The 25-year-old actor – who is best known for portraying Emmett Cullen in the ‘Twilight Saga’ – had to field an angry call from his concerned parent after he was pictured lighting up a cigarette.

She allegedly told the hunk: “You’re a role model for young people. You can’t be smoking those filthy things!”

According to National Enquirer magazine, his concerned mother was then said to ship a package over to Canada – where the actor is currently filming ‘Immortals’ – full of nicotine patches and gum in the hope of helping him get over his cravings for cigarettes.

However, despite a warning note on the package reading, ‘DO THE RIGHT THING!’, Kellan’s fellow cast members have reportedly seen him sneaking in the odd cigarette break on set.

The actor – who appeared in the 2010 Calvin Klein X advertising campaign earlier this year – has previously expressed concern about what his mother thinks of his public image.

Speaking about the raunchy promotional pictures, he said: “My nude a** is going to be all over billboards, we’ll see what my mother thinks.”

Twilight: Eclipse star Kellan Lutz bares it all in the July/August issue of Men’s Health (on newsstands June 29th).

On his abs epiphany:

“Before then, I never knew abs were attractive”

“Where I grew up in Arizona, you would never see anyone without a shirt on at school. But when I took off my shirt, all the girls were, like, ‘Oh, look at your abs!’ And I was, like, ‘Yeah!’ ”

On being one of eight children raised by a divorced mother:

“With a big family and not a lot of money, we ate whatever we got.”

On being able to eat ten tacos from Taco Bell:

“By the time I got to the eighth one, I’d feel so sick.”

On dealing with stress:

“I’m not usually a down person, so when something like that happens, I go to the gym and run it off—work out, make my blood pump.”

On working with a trainer:

“It’s great to have someone to push you and hold you accountable”

On balancing his workout:

“You can’t just build a huge chest and arms. You need to work out your body evenly,”

“Otherwise, A, you’ll look weird, and B, it’s not the best for your body.”

On eliminating hunger:

“Even if it’s pizza, I’ll eat with a fork and knife to slow down”

The “Twilight” actors who play the vampire Cullen kids have rejected Summit Entertainment’s offer to return for a fourth and fifth movie, thus holding up the studio’s plan to send teenage girls into fits of euphoria by announcing that “Breaking Dawn” will be split into two installments.

Kellan Lutz and Ashley Greene are each asking for about $4 million both movies, sources close to the dealmaking said. The negotiations are just kicking into high gear, so the numbers could change.

What are the secondary characters in a blockbuster franchise worth? That’s always a tricky question, and especially here, where fans have such a close connection to the material and have come to associate the actors with their parts. On the other hand, “Eclipse” probably won’t suffer at the box office in June despite Victoria (Rachelle Lefevre) being recast after playing hardball.

A couple of interesting wrinkles in the negotiation: While lead actors Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner all re-did their deals for huge raises after the first “Twilight” hit big (and are said to be close to deals for No. 4 and 5), Summit did not offer to renegotiate with the Cullens. So their pay for the first three movies has been very low, which would explain why they want to cash in on “Breaking Dawn.”

Also, while the Cullen kids don’t play a huge role in the second or third books, they’re both in “Breaking Dawn” a lot more. That fact is said to be fueling the demands, though Summit won’t lock the script for the final movies until it’s a 100% done deal that there will be two. So parts could still be minimized or beefed up.

Neither side expects a speedy resolution. Summit wants to move quickly but isn’t afraid to recast. Reps for the actors want to make a deal, but don’t understand why the studio won’t take care of the cast in a franchise that has generated more than $1 billion.

Striking curious poses in black and white with their fake vampire teeth in place, the boys of Twilight flaunted their tweenaged hotness. In case you hadn’t noticed, I’ve drunk the Kool-Aid and am totally on board with this whole teenage vampire phenomenon so come along and get giddy with me, won’t you?

Clockwise from top to left are Jackson Rathbone, Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, Robert Pattinson and Cam Gigandet. It’s a shame that Cam has to sport that awkward blonde pontyail in the movie because he looks infinitely better without it.

Musically-inclined Pattinson looks like a Gap ad in his portrait here in a grey t-shirt and unbuttoned blue shirt. The initial response of Twilight fans has been overwhelming, indicating that producers of the movies will get back every penny of the $37 million it took to make the first in what I’m sure will be a long-running franchise.
