Jennifer Lopez may be taking her blossoming relationship slow, but new beau Casper Smart apparently likes to move fast.

New reports show that before meeting the sexy singer, the Anaheim, Calif. native racked up a number of run-ins with the law.

According to E! News, Smart, whose real name is Beau Paul Smart, was charged with driving without a valid license in 2004, 2006 and 2007, as well as evading electronic toll charges in 2005 and exceeding maximum speeds of 65 miles per hour in 2004 and 2005.

The 24-year-old was recently arrested and charged with taking part in an illegal highway drag race and is currently out on $26,000 bail. In March, he pleaded no contest to the charge and was ordered to do 10 days of community service before his next court date on Jan. 5. If he doesn’t finish in time, Smart faces up to 90 days in behind bars and a $500 fine.

Regardless, Smart’s new romance with Lopez seems to be going strong.

“It’s pretty serious,” a source told E! “They’re together a lot. She’s never been happier.”

And while many suspect Smart has ulterior motives for dating the A-Lister, the insider said Lopez’s fame is not an issue.

“He’s totally cool,” the source added. “He’s not jaded. He’s not asking Jennifer to buy him this or that. He’s courting her, like sending her flowers. I think his intentions are in the right place.”

The singer-and-actress – who split from her husband of seven years Marc Anthony in July – has enjoyed several romantic evenings out with Casper, although friends insist it isn’t serious.

One pal told People magazine: “Yes, they are dating and having a good time. They’ve been getting more open with their flirting for weeks.

“It’s a fun fling. It’s not meant to turn into anything more.”

Casper – who has appeared in ‘Glee’, ‘Step Up 3D’ and ‘How I Met Your Mother’ – joined J.Lo on Friday night at one of her concerts.

He wrote on his Facebook page: “In Palo Alto Bout to do a show w/ Jennifer Lopez for some1s birthday.”

Jennifer – who has three-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with Marc – was recently linked to actor Bradley Cooper and the pair were said to have gone on several dates.

The 42-year-old beauty recently admitted she is an “eternal optimist” about romance, despite her marriage break-up, and is confident she will find love again.

Jennifer – who has been married three times and had high-profile relationships with P. Diddy and Ben Affleck – said: “I really wanted this family to work. That was my biggest dream, and I worked hard at it. We both did. Sometimes it doesn’t work – and that’s sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love . It’s still my biggest dream.”

Lopez, who recently split from husband Marc Anthony, launched into “Until It Beats No More,” while dancers reenacted scenes from her love life. A Lopez lookalike danced with guys who looked a lot like her exes Diddy, Cris Judd, Ben Affleck — and finally, Anthony.

After the song, Lopez told the sold-out crowd, “I took a trip down memory lane” — and then started to cry as the crowd gave her a standing ovation.

The “American Idol” judge told Menounos, “I’m just a regular person like everybody else. I have feelings and emotions.”

Lopez continued, “My life goes great — and it goes not great sometimes… but you know what, we keep going, and that’s what it is. I think they thought that’s what the message was.”

Explaining the re-enactment number in the show, Jennifer explained, “You know what it was, we wanted to do a section of the show that talked about love and through it, I go through different moments in my life.

The “On the Floor” singer also said in the show that she saw her mother in the audience and it brought up more emotions. “I didn’t see her the whole time, until this one moment, and I was a little bit emotional.”

Menounos said she saw J.Lo’s mom dancing. “Now I know where you get your rhythm,” said the “Extra” host. Lopez replied, “She’s something!”

Ultimately, Lopez wanted the concert to be about love. “It’s a beautiful thing. Life is a beautiful thing. Love is a beautiful thing.”

Does she believe in fairy tale endings? “The fairy tale ending is that you’re good no matter what. You have to be good with you! You have to be okay on your own, and then you can share a life with somebody else.”

Jennifer Lopez and Bradley Cooper did look like they were on a romantic date at Per Se on Saturday. One onlooker at the restaurant said, “He waited 10 minutes for her to arrive, and she turned up in a white bandage dress looking ridiculously hot.

They sat at a corner table smiling and chatting. It looked like they were heavily flirting. They left together out of a back door, so not to be seen.” While reps for J.Lo didn’t get back to the press, a rep for Cooper said, “They were meeting for business regarding a project.”

Meanwhile Jason Statham was delayed getting to Toronto for his movie, “Killer Elite,” because he was shooting a love scene last week with Lopez for their next film, “Parker.” Shooting of the steamy scene, in which J.Lo strips to her underwear, went till 2:30 a.m., and Statham then jetted to meet “Killer Elite” cast members Clive Owen and Robert De Niro in Toronto. But Statham got word over the weekend that the love scene needs to be reshot due to a technical glitch.

If there was ever any doubt, it’s gone now. Jennifer Lopez will be back at the judge’s panel for the 11th season of “American Idol.”

The Fox network has made Lopez’s return official, along with her fellow judges, Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler and record producer Randy Jackson. In addition, Fox said Wednesday that Ryan Seacrest will be back as host.

Singer-actress Lopez debuted as a judge this past season. But in recent weeks, she had publicly been coy about whether she would stay with the hit musical competition.

Any lingering skepticism was dispelled last week by “Idol” executive producer Nigel Lythgoe. He declared, unofficially, that Lopez would be back while interviewed on Seacrest’s radio program.

“American Idol” begins its new season Jan. 22.

An executive producer of the hit musical reality TV show “American Idol” says celebrity judge Jennifer Lopez will return for another season. Lopez hasn’t said anything.

But executive producer Nigel Lythgoe was on the “On-Air with Ryan Seacrest” program on Wednesday morning and made the announcement. He acknowledged it wasn’t official. But he added he was “delighted to say that all three judges” and the show’s “brilliant host” are back for the next season.

Seacrest is the show’s host. Singer-actress Lopez debuted as a judge this past season. The other judges are Aerosmith rocker Steven Tyler and record producer Randy Jackson.

“American Idol” is due to return to Fox television in January for its 11th season.

Fifteen years since he split from the actress/singer and amid a court battle over the use of video footage he took of their courtship, Ojani Noa is contemplating showing off what Lopez saw in the bedroom.

And it’s his current girlfriend, Claudia Vasquez, who is negotiating the deal with Playgirl bosses on Noa’s behalf.

She says, “Ojani is so perfect. He is like the statue of David. It’s gonna be beautiful. We are working on the offer and Ojani is getting happy with the deal.”

And she insists she has no problems with other women ogling her man, naked: “I think it’s awesome. People can see him but they can’t have him.”

Meanwhile, Noa’s business manager Ed Meyer insists the Cuban hunk will stun the world when he shows off his manhood.

He says, “To be honest (well-endowed porn star) Ron Jeremy would be jealous… J.Lo’s ex P. Diddy and her rumoured new man William Levy cannot hold a candle to Ojani Noa. He is one of the most attractive Cuban men on earth.”

An appeals court sided Friday with Jennifer Lopez and ordered that an invasion of privacy lawsuit she filed against her first husband be handled in arbitration rather than through a public court case.

The ruling by California’s 2nd District Court of Appeal states that Lopez’s attorneys provided a Los Angeles judge with plenty of information supporting her request that she had a binding arbitration agreement with ex-husband Ojani Noa.

Lopez sued Noa for $10 million in November 2009 after he and his agent announced plans to use portions of 11 hours of home videos to produce a movie based on the couple’s relationship. The couple was married in 1997, but the union lasted just 11 months.

A settlement agreement between the two prohibits Noa from “disclosing for monetary gain any private or intimate details about Lopez or Noa’s relationship with Lopez.” It also binds any of his agents to the same terms.

The videos, which both sides agree does not depict the singer and actress in sexual situations, have been blocked for release by a judge. Noa’s agent, Ed Meyer, however threatened to release clips from the videos earlier this year, which prompted a judge to order them to be stored in a bank safe deposit box with restricted access in June.

The court ordered Friday that Meyer is also subject to the arbitration provisions. He wrote in an email that he will appeal the ruling to the California Supreme Court. Noa’s attorney, Christopher Lauria, did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment.

Lopez, 42, won $545,000 in damages and attorney fees in 2007 in another lawsuit that blocked Noa from publishing a ghostwritten tell-all book.

She and her third husband, singer Marc Anthony, announced earlier this month that they were ending their seven-year marriage.
