As apart of Nike Sportswear’s original video series, “Always On,” Nike has released an exclusive video featuring LA basketball star Lamar Odom and rapper Stalley today. Stalley created original music accompanying the video, featuring Odom’s journey from his home in Los Angeles to his hometown turf in Queens, New York. Reflecting a “day in the life,” this installment portrays a homecoming for Odom from walking down Jamaica Avenue and practice at Frederick B. Judge Park. The video resonates on how deep his roots have shaped him to be “always on” by visiting various places that has helped develop his mentality and dedication to athleticism from his upbringing in NYC.

Included with this video is an original track from up-and-coming Ohio rapper Stalley called “Born To Win”, which was produced by J. Rawls. Stalley is also a basketball player whom in high school decided to pursue music instead of a career as a pro-athlete. Understanding the heart of what drives an athlete, Stalley’s track flows cohesively with Odom’s laid-back, humble style creating a reflective atmosphere. Behind the scenes footage offers us a deeper look in to the minds of Stalley and Odom and the creative process involved in both outputs.

“Always On” is a Nike Sportswear campaign highlighting the lives of a variety of athletes, coupling them with exclusive music tracks to tell the diverse stories – on and off-court in and out of the studio, in all aspects of their daily lives. The basketball player – who is married to Khloe Kardashian – was the backseat passenger in a hired vehicle with a driver in New York City last Thursday when the car struck a motorcycle which then hit the teenage pedestrian.

Although the boy was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in Queens for emergency surgery, his head injuries proved too severe and he died on Friday with the funeral taking place yesterday.

Lamar tweeted: “Thank you for your support and prayers! My thoughts and prayers are with the young boys family.”

His wife Khloe added: “My heart/soul goes out 2every1 in pain from any suffering. Pray 4 all of the angels surrounding us constantly. May our spirits stay strong.

“Above all, love each other deeply, b/c love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality 2 1another without grumbling 1 Peter 4:8-9

“Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

“Our love will give us strength! Love conquers ALL! @RealLamarOdom: My thoughts and prayers are with the young boys family…

“Good night, sweet prince, and flights of angels sing thee to thy rest!”

Lamar was leaving his cousin’s funeral in New York when the accident occurred.

The Los Angeles Lakers basketball player – who is married to reality TV star Khloe Kardashian – was not injured in the incident where his driver collided with a motorcycle, leaving the motorcyclist and a pedestrian seriously injured. They are currently being treated at Elmhurst hospital in Queens.

Khloe was not in the car at the time of the accident although she tweeted afterwards: “Angels are surrounding me always. Thank you!”

Although Lamar – who stars in reality TV show ‘Khloe and Lamar’ with his spouse – was said to be “shaken up” by the crash, he quickly returned to work, tweeting on Friday: “Shooting a Nike commercial in New York City.”

Khloe and Lamar, 31, married in 2009 after a month-long relationship and the 27-year-old socialite has previously revealed she fell in love with him after three days.

She said: “I fell in love on the third day. I’m not a mushy person – I didn’t even like him at first. I was just like, ‘Urgh, another athlete.’ But the second day I hung out with Lamar, he was so sweet. He was genuine. I love how attentive he is. He makes me feel like I’m the only person that matters. No man has ever treated me that way.”

The 26-year-old star – who is married to basketball star Lamar Odom – has been trying to conceive since soon after they tied the knot in September 2009 and is now worried she has fertility problems that are preventing her from getting pregnant naturally.

In scenes from her reality show ‘Khloe and Lamar’, she told her spouse: “I’m sorry for snapping at you and being on edge lately but I’ve been holding a lot of stuff in and trying not to bother you, but I’ve been freaking out about why I’m not pregnant.

“It’s scary [thinking], ‘Oh God, what if I physically can’t have kids.’ ”

The brunette beauty expressed her concerns after her latest round of fertility tests, but 31-year-old Lamar – who has kids Destiny, 12, and eight-year-old son Lamar Jr. from a previous relationship – was a lot calmer about the situation.

He said: “It’ll work out. If something is wrong, that doesn’t affect anything [we're] going to do [as a couple].”

Despite her comments, Khloe recently insisted she wasn’t worried about not being pregnant yet as she is content to leave her life to fate.

She said: “I’m not desperate to have a baby. Do I want children? Yes. But I’m very happy being just Lamar and I.

“I think a baby would add so much to us, but right now, I’m so content and so happy with the way things are. People think I would sell my hair to have a child.”

While Los Angeles Laker Lamar Odom chases reality TV stardom with Khloé Kardashian, the mother of his children wants publishers to know she has the write stuff.

Liza Morales, who split with Odom in 2008, tells us she’s talking to literary agents about repping a roman à clef she’s written that depicts what it’s really like to be in a relationship with a star athlete.

“It shows the lifestyle from the inside,” says Morales, who turns 32 Monday. “Since our society is obsessed with celebrity, the book gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the real reality.”

We wonder if she’s referring to her ex’s E! show, “Khloé & Lamar”?

Morales is keeping the book’s title under wraps, but she says the athlete in her novel is a professional football player, not an NBA star.

That said, a friend who read the manuscript tells us insiders will recognize Odom in the character.

“You’ll see a lot of tidbits that make you go, ‘Hmm,’”says the source. But Morales says she wrote the book with a higher purpose in mind than payback. “My intent is not to bash my ex or any pro athlete,”she says. “I want to show women that you can rise up from a certain situation.”

Morales began dating Odom in 1996, when both attended Christ the King High School in Queens. They became engaged in 2000 but never married. After they officially broke in 2008, Odom married Kardashian in 2009, barely a month after meeting her.

Morales says she “stayed too long” with Odom because she came from a “broken home” and wanted to “break the cycle” for her kids. The death of their 7-month-old son Jayden from sudden infant death syndrome in 2006 was “a real wake-up call,” she adds, because Odom essentially left her alone to deal with her grief and their surviving children, Destiny, 12, and Lamar Jr., 9.

Odom does provide financial support for his kids, but the college-educated Morales says she doesn’t want to just sit around collecting his checks. She started the RS Baby fashion line in memory of Jayden — an offshoot of Odom’s Rich Soil label — but shelved the company last year after, she says, Odom told her to change its name and “started pulling away from backing it.”

Morales could have tried reality TV when the producers of VH1′s “Basketball Wives” asked her to be on an L.A. spinoff of the popular show, but she says “it just wasn’t for me.”

She prefers to write. “I get a euphoric feel from it,”she says.

She has plenty of material, too.

A delighted Khloe – who wore a white dress and carried white roses – posted a picture of herself wearing a blindfold before the surprise was revealed and wrote on her website: “Lamar has truly made our anniversary more special than I ever could have imagined. The day has been somewhat like a treasure hunt, moving from one surprise to the next!

“I can’t believe it has ONLY been a year. My life has changed so much and I, as a person, have changed even more. I have never been happier, never been so at peace, never been so in love.
