it was “a little tough early.” He added, “It’s coming.”
