The ‘Nine’ actress – who split from US baseball player Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez in December – has seemingly mended her broken heart and has been bragging to friends she is already dating a new man, believed to be a photographer.

While enjoying breakfast with pals at the weekend in A Votre Sante in Brentwood, California, the 30-year-old actress reportedly showed off pictures of her latest beau on her mobile phone and told them: “He’s a photographer!”

The blonde beauty continued to play with her Blackberry throughout the meal, giggled profusely and looked “giddy” with excitement.

A fellow diner told E! online: “At one point, they burst out laughing and one said ‘Oh my God!’

“Kate had a flirtatious smile on her face and looked really giddy.”

As well as discussing her new lover, Kate and her two friends were also thought to be talking about her ex-boyfriend Alex.

She said: “It’s too late.”

A friend responded: “Don’t be nice about it. It’s too late to apologise.”

The 34-year-old sportsman is thought to have dumped Kate in December after seven months together, because she was too much of an attention seeker.

Starlet Kate Hudson dumped Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez after eight months because his heart still belongs to Madonna, OK! Magazine reported.

Hudson warned A-Rod that if he continued talking to the Material Girl she would leave. She kept her promise when A-Rod kept calling and texting the singer.

“Kate was mad with jealousy,” said a source. “She gave A-Rod three chances to stop contacting Madonna. How would you feel if your new boyfriend kept calling his ex?”

The source said it broke Hudson’s heart but she didn’t want to be “the other woman.” “She said that if Madonna is what A-Rod wants then she can have him.”

Kate Hudson is looking forward to going home for the holidays – because she loves watching her relatives bicker on Christmas Day.

The Almost Famous actress will take her young son Ryder back to the Colorado town where she grew up – but admits the celebrations are often far from festive when her family begins feuding.

She says, “We go to Colorado every year where we grew up and just hang out. It’s a great time because it’s the one time when we all really get together. I can’t wait to see who gets in the first argument, that’s always a good one. There’s always going to be one argument. There’s always going to be the one that everybody’s worried about in the family – always! There’s always somebody saying, ‘I’m really concerned about your brother or I’m really concerned about Aunt so-and-so!’”

Riding high on the raves for her performance in “Nine” and her iTunes hit, “Cinema Italiano,” Kate has headed to the family chalet in Aspen to ski. “Kate is better off without A-Rod,” hisses one pal. “She had much better chemistry with Owen Wilson.

Alex is such a diva. When he came to the London premiere of ‘Nine,’ it was obvious he didn’t like standing in the background. He’d show up late to every appearance.” A friend of A-Rod’s says, “He just went through a crazy divorce. He wasn’t ready for a serious relationship. Friends would ask him, ‘Do you love, Kate?’ He’d say, ‘She’s a good person.’ Alex is a romantic. He’s a love-at-first-sight guy. I think she was more into the idea of them together. She dug going to the ballpark and being the center of attention for 50,000 people. It helped her more than him.”

Kate Hudson, upset by her breakup with Alex Rodriguez, found a sympathetic ear at the local premiere of “Nine.”

At Tuesday’s after-party at M2 in Chelsea, Hudson was seen chatting quietly with Madonna, who dated the Yankee slugger last year. “When the cameras were on Kate she was all smiles. But privately you could tell she has had her heart broken,” a witness said.

Humiliated Hudson, who was reportedly dumped by A-Rod because he felt she was hogging the spotlight, also flew in her mom, Goldie Hawn, to support her. Mother and daughter drank dirty martinis at M2 “and hung out all night,” a spy said. “It was her big premiere, and she was upset Alex wasn’t there to support her.”

Hudson’s friends Tobey Maguire and Jennifer Meyer tried to be supportive, but couldn’t make it through the aggressive crowd to congratulate her. The couple gave up and slipped out the back entrance into their waiting SUV.

While Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” became a Yankees anthem during the World Series victory, it was hardly music to Hudson’s ears. “When the song was played at the after-party, Kate looked at her mom and did a fake scream,” our source says.

Still, there’s hope for the relationship. A pal of Hudson told us they’re trying to make up. The source said, “They had a huge fight in London at the premiere of ‘Nine,’ and Alex flew to Miami to hang out with his friends. But in the last few days he and Kate have started speaking again on the phone. She hopes they can work things out. But they are both very stubborn.”

Also making appearances at the party were stars Penelope Cruz and boyfriend Javier Bardem, Harvey Weinstein, Daniel Day-Lewis, and Fergie, who showed up with husband Josh Duhamel, despite an Atlanta stripper’s recent claims that she had a one-night stand with the actor. “They looked very affectionate all night,” says our spy.

Camera shy an actress is not.

In light of Alex Rodriguez and Kate Hudson’s recent split, a friend of the former couple has revealed to Us Magazine that the actress’ desire to always be on camera directly lead to their split.

“[Hudson] wanted more camera time each and every game,” the pal says. “She would always want to be styled before games and she’d insist on front-row seats.”

Despite reports that A-Rod’s jealousy ended the six-month courtship, it seems that Hudson’s mugging for the cameras, specifically at Yankee games, annoyed the 34-year-old third baseman, leading to the demise of their relationship.

“It was a turnoff to have a girlfriend who always wanted to be on camera,” the friend says. “Alex wanted someone who was more interested in building a long-term relationship than just building their profile.”

According to the source, A-Rod broke up with the 30-year-old actress “over a week ago,” but the couple continued to be seen together in public so as not to steal attention from Hudson’s promotional work for her new movie “Nine.”

Rodriguez, who ended a 13-year relationship with his ex-wife in 2008, was reportedly put off by Hudson giving him “an ultimatum” to “fast track” the relationship.

“He has two lovely children with his ex-wife, and that requires a certain amount of responsibility,” the friend said. “She gave him ultimatums that a newly divorced father can’t meet.”

Despite their differences, the exes are said to have ended things amicably.

“She did take the relationship seriously, and he has a lot of respect for her,” the source added. “They had some really wonderful times together.”

Now that A-Rod is a free man, the baseball slugger was quick to get acquainted with a new leggy blond while in Miami over the weekend.

There’s trouble in paradise for Kate Hudson and Alex Rodriguez – so A-Rod headed to Miami to create his own weekend bliss.

The slugger had quite a getaway without Hudson: Spies tell us he was spotted with the same leggy blond, first at an Armani Exchange “Cool Shades of Style” dinner on Saturday at the Delano Hotel, and later at Miami hot spot LIV.

“She and Alex were introduced at the dinner, but it looked like they got pretty friendly pretty fast,” a partygoer dished, saying they were talking and laughing a lot, with the Yankee acting very much a single man.

“They definitely left the dinner separately, but showed up at LIV together a few hours later,” the spy says.

They weren’t exactly alone. The Bronx Bomber’s crew included his ex Madonna’s good friend Ingrid Casares, who also chatted up Alex’s lady-of-the-moment throughout the evening.

“Ingrid and the blond were definitely friends,” the snitch dished, saying Casares and Rodriguez seemed like old pals.

Meanwhile, Kate was in New York City promoting her upcoming flick, “Nine,” (we saw her brunching at Prime Meats in Brooklyn with pals on Saturday, and later in the day leaving her SoHo apartment with son Ryder).

Most recently, Hudson dodged questions about their relationship during a “Late Show” visit, bashfully admitting to David Letterman: “Yeah, he’s a friend of mine. Nice guy.”

A source close to the couple admits that while, yes, Alex is a pretty nice guy, no one is surprised by the news.

“Alex has a wandering eye, and Kate is a hopeless romantic. It’s not exactly the perfect match,” the snitch dished.

While several outlets have reported the pair have broken up, our source says it’s too early to say that they’re Splitsville.

“This isn’t the first time Alex has acted single while he’s out, and it certainly won’t be the last,” the insider says. “I wouldn’t be surprised if Kate forgave him.”
