Former Playboy Playmate Kendra Wilkinson has dismissed suggestions she suffered postpartum depression following the birth of her son – insisting she has never been officially diagnosed with the disorder.

The reality TV star welcomed baby Hank Baskett IV, named after his football star father, in December at a hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The 24 year old recently admitted she struggled to adjust to motherhood as she was pulled into a downward spiral of post-pregnancy sadness.

She told OK! magazine, “After giving birth, I never brushed my hair, my teeth, or took a shower. I looked in the mirror one day and was really depressed. I thought, ‘Look at me.’ I had this glamorous life in L.A., and now (in Indianapolis) I didn’t. A couple of times, I even said, ‘I just have nothing to live for.’”

But Wilkinson has played down her remarks – insisting she didn’t suffer the baby blues, she was simply a new mum with worries.

She tells Eonline.com, “I’m not going to sit here and say that I had postpartum depression. I was depressed but it wasn’t diagnosed as postpartum depression. But it was depression. I know because I’ve been through therapy my whole life.”

The former Playboy model struggled to adjust to her new life after giving birth to first son Hank Randall Baskett IV in December and didn’t have the motivation to do anything.

She said: “I never brushed my hair, my teeth or took a shower. I looked in the mirror one day and was totally depressed … A couple of times, I even said, ‘I just have nothing to live for.’ ”

Kendra believes moving from California to Indianapolis so her American footballer husband Hank Baskettcould be nearer his team played a big part in her state of mind.

She added to America’s OK! magazine: “It was new to me – the snow and the cold. I love running and hiking. I had a hard time being trapped inside. I’d look outside and think how much I wished I could go to the beach again.”

Despite initially finding the rigours of motherhood tougher than she expected, Kendra is now happier than ever and recently spoke about her strong bond with the tot.

She said: “It’s crazy. My attitude has changed so much. I’m nicer. I’ve got a lot of new responsibilities. I sort of take on my baby’s personality. When he’s happy I’m happy.”

Kendra Wilkinson took to her blog today to post a photo of an adorable sleeping baby Hank dressed head to toe in Nike.

Kendra wrote, “OMG he’s just so cute while he sleeps I couldn’t help myself!!! All I want to do is sit around and look at him all day long lolol. Love my lil jock ”

How she stays fit on the road…
“Ever hear of P90X? My brother and his wife are both in the Air Force; they do marathons and triathlons. I went [to visit them and she’s doing P90X]. I couldn’t keep up with her—and she’d just had her first baby four weeks ago. I was like, This is bullshit! I will perfect this thing! So usually, I wake up and do an hour of cardio, then an hour of P90X or yoga, then a half-hour of warm-up [during show rehearsal]. I do that six days a week.”

Her day off…
“I try to make it a show day so I’m still getting cardio. I have to be able to run up those stairs as many times as I do and be able to sing at the same time. I’m an asthmatic. I have to be on that treadmill singing to get my lungs right.”

Why she likes working out…
“I like results. I like feeling strong. It keeps my mental floor higher.”

Does she have a trainer?
“No. I don’t work well with trainers. [Air quotes] “Does not work well with others.”

She knows she’s a 10, right?
“No, no, no! I feel like a seven and a half! I’m not going to lie and tell you when I look in the mirror there’s nothing I don’t want to fix. If they figure out how to stretch me and make me a little bit taller, then maybe I’ll get upwards of eight.”

Playboy babe Kendra Wilkinson has welcomed a babe of her own into the world, and in typical reality star fashion, a camera crew was there to capture the moment.

Hank Baskett IV was born via c-section Friday morning in Indianapolis and weighed 9 lbs 5 oz, Usmagazine.com reports.

“Mother and baby are doing well,” a source told the magazine. “Kendra and Hank are very happy.”

This is the former Playboy bunny’s first child with her husband, Indianapolis Colts player Hank Baskett.

According to Wilkinson, E! filmed the birth, though the footage will allegedly be G-rated.

“They’ll get the moment of me holding the baby, but not coming out,” she told Us Weekly. “No way. Uh-uh. Nooo!”

Wilkinson, 24, wed Baskett, 27, at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy mansion in a much-publicized ceremony in July. The duo recently moved from New Jersey to Carmel, Indianapolis, when Baskett got signed by the Colts.

A month prior to their nuptials, the duo, who star on the E! reality show “Kendra,” announced they were expecting.

Though the bubbly Wilkinson was excited by the pregnancy (and the McDonald’s cheeseburgers and baked goods in which she indulged), she revealed to Us Weekly that it was not planned.

“We always hinted to each other that we wouldn’t mind having kids soon,” she said. “We weren’t trying, but we didn’t use a condom that night.”

The good natured Wilkinson was candid about her difficult pregnancy, saying that she was highly emotional and cried “over everything.” The highly active reality star also lamented being unable to do much physical activity because of the back pain she suffered.

The former “Girls Next Door” star also revealed that she gained “50-something pounds) and that her famous curves filled out even more.

“I went from a size small sports bra to a size large sports bra,” she told Us. “These things just won’t stop growing!”

Wilkinson did not keep it a secret that she was looking forward to motherhood. On Dec. 2, she tweeted:

“i cant believe im having my baby in a couple days. im sooo excited i cant stand it! hope u guys r havin a good wed.. mmmwah! ”

The new mother revealed to Us that she wants her family to know her commitment is full.

“I want to make sure that my boy knows I’m there every step of the way,” she told Us. “I will be putting 100 percent of my love and time into my child.”

“Finally, in my life, I feel needed, like my baby needs me. I’m very attached and bonded.”

In November, Wilkinson and Baskett appeared in Us Weekly, showing off their baby’s nursery. The duo bought cherry-wood furniture from Bellini and planned to add a jungle theme mural to the room.

Wilkinson also revealed that the couple plans to “pimp [the baby] out” in Nike clothes, care of Baskett’s contract with the sportswear company.

“I just can’t wait for the baby to pee in Hank’s face!” she told Us.

Even though Kendra’s due any time now, that hasn’t stopped her from doing a little manual labor to get the house ready for Christmas and baby. She just posted a photo on her website of her and husband Hank Baskett in front of their house in Carmel, IN showing off their Christmas decorating skills.

Kendra writes:

“Hank and i put our lights up for lil Hank’s first Xmas, we’re so excited he’s gonna be here before the holiday!!!! We’re gonna shower him with gifts even though he won’t even know what they are lolol.”

Kendra’s been keeping a low profile, but a present from husband Hank has gotten her excited.

Kendra just posted a photo of herself on her website in, of all things, a Snuggie.

She writes:

“Hank came back from the store yesterday and surprised me with the best present ever….A SNUGGIE!!!!!!!!!! I see the commercials all the time and I always want one…it’s so exciting that I have my own now. I think I’m just going to live in this for the next month until lil Hank is born lolol.

I can’t wait to wear my snuggie when the baby comes so we’re both warm!!! Haha”

Kendra Wilkinson just took to her blog to write about and post pictures from her and Hank’s most memorable vacation ever, which certainly was NOT a 5 star celebrity experience. The newlyweds went to Cove Haven in the Poconos and rather than spa treatments and fancy dinners, were treated to things like archery, ice skating, champagne with a plastic cork and couples sex trivia.

Kendra writes:

“Its a couples resort stuck in the 70s and it was sooooo old school…When we got to our room, the first thing we noticed was there were no windows and no clocks. It was like a cave haha…it was like we were time warped into a different decade!!! The room also had a heart shaped jacuzzi, a pool, mirrors all around the bed and a bottle of champagne with a plastic cork waiting for us. The bed was of course round and Hank barely fit on it…his legs were hanging off the edge lololol…We did every single activity the place had to offer and barely showered the entire week lol. You have to be with your best friend to go to a place like this…we were just laughing the entire time! If I could recommend any trip for a couple to take, I would definitely tell them to go here!!!”
