She may not have won an award at the GQ Men of the Year Awards, but Kate Moss managed to be the centre of attention at the star-studded bash last night.

After arriving late and hurrying in the side door instead of making a red carpet entrance, she presented Lily with the coveted Woman of the Year trophy.

But the night ended on a sour note after the model stormed out of the event swearing, saying she was never coming to ‘one of these f****** award ceremonies again’.

An irate Moss, 35, left an embarrassed Lily, 24, to face the music, who was being interviewed by the media when her friend skulked past heading towards the exit.

The Croydon model was then bundled into a taxi, propped up by rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince, unable to hide her spotty skin, which was showing the strain of what had been a long day for the notorious hard-partying model.

She was spotted earlier in the day having lunch at Claridge’s in Mayfair, so the 35-year-old had certainly had plenty of time to get the celebrations underway.

It paved the way for what turned out to be an embarrassing night, which saw her launch herself into an impromptu pole-dance at the back of the Royal Opera House.

As she wrapped her slender figure around a column at the venue, she danced to the music and slipped off her black satin jacket, which caught on her wrist and dragged on the floor.

While doing her routine her dress rode up and she narrowly avoided flashing her underwear.

When she joined Lily in the winner’s room to celebrate the singer picking up the Woman of the Year trophy, she looked like she would rather be elsewhere.

Clearly having sat though 20 winners collecting their awards and making their acceptance speeches had proved rather tiresome for the mother-of-one.

Earlier she admitted ‘being terrible at these things’ before presenting Lily with her award on stage.

As Lily smiled for photographers clutching her trophy, Kate leaned on the backdrop and let her head roll back.

Lily’s composed display came in stark contrast to last year’s GQ Awards when the star had a drunken on-stage row with Elton John as the pair hosted the ceremony.

She told him to ‘f*** off’ after he commented that she had been drinking a lot, before he quipped back that he could ‘snort’ her ‘under the table’.

Last night was a different affair, however, and Lily, dressed in a black sheer dress, left the bad behaviour to Kate.

Never one to want to miss a party, Lily Allen has joined her friend Kate Moss on her sunshine holiday in France.

The singer, wearing sunglasses, a blue strapless bikini top and white shorts, looked as trim as supermodel Kate, 35, as they strolled along the beach.

Her new physique could be down to taking her friend’s advice on dieting.

According to Closer magazine, Lily recently turned to Kate for help on keeping the weight off.

‘Kate’s been telling her to try the “rock chick” diet – coffee, cigarettes, vodka and champagne, which are relatively low in calories,’ a friend of the star revealed.

The friends looked relaxed and happy as they headed towards a luxury yacht with Kate’s daughter, Lila Grace, aged six, at times walking between them holding each of their hands.

After spending time aboard the yacht, the pair took a dingy ride along the coastline of the French Riviera.

Kate has been holidaying in St Tropez all week along with a group of friends including Yves Saint Laurent designer Stefano Pilati and boyfriend Jamie Hince, guitarist for The Kills.

The model hasn’t been shy about stripping off to sunbathe topless and didn’t wear a bikini top or bra under a shirt with denim shorts she wore during her day with Lily, 24, causing her to flash frequently.

Later, they were seen heading to nightspot Club 55.

The break has come during Lily’s European tour that will see her perform in Hungary, Norway and Finland next week before returning to the UK for the V Festival.
