After dates in Manhattan and Nashville, Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal have taken their romance to Los Angeles.

Swift, 20, flew into the City of Angels Wednesday and promptly traveled to Gyllenhaal’s house in the Hollywood Hills, People.com reported.

Gyllenhaal, 29, took his gal out on the town Thursday, where they were spotted together in his Audi.

Said a source, “Jake and Taylor seemed to be catching up and were chatting nonstop in the car. Jake was making Taylor laugh and she looked very happy.”

The couple has even managed to mix business and pleasure since their relationship began in October.

According to a new Us Weekly report, when Swift joined her beau in London last month, where he was promoting “Love and Other Drugs,” they attended a private dinner hosted by fellow A-lister, Gwyneth Paltrow, at her home.

Paltrow co-starred with Gyllenhaal in the 2005 film “Proof” and spent time with Swift at the CMA Awards days before the get-together.

“Gwyneth seems to have played a role in their relationship,” a source told the magazine.

With Swift’s 21st birthday Monday, the only question left is: what will he get her?

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal have further fuelled rumors they are a couple after the pair was snapped enjoying a coffee shop date in the singer’s adopted hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.

The hunky actor and country sweetheart have been romantically linked since they were seen walking hand-in-hand during a walk round Brooklyn, New York in October.

They reportedly spent America’s Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday together in New York, and have done little to deny the reports after Swift took Gyllenhaal to Nashville, where she now lives, on Saturday.

A fan snapped the pair in the Fido coffee shop and insisted they only had eyes for each other.

A fellow onlooker tells People.com, “They were smiling and laughing. They were talking a lot and enjoying each other’s company. They didn’t look like (just) friends.

“They were not trying to be discreet by any means. They were definitely a couple. They looked very happy.”

Jake Gyllenhaal is planning a 30th birthday to remember – he’s jetting off to the Arctic to face his fear of freezing temperatures and frightening mammals.

The Hollywood star will celebrate the milestone in December and he’s treating his family to an adventure in the Arctic Circle to scuba dive with walruses.

But Gyllenhaal admits there’s another reason behind the icy excursion.

He tells the New York Daily News, “The only reason I’m doing it is I wanted to do something that absolutely terrified me – killer whales and walruses and freezing cold water? That seems absolutely terrifying.”

And the actor insists he’s not worried about reaching the landmark age after a chat with his sister Maggie Gyllenhaal.

He says, “I was talking to my sister the other day about being 30 and celebrating the life you’ve had up to this point. I feel there’s a massive sort of sea change coming in myself and I’m psyched.”

The ‘Brokeback Mountain’ actor – who is currently promoting his new movie ‘Love And Other Drugs’ in the British capital – flew the country music star in by private jet on Friday night, and the pair were said to be holed up in London’s exclusive Dorchester hotel until yesterday morning.

Taylor – who has dated ‘Twilight’ actor Taylor Lautner and Disney star Joe Jonas in the past – was due to be in the city to perform at the Radio 1 Teen Awards yesterday, but jetted in early to see Jake.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: “Jake wanted some quality time with Taylor. If he hadn’t done this, they would have missed each other as he had to fly back to the US. He hired a jet which would have easily set him back $100,000.”

Rumors about the new couple have been circulating since they were spotted holding hands and looking loved-up while on a romantic walk around Brooklyn, New York, last month.

A source said at the time: “Taylor and Jake were walking around Park Slope holding hands. They looked like a couple!”

Jake – who split from actress Reese Witherspoon last December after more than two years together – has also dated stars including Natalie Portman and Kirsten Dunst in the past.

Taylor Swift is hitting town today to promote her new album, but she’s also sparking rumors about a romantic match with Jake Gyllenhaal.

The two were spotted flirting backstage at “SNL” and then were seen brunching and strolling in Park Slope, according to Life & Style.

Sources speculated that it could all be timely publicity for Swift’s album “Speak Now”.

She’s expected to do a series of TV appearances today before taping a concert at rooftop bar 230 Fifth to air on NBC around Thanksgiving.

Gyllenhaal’s rep had no comment; Swift’s rep didn’t get back to the press.

It was the nail-biting end to the season, but Jake Gyllenhall didn’t seem able to keep his eye on the ball instead the Prince Of Persia actor found himself seriously distracted as a pretty girl walked past at the basketball.

Despite having a prized seat to watch the LA Lakers play, Los Angeles native Jake preferred to follow the girl as she walked past almost straining his neck the single actor, 29, kept her in sight until she had gone up the stairs, before seeming to remember why he was there luckily the Lakers had no such problems.

The Lakers sealed the NBA Championship with an 83-79 win over their fierce rivals the Boston Celtics.

Joining Jake were die-hard fans including Jack Nicholson, the Kardashian sisters, Hilary Swank, singer Fergie and Dustin Hoffman at the Staples Centre.

The victory in game seven of the series at gave the team a 16th championship and a record 11th for coach Phil Jackson as they also became the first team to retain the title since winning three in a row from 2000.

The ‘Prince of Persia: Sands of Time’ actor is unsure if he would be a good casting, but would be willing to make the necessary changes to play the role of the troubled ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ singer.

He said: “I don’t know if I’d be the right choice. But the hair from ‘Prince of Persia’ could translate somehow. We could just bleach it.”

However, his co-star in the computer game-turned-movie Gemma Arterton does not think he would be the best choice to play Kurt and would prefer to see a new actor in the role.

She said: “I actually read a script recently, which was amazing. Someone needs to play Kurt Cobain. I don’t know, maybe they should find someone new.

“Because when you’re playing an iconic character, when you get someone really famous to play them, sometimes you’re just watching a famous person play someone else and it’s nice when it’s a completely new person.”

A number of people have been linked to the movie project recently, including British actor Robert Pattinson and ‘Iron Man 2′ star Scarlett Johansson.

However, Kurt’s widow Courtney Love vetoed the idea of 24-year-old Robert portraying the rocker, who committed suicide in April 1994.

She said: “Isn’t that so stupid, who would cast him? That’s just wrong, no offence. I watched the ‘Twilight’ stuff very, very recently and I get it, it resonates with the teenage girl in me, I understand epic love of that nature; I write about it all the time. But isn’t that silly?”
