The couple were on a reshoot in Vancouver, Canada, for the third instalment of the vampire film series when the argument erupted after Robert arrived late on the set, with Kristen accusing him of spending time in a racy burlesque club.

An onlooker said: “Kristen asked for a reshoot because she didn’t like her wig in the scene. Robert turned up later on the set.

“When Robert arrived, he and Kristen started fighting. She accused him of taking a later flight from London because he had been hanging out too late at a burlesque bar. She accused him right in front of the director and crew.”

Robert – who today celebrates his 24th birthday – did not take the accusation well and the cast and crew had to take a break.

The onlooker added to the New York Postnewspaper: “He didn’t take it well. They were both so angry, the crew had to take a break for an hour for things to simmer down.”

A spokesperson for the film’s studio Summit Entertainment denied any row occurred, and insists Robert wasn’t even late.

The representative said: “Rob was not late on set, he arrived later because he had a different call time than other cast members. There was no row or ill feeling at all. Everything went very well.”

Kristen recently admitted she doesn’t want to talk about her relationship with Robert publicly because she it “cheapens” their feelings.

She said: “I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them. People say, ‘Just say who you’re dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it.’ It’s like, ‘No they won’t!’ They’ll ask for specifics.”

Robert Pattinson admitted after the BAFTA Awards on Sunday night he is dating his ‘Twilight’ co-star Kristen Stewart.

The actor – who stars in the hit ‘Twilight’ vampire movie franchise alongside Kristen – has previously been very guarded about his love life but admitted at the BAFTA Awards after-party on Sunday night he and Kristen are an item.

Robert, 23, insists they have only avoided going public with their relationship before now because they were worried about being hounded by obsessed fans.

Speaking at the post-BAFTAs dinner held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, he said: “It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes. We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans, it goes crazy.

“This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it’s impossible. We are here together and it’s a public event but it’s not easy. We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.”

Robert – who arrived at the ceremony at the Royal Opera House separately to Kristen – was allegedly all over her once they left the awards show.

Robert presented a gong while 19-year-old Kristen picked up the Orange Rising Star award.

The next film in the vampire series, ‘Eclipse’, is set to be released in July and will continue with the story which sees Robert star as Edward, a vampire who has fallen in love with high-school student Bella, played by Kristen.

The actress – who plays Bella Swan in the vampire franchise – says she expects the fourth novel ‘Breaking Dawn’ to be turned into a film but won’t take anything for granted until they begin shooting.

She said: “I have been told to be ready for November. I mean, it looks like a ‘yes’ but it’s still not concrete.”

Assuming the movie does get made, Kristen wants it to be split into two films, because so much happens in the final novel.

She said: “It absolutely warrants being two films. It would be hard to cram all of it into one movie.”

The first two movies – ‘Twilight’ and ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ – were huge box offices smashes and the third instalment, ‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ is expected to do the same.

However, Kristen – whose character is the love interest for Robert Pattinson’s alter-ego, Edward Cullen – admits she was shocked when they were asked back to do the second one.

She told E! Online: “We didn’t even know we were going to make a second one. We were just like, ‘It’s really cool. It’s different and we’ve never seen a love story like this.’ I thought it would just be another cool Catherine Hardwicke movie.”

Beautiful, virginal Bella Swan has morphed into a smoking, cussing 16-year-old New Orleans stripper/sex worker marked with bruises and scars named Mallory. Or Alison, actually.

Kristen Stewart, who has drawn legions of devoted followers as “Twilight’s” conflicted protagonist, flips that portrayal on its head with “Welcome to the Rileys,” the very R-rated indie drama that premiered at the Sundance Film Festival Saturday.

Stewart is raw, feral, feisty and utterly believable in ways that should remind everyone that she has chops well beyond teenaged vampire soap operas.

On Sunday, she starred in the premiere of “The Runaways,” which is slotted for a March release through Apparition, the indie banner behind “The Young Victoria.” That should seal the deal for any doubters.

Unfortunately, Stewart’s younger fans are unlikely to see “Rileys,” since it features a pot-smoking Stewart tossing off sexually explicit lines often delivered in various stages of undress — or in her dancing get-up at the Dixie Divas club, including red Xs taped across her breasts, fishnets, a g-string and five-inch heels.

All of this is couched in a melancholy story about a middle-aged Indianapolis couple played by James Gandolfini and Melissa Leo numbed by the death of their daughter who eventually become entangled with Stewart’s Alison in New Orleans in a misguided effort to “save” her.

Stewart was on-hand after the screening, hooded, arms crossed, and struggled to articulate just how she lived with the character and learned to understand what her life was like. As is often the case with Stewart’s public appearances, her intense efforts to verbalize her thoughts came off as endearing.

Regardless, the excited pre-show chatter and fawning audience members proved that Stewart’s star is unlikely to be tarnished anytime soon.

She’s currently riding high at the top of the movie charts with huge new release New Moon.

But Kristen Stewart seems to be endorsing a different kind of high with her bikini.

In the pictures, taken in July 2008, the 19-year-old actress is seen aboard a yacht in San Jose, Costa Rica with a tattooed male friend, wearing a white bikini with marijuana leaves printed across the front.

Kristen is no stranger to controversy surrounding the drug, having been pictured allegedly smoking it from a pipe in November last year.

TMZ obtained photographs of the actress sat outside her house in LA with a male friend, taking puffs from a water pipe commonly associated with smoking marijuana.

The actress is rumoured to be dating her co-star, British actor Robert Pattinson.

Just last week they were pictured holding hands as they left the Paris leg of their global press tour.

According to a People.com, the couple spent a cosy weekend in New York, after the premiere of the new movie.

The duo started their night at the ultra exclusive Soho House, where they “had a good time,” a source told the website.

It is said they then went to a club called Avenue, where they were spotted ‘making out while their bodyguards tried to block prying eyes’.

Twilight: New Moon grossed a staggering $140.7million on its opening weekend, taking $72.2million on its first day – the biggest single opening day in Hollywood history.

The movie has already taken more than any installment from the Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings or James Bond franchises ever did.
