Model/actress Jenny McCarthy’s first sexual romance was with a teddy bear called Tubby.
As a sex-crazed Catholic teenager, the Scary Movie 3 star was paranoid that she would go to hell if she pleasured herself – so she got intimate with a cuddly toy.
McCarthy tells news show Access Hollywood Live, “When I was a little girl we learned that you had to go through puberty and ‘take care of yourself’ otherwise you’d go blind and deaf. That’s what we learned in Catholic school – you can’t enjoy yourself.
“I had a little bear… and I thought, ‘If Tubby does it, he’s gonna burn in hell, not me. Tubby was this bear that I had for many years and the sad part of the story is that I came home one day and my mom sold it in a garage sale.”

She only broke up with comedian Jim Carrey in April after five years together.
But model and actress Jenny McCarthy is proving she has moved on .
The 37-year-old was spotted spending time at the beach yesterday with her new boyfriend Jason Toohey in Miami, Florida.
Jenny looked radiant and happy as she soaked up the sun on a lounger and watched Jason swim in the ocean.
Wearing a bright orange bikini the mother of one showed off her enviable figure.
The actress is actually in Miami as part of a promotional tour for her new book Love, Lust and Faking It: The Naked Truth About Sex, Lies and True Romance.
McCarthy admitted to Larry King earlier this month that she had moved on following her break-up and was dating again.
‘I am calling it very light dating, nothing too serious, just kind of gliding,’ she said of the budding romance.
‘I’m just not double-dipping, I’m exclusive,’ she told him.
Toohey, 35, is a businessman and former Las Vegas performer and fitness model.
The pair debuted their relationship back in August as they spent a weekend together in the city of sin.
The following week, Toohey changed his facebook relationship status to ‘in a relationship’ and posted a picture of him and Jenny snuggling as his profile picture.

The former Playboy Playmate – who split up with long-term boyfriend Jim Carrey earlier this year – claims she would love there to be some X-rated footage of her because she knows she rates highly in the bedroom.
She joked: “No I don’t have a sex tape and I’m kind of upset that I don’t. You know why? Because I’m really good.”
One of the reasons Jenny rates herself so highly in bed is because she has become more “horny” now she’s older.
The 37-year-old blonde said: “As we get older, I’ve noticed, now being 37, I’m much more horny than I was in my 20s.
“I’m about a 9.8 on the horny scale.”
Jenny also revealed how she doesn’t judge a man by the size of his manhood.
She told ‘Access Hollywood’: “Size definitely helps, but the thing is, you don’t need big. Average is awesome. Standard issue is awesome!”
Jenny recently revealed the reason behind her split from Jim, saying the fun had been taken out of their relationship.
The actress – who dated the funnyman for almost five years – said: “You know, the simple word I can give – and there’s a few, so let me say a few. The first thing is, when it’s not fun anymore, you need to start investigating and do an inquiry into the relationship.”

Jenny McCarthy used a chunk of the $20,000 she was paid for her first Playboy photoshoot to send her parents on a cruise – so they wouldn’t see the issue when it hit newsstands.
The actress/model was stunned when she was asked to be Miss October in 1993, but couldn’t break the news to her conservative, Catholic family.
Speaking out about her big break on Tuesday’s Oprah show in America, MCCarthy recalled, “My sister said to me, ‘Run away. You’re going to die. They’re going to kill you.’ So I didn’t tell my parents that I was going to pose for Playboy.”
She found a way to prolong the big reveal when the men’s magazine came out: “With the $2,000 out of the $20,000 you get paid, I sent them on a cruise the week the magazine came out.
“They found out. It was all over the papers, like, ‘Southside Chicago girl poses nude! She went to Mother MCAuley, a very prestigious Catholic school.’ I was surprised my house wasn’t burned down.
“My mom came home and was like, ‘Oh my God, what are the neighbours gonna say?’ And then, after about three days, she said, ‘You know what, I love you so much Jenny and I’m gonna stand by you. I hope you never do that again.’
“I said to her, ‘You know what, some day I’m gonna make you proud,’ and to this day she’s like, ‘Y’know, after all that autism work (you do), I don’t care if you showed your butt.’”

It’s been 17 years since she first posed for adult magazine Playboy, but on Saturday night Jenny McCarthy decided to dust off one of her raunchiest outfits as she hosted the Annual Midsummer Night’s Dream party.
The 37-year-old actress donned a tiny white bikini which left very little to the imagination as she posed for photographers outside the Palms Pool & Bungalows in Las Vegas.
While the Princess Leia-inspired outfit highlighted Jenny’s incredible figure, it appeared the actress may have been trying to look younger than she actually is – wearing heavy make-up and having her long blonde hair tamed into tumbling curls.
However, nothing could detract from Jenny’s toned curves.
Speaking recently about how she stays in shape, mother-of-one Jenny said: ‘I eat a lot of soups and salads.
‘I puree a lot of vegetables because there is still protein in vegetables. I love spinach salads with nuts so it’s mainly vegetables.’
Other stars to attend the annual Playboy event over the weekend included Entourage actor Kevin Dillon, who was celebrating his 45th birthday.
The party saw guests enjoy a selection of the best performers and magicians, as well as Jenny singing Happy Birthday for Kevin.
Jenny has moved to Las Vegas for the month with eight-year-old son Evan, and has been seen exploring hotspots including nightclub Vanity, as well as the infamous Chucky Cheese funhouse with Evan.
She said recently: ‘My house is under construction.
‘I needed a place to live. So I said, “Why not rent a house in Vegas because I love it?”
‘It’s a small town inside of Vegas. Everybody knows each other. It’s kind of wild. Everyone’s really friendly.’
Jenny McCarthy is to close her academy for autistic children following a series of disagreements with the school’s co-founder.
The actress/model opened the Teach2Talk Academy in California in 2007, two years after her seven-year-old son Evan was diagnosed with autism.
But McCarthy has now announced the school will shut after a string of problems, with a statement from her rep revealing a rift with co-founder Dr. Sarah Scheflen contributed to the closure.
The statement, released to Hollywoodlife.com, reads, “Jenny and her partner at the Academy, Sarah Scheflen, had different visions for the school and made a decision to go their separate ways. Both intend to continue on in this important mission. Sarah and Jenny really enjoyed their time working at the Academy and feel honored that they were able to provide such high quality early intervention services to so many children with autism and other developmental disabilities.”

Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy have taken to Twitter to announce their breakup.
The two actors each tweeted Tuesday that they have ended their relationship after five years. Publicists for Carrey and McCarthy confirmed the split.
The 48-year-old Carrey says on the social networking Web site that he wishes her “the very best!”
The 37-year-old McCarthy tweeted that she “will always keep Jim as a leading man in my heart.”
Both say they were grateful for the time they spent together.
McCarthy also tweeted that she would remain involved in his adult daughter’s life.
