Marissa Jaret Winokur and her husband, King of the Hill writer Judah Miller, have welcomed their first child, Entertainment Tonight confirms.
Zev Isaac Miller, born via surrogate, weighed in at 8 pounds, 7 ounces.
The baby was born Tuesday.
Winokur, who survived cervical cancer seven years ago, competed on the past season of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars but was eliminated during week 10. She tracked her progress with a diary on Usmagazine.com.
“Since I have a baby on the way this summer, I won’t be able to join the tour – you can’t be on tour with a baby!” Winokur, 35, wrote in her final entry.
“So my poor son will just have to watch all those videos and I can say ‘This is what I was doing while you were cooking!’”
Of motherhood, Winokur, who won a Tony award for her role in Broadway’s Hairspray, blogged: “The baby is going to change my life, and I will be a bit more ready because I can’t really control everything that is what I have learned here. So I am looking forward to learning more.”

Marissa’s Last Dance

Once again Marissa Jaret Winokur and her partner Tony Dovolani found themselves at the bottom of the leader board after Monday’s show.
After defying the odds week after week, the Winokur wave finally came to an end last night.
“Ah, so close!” Winokur exclaimed as she and Dovolani came onto the dancefloor to say their final farewell.
“No one expected us to get this far,” Jaret Winokur told host Samantha Harris. “I didn’t expect us to get this far. Tony didn’t expect me to get this far…This has been such an incredible, incredible experience.”
Despite posting the lowest scores among the remaining dancers, Jaret Winokur and Dovolani kept moving on in the competition–even surprising viewers last week by edging out Mario & Karina for a spot in the semifinals.
And while tears were shed, Jaret Winokur’s final words were anything but sad. She told the audience and viewers at home: “I want everyone to go out and do something fun and do something that makes you feel sexy and shake what your momma gave you!”
So going into next week’s final are Kristi Yamaguchi & Mark Ballas, Jason Taylor & Edyta Sliwinska, and Cristian de la Fuente & Cheryl Burke.

Newly minted DWTS semi-finalist Marissa Jaret Winokur has been working so hard on her dance moves, she’s fallen behind on the fact that she will soon be hearing the pitter patter of tiny feet (and we’re not talking about Bruno Tonioli). The mom-to-be celebrated another week in the ballroom by ditching a day of practice to grab herself some baby swag.
“I was literally on a ‘guerilla’ mission to get baby stuff,” Marissa admitted, while playing hooky with her husband Judah Miller and dance partner Tony Dovolani at the Silver Spoon Hollywood Dog and Baby Buffet on Saturday. “I told Tony that we were leaving the dance studio for two hours, and that I was going to get things for my baby!”
Winokur, who recently spoke to PEOPLE about her battle with cervical cancer, and her decision with Miller to have a surrogate carry their first child, was every bit the expectant mother. “I’m completely freaking out!” she said, with her trademark caterwaul, adding with a laugh, “I’m so ill-prepared for this baby, I thought for sure that I’d have the nursery done, but DWTS has taken over, and I don’t even have a bassinet!”
After being guided through the rigors of ballroom dance by a pro, Winokur was out to find herself some expert mommy advice. “There are women that came up to me, and they were like, ‘We’re The Baby Planners,’ and I was like, ‘Give me your card, and please help me have this baby!’” she said. “I learned more about what I need to know about my baby from the first ten tables here then I knew before.”
