Kendra Wilkinson recently chatted with Parade.com about her Dancing With the Stars exit and how her experience on the show made her appreciate her role as a mom even more.

Here are some highlights:

She’s back to her favorite role — wife and mom…
“I had the most amazing time, but after seven weeks of being on Dancing With the Stars, it actually made me think about real life. I know what true love is now — and that’s of course my son and my husband. Every now and then it’s cool to get dressed up and glamorous, but at the end of the day, I love what’s real and what’s real is family. That’s what makes me happy. That’s who I am. I’m so happy that I get to be a mom again!”

Her secret to balancing motherhood with her busy career.
“My number one piece of advice to all moms is to just breathe. Take time for yourself, even if it’s just going to the bathroom and taking a couple breathers! Take at least five minutes out of the day for yourself, you need it, you deserve it. And of course, always keep your kids in your heart and your day will just become so much better.”

DWTS got her post-baby body back in shape…
“Dancing With the Stars has really put my body back into shape. My body is so great now. The different dances did different things, like the Latin dances would shape my thighs and my calves and my butt because of all the twisting. And it would make you sweat, that’s the real calorie burner right there. But the Viennese waltz and the tango, it’s all in the legs, you’re doing a full squat for two minutes. It’s more intense than anybody would think. My body’s back into shape and I’m so happy.”

The ex-Playboy who gave birth to her first son, Hank Baskett IV, in December 2009 is planning her second child and has already been “practicing” getting pregnant again with her husband.

She told the E! news network: “We’re practicing for Number two. Why not? Just one more would be great. And I wouldn’t mind having Number two soon!

“We have so much love to give. We’re just loving baby Hank so much. We’re raising him well, teaching him everything he needs to be taught.

“But yeah, I really feel like it’s naturally time for another one soon. I really do.”

Kendra was voted off TV show ‘Dancing With The Stars’ last night and is secretly glad to have finished dancing as it means the pressure is off her and she can enjoy a host of calorific treats at a barbecue she and Hank are planning to celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday.

She added: “I’m done with ‘Dancing With the Stars’ so it’s time to eat. It’s time to barbeque. You know, have some fun and relax a little bit. It’s time to enjoy the outdoors.”

KENDRA WILKINSON makes an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” airing Monday, March 21st. She chats about making “Dancing with the Stars” a family affair and about Hugh Hefner’s engagement.

On DWST…
Ellen: You started out at the Playboy Mansion and now you have a child and are married. How is your life now compared to what it was, now with a child?
Kendra: It’s completely different. So different. I feel like those days, when I lived in the Mansion, I feel like that blends in with my high school days. That’s how far ago it was. Now, I’m in a completely different part of my life. I feel so grown up. I feel so mature. I feel that I’m where I need to be in my life…After learning how to dance, I come home and teach my husband all my moves and how to dance and my son is watching so he’s picking up the moves. It’s a family affair now. It’s a family thing.

On Hugh Hefner’s engagement…
Ellen: Now, Hugh is engaged now, right?
Kendra: Yeah.
Ellen: Have you talked to him since?
Kendra: Actually I have. I had a sit down day with him without cameras, without media. I had a chance to get a really good talk in with him. He really seems happy. You have to be happy for someone that’s happy like that. I’m happy for him. If that’s what he wants to do, if that’s where he wants to be in life, I’m there for him. I’m one of his best friends.

Kendra Wilkinson’s marriage is constantly battered by speculation she and her husband Hank Baskett are about to divorce.

But the reality TV star says she and husband Hank Baskett are in fact planning a second child.

‘Yes. There’s definitely another baby on the way,’ she said.

‘We are not going to say right now that we want a baby next week or next month.’

But Kendra added that they may well decide to speed things up.

‘We make decisions sometimes overnight,’ she told OK! magazine.

‘You never know with us. We change our minds all the time. It could be like, “Okay, let’s have a baby tomorrow.”‘

She said the couple want to give their one-year-old son, Hank Baskett IV, a brother or sister. ‘Baby Hank definitely needs a sibling.’

But the 25-year-old does admit that 2010 was a ‘nightmare’.

Kendra began the year by bursting into tears in front of photographers, after her husband lost the 2010 Super Bowl with his team the Indianapolis Colts.

What followed was a multitude of rumors about her so-called ‘impending divorce’.

At the time, Kendra was suffering from post-partum depression and was forced to spend long periods of time apart from her husband who was on the road with his football team.

’2010 was a nightmare. We had so much going on – the reality show, Hank was in the Super Bowl,’ she told the magazine.

Kendra said that the divorce rumors were completely unfounded.

‘We weren’t fighting at all. We were helping each other. We are a team.

‘Life just wasn’t going right for us at the time, but we always saw the light at the end of the tunnel,’ she said.

She insisted that she is in her marriage for the long run.

‘We want to be together forever. We are not looking at five or 10 years. WE are setting life goals.’
