Kanye West is a finicky flier.

A source said the rapper threw a fit at LAX Monday night on his way back to New York from the Grammys after he and his assistant were seated in business class instead of first.

“He wanted to be bumped up,” says our witness. West and his aide were eventually moved to the better seats.

A rep for Kanye — who garnered widespread condemnation over his onstage outburst at last year’s MTV awards as Taylor Swift accepted her award — didn’t get back to us.

Kanye West and Taylor Swift are set to come face to face for the first time since the rapper stormed the stage to protest the singer’s 2009 MTV Video Music Awards win – in the studio.

The two stars will be among those joining Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie for a We Are The World 25th anniversary revamp, which will take place on Monday, February 1, 2010 in Los Angeles, according to U.S. TV show Access Hollywood.

West has publicly and privately apologised to the Love Story singer after ruining her big night at the VMAs – but they haven’t met since he stormed onstage at the beginning of the ceremony and declared Swift’s Best Female Video prize belonged to Beyonce.

Sources claim West and Swift, Celine Dion, Wyclef Jean and Miley Cyrus will all be part of the star-studded recording, which has been hastily arranged to aid the Haiti earthquake relief effort.

The original 1985 charity anthem featured performances by Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan and Diana Ross.

Kanye West and Amber Rose

It is meant to showcase the very best of sartorial splendor, but Paris Men’s Fashion Week was over shadowed by A-list disasters yesterday.

Kanye West’s girlfriend Amber Rose proved the most serious offender as she attended the Kris Van Assche show in a shredded black dress over an incredibly high-cut nude coloured bodysuit. HORRIBLE shoe choice for that outfit!!!!

Earlier the pair stepped out in the French capital in rather ghastly long fur coats.

Model Amber liked her hooded lynx fur jacket so much that she refused to take it off as they took their seat front row at the Louis Vuitton catwalk show.

In another move sure to outrage PETA supporters, she was later seen in a bizarre cropped orange jacket that featured tufts of fur.

Kanye has previously come under fire for his penchant for the controversial winter items, with pop star Pink leading the choir of critics.

She said last year: ‘There are so many people who I think are a waste of skin and he’s up there. I should wear him.

‘Go on, donate yourself Kanye. People can wear your fur.’

Taylor Lautner had his chance to prove to Hollywood that he can play more than just a boy-turned-werewolf during his turn as host of “Saturday Night Live.”

The 17-year-old actor kicked off his hosting duties on last night’s episode by fueling the gossip mill that he is dating country cutie Taylor Swift.

“There’s a lot of rumors out there about me being romantically linked to a certain country singer … Reba and I are just friends,” Lautner joked as the camera panned to cast member Kenan Thompson dressed as singer Reba McEntire. “I’ve also become close with a singer named Taylor Swift.”

Lautner addressed the year’s most controversial feud involving his current rumored girlfriend and Kanye West at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.

“I was actually at the VMA’s the night [Taylor] won the award for best video and Kanye West interrupted her speech,” he said. “I was actually up on stage with her when that happened and as you can see I really stood up for her.”

A clip of the infamous VMA incident played, showing the “New Moon” actor cautiously standing at a distance from the showdown.

“I guess I could have done a lot more,” he said, before shedding his leather jacket to demonstrate what he really wanted to do during the uncomfortable moment.

Two mannequins dressed as Kanye West and Taylor Swift were brought on stage as Lautner displayed some of the agility he brandished in “New Moon” – thanks to his many years of karate training – by launching into a series of back flips, kicks and punches.

“You messed with the wrong Taylors,” the actor said before knocking off faux-Kanye’s head.

But before breaking the hearts of his many female admirers by planting a kiss on the Taylor Swift mannequin, Lautner stopped himself.

“I’m sorry, I can’t. My heart belongs to someone else,” he said while looking as Thompson dressed in drag.

“Hey Reba,” Lautner flirtatiously said before blowing a kiss and winking at Thompson, an exact move Swift jokingly addressed to Lautner during her own “SNL” monologue last month.

While Tiger Woods continued to be the butt of many jokes during the comedy sketch show, Lautner showed off his comedic chops in several skits in which he played a heckled foreign student in a high school choir and a female Twi-hard fan on Team Edward.

Taylor Swift helped revive “Saturday Night Live’s” lackluster season with a new episode in which she played host and musical guest.

The country cutie got down right to business and addressed the tabloid buzz surrounding her personal life during the show’s opening monologue.

With a guitar in hand, Swift sang “Monologue Song (La La La), a melody with lyrics that poked fun of her VMA nemesis Kanye West.

“You might be expecting me to say something bad about Kanye and how he ran up on the stage and ruined my VMA monologue,” Swift sang. “But there’s nothing more to say, ’cause everything’s okay. I’ve got security lining the stage.”

The 19-year-old songstress also mentioned her bitter split with ex Joe Jonas, who she famously sang about in her hit single, “Forever and Always.”

“You might think I’d bring up Joe Jonas, that guy who broke up with me on the phone, but I’m not gonna mention him in my monologue,” she sang. “Hey Joe, I’m doing real well. Tonight, I’m hosting SNL but I’m not gonna brag about that in my monologue. La la la. Ha ha ha.”

Raising more suspicion about her current dating life, Swift hinted about her rumored boyfriend, “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner.

“And if you’re wondering if I might be dating the werewolf from ‘Twilight,’” she sang, before mouthing “Hi Taylor” and blowing a kiss and winking at the camera. “I’m not gonna comment on that in my monologue.”

During the rest of last night’s episode, Swift had the comedic timing needed to be a great “SNL” host and proved she’s more than just a one-trick pony.

The singer drew laughs during various skits such as a parody of “The View” in which Swift donned a Kate Gosselin wig to imitate the reality TV mom, a public-service commercial about texting while driving and a “Twilight” spoof about a Frankenstein-monster family.

Kanye West and his road manager were ordered to complete 50 hours of community service for a scuffle with photographers last year, a judge has ruled.

Criminal charges against the two men were dropped yesterday after the judge said they were too harsh and it was revealed that he musician voluntarily received anger management counselling after the incident last year.

The 32-year-old rapper and his manager, Don Crawley, had a scuffle with two photographers at Los Angeles International Airport on 11 September 2008.

The struggle was recorded and broadcast by celebrity website TMZ.

During the court hearing, it was revealed that t, and had completed 12 one-hour sessions.

Ms Berk said that a civil settlement had been reached with the photographers last month, who wrote letters to the court saying they were satisfied with payment they received.

West pleaded not guilty on May 18 to misdemeanor vandalism, battery and grand theft.

His road manager, Don Crawley, 33, who was charged with two counts of the same crimes, also had pleaded not guilty.

Although the rapper was not in court yesterday, Ms Berk successfully convinced the judge that criminal charges were too harsh.

She said the case was ‘wildly overcharged’ and that it should be dismissed in the interests of justice, fairness and common sense.
She indicated that the musician would instead perform volunteer hours with the American Red Cross.

The pair were arrested while attempting to catch a flight to Honolulu. Video of the incident showed both men wrestling a camera away from a photographer and smashing parts of it into the ground.

Crawley also allegedly smashed a second photographer’s camera.

One of the photographers was allegedly hurt in the incident.

Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Mark Zuckman ordered both men to perform 50 hours of community service.

He said he was taking into account the steps West and Crawley had already taken, their agreement with the photographers, and that there were no lasting injuries to the men. He also noted that neither man had a criminal history.

The altercation was another example of West’s notoriously testy temper, but also the first time his actions had turned physical rather than verbal.

He verbally assailed President George W. Bush over the government’s response to Hurricane Katrina, and lashed out at awards shows when he didn’t win.

Since the airport scuffle, West has been publicly derided for seizing the stage from Taylor Swift during this year’s MTV Video Music Awards after she became the first country star to win for best female music video.

He has repeatedly apologized for the incident and told talk show host Jay Leno that he was taking time off from music to reflect on his behavior.
