A representative for Marc Anthony has confirmed the Latin singer has worked out a deal with U.S. authorities to pay off his multi-million dollar tax debts.

Jennifer Lopez’s Grammy-winning husband owes $3.4 million to the Internal Revenue Service, according to tax liens obtained by EOnline.com.

The sum is linked to unpaid taxes on the I Need To Know hitmaker’s Long Island, New York property.

A spokesperson reveals the star has enlisted the help of his management and financial team to reach “an agreement in principle resolving all of (his) federal tax liabilities… No further comments will be issued about this matter.”

It’s not the first time Anthony has landed in tax trouble – in 2007, he was forced to pay $2.5 million in back taxes after failing to file income returns.

Anthony was forced to cancel a Sunday night show because of a severe sore throat. Spokeswoman Blanca Lasalle says a doctor ordered him to reset his voice for 48 hours.

He’s scheduled to give a rain check performance Tuesday at the Puerto Rico Coliseum.

The New York-born salsa singer performed for a packed house Saturday night at the same venue. His wife, actress Jennifer Lopez, joined him on stage for the final number of the night, a duet of “Preciosa.”

Anthony was a last-minute addition after actor Osvaldo Rios was asked to step down as the King of The Parade because of a 2004 domestic violence conviction.

The singer had planned to make a brief appearance at the street celebration, but cleared his schedule for the day so he could lead the parade – and he brought his wife with him.

The Puerto Rican superstars sat together in an open-top car.

Lopez said, “It always makes me feel incredibly proud to be Puerto Rican… It’s an amazing day.”

Her husband added, “It’s one of those life-altering moments because it was such a big part of my life… from when I was two years old.”
