Monday night, the two had an early dinner at the Spotted Pig and engaged in a public kissing session between courses.
“They were making out, rubbing each other’s hands,” said a fellow diner. “She was giggling and they both seemed pretty happy.”
Even the waiters were craning their necks to get a glimpse.
Other sources said Hudson wants to move on to end speculation that she was suffering over her split with A-Rod, who quickly took up with Cameron Diaz. Her rep didn’t get back to us.

Spin doctors for two of Hollywood’s reigning beauties ducked for cover yesterday over a report that they’re bitterly feuding over their sequential flings with Yankee slugger Alex Rodriguez.
Top Tinseltown publicist Brad Cafarelli, who represents both Kate Hudson and Cameron Diaz, didn’t respond to our numerous phone and e-mail messages yesterday about a report in the new issue of Us Weekly.
The magazine claims that the rivalry between the actresses reached an all-time, tense high, after A-Rod, 34, recently hooked up with Diaz. 37.
“Kate hates Cameron,” an insider tells the magazine. “She’s pissed Cameron is dating A-Rod.”
Kate Hudson is the new face of cosmetics brand Almay this fall, following in the footsteps of celebrity faces Leslie Bibb and Elaine Irwin Mellencamp.
Hudson, who will appear in TV and print ads for the label beginning in August, will celebrate her contract tonight at the Rainforest Fund benefit concert at Carnegie Hall. Sting, Elton John, Mary J. Blige, Debbie Harry and Dame Shirley Bassey are among those expected to perform.

Us Weekly reports she had breast augmentation last month.
The magazine also includes side-by-side photos of a flat-chested Hudson in January and another looking “noticeably fuller” poolside in Miami last week.
Hudson, 31, had previously celebrated her less than ample bosom. “I have small breasts, obviously,” she said at the 2002 Golden Globes. “It’s nice to be able to wear a plunging neckline and have it be elegant.”
Hudson’s rep didn’t get back to Us Weekly.
The blond bombshell has been dating not one, not two, but three men, since her very public split from the Yankee.
The lucky gents?
The first is photographer and cameraman Darren Ankenman, who met Hudson when he worked on her 2009 flick, “Bride Wars.”
“They hit it off on the set, but nothing romantic happened until after she and Alex broke up during the winter,” says an insider.
Ironically, Ankenman also shot a live 2006 concert video for the Black Crowes, who are led by Hudson’s ex-husband, Chris Robinson. Most recently, the camera guy focused his lens on Kate for a fairly steamy photo shoot. The pictures — featuring the actress in a variety of sexy ensembles such as an oversize T-shirt (and nothing else) — are displayed on his Web site.
The next object of the “Nine” starlet’s affection is a big-time hedge fund manager based in L.A., according to our snitch — but he has fierce competition. The source says Kate is also dating Australian golfer Adam Scott, whom she first encountered last year. The two were spotted on a romantic Hawaiian vacation in January 2009.
“She was casually seeing both Alex and Adam at the same time, but she broke things off with Adam when she got serious with A-Rod,” says the insider. “She recently got back in touch with Adam when he was in L.A., and they’ve been seeing each other. They’ve always gotten along really well.”
While the snitch assures us that Hudson is having a blast with her merry men, not everyone is as happy.
A friend of Robinson says he’s not thrilled with her gallivanting.
“Chris is concerned about [their son] Ryder and the effect all this dating will have on him,” the insider says. “But he knows there’s not much he can do about it. Kate is who she is — and she enjoys the company of a man.”
