Katie Holmes isn’t always the best bed partner for husband Tom Cruise – because she insists on wearing a facemask between the sheets.
The actress admits her beauty comes with a price – and her husband suffers more than most men.
Appearing on Friday’s Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Batman Begins star revealed, “Sk2 does these masks that are in a little package. It’s white and you stick it on and then it kind of goes into your skin the whole night to the point where in the morning it’s kind of dry and yucky and you just pull that part off and you’re hydrated.
“I said (to Tom) I apologize but it’s for the cause and I wanna look good in the morning, so this is the program I’m doing right now.”
And her recent attempts to moisturize her legs overnight were a disaster.
She explains, “I was conducting an experiment with myself. I’d noticed that my legs were very dry so I decided to dry brush and then put a lot of body oil on… I put too much on and I was like, ‘Oh, this looks weird, like, I look like I’m in a calendar.’
“My husband comes in and says… ‘What’s with the oil…?’ I was like, ‘It’s kind of supposed to be hot, right?’ But he goes, ‘Aren’t the sheets gonna get all oily?’
“Lotion is better… It (oil) did get all over the sheets and then I was sticky and uncomfortable.”

Katie Holmes is making an aggressive push to retailers for her Holmes & Yang clothing line, which she launched in 2009 with her stylist, Jeanne Yang.
On Tuesday, the two kicked off a series of trunk shows for their spring and fall lines at Barneys, which has carried their collection for two seasons. It remained a mystery as to whether Holmes’ daughter, Suri, contributes in any way to the line, as reporters were told by handlers that questions about the cute youngster were forbidden.
The fashionable Holmes is also the face of the spring Ann Taylor ad campaign.

The actress was appalled by the magazine’s cover story, which featured the headline ‘Addiction Nightmare – Katie Drug Shocker! – The Real Reason She Can’t Leave Tom’.
The article does not allege any drug use by Holmes, but she still feels the suggestive cover is clearly defamatory, and she has instructed her lawyers to act.
A representative for the Batman Begins star tells Tmz.com, “Star Magazine’s malicious claims about Katie are untrue, unethical and unlawful.
“Not only do they cruelly defame Katie, they play a cheap trick on the public, making ridiculously false claims on the cover unsupported by anything inside.”

Producers of “The Kennedys” had gone to Showtime after the History network, which had ordered it, said last week it would not air the series. The real-life Kennedy family and associates were said to be unhappy about the series, which stars Greg Kinnear and Katie Holmes.
Producers contacted Showtime because the pay cable network picked up a TV movie on the Reagans eight years ago after CBS declined to air it.
The network said in a statement that while “`The Kennedys’ is well acted, well produced and a quality miniseries, it doesn’t fit the Showtime brand.”
