Police booked the rocker at 5am after receiving a report of a domestic incident. He was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for cuts before he was taken into custody.

His three-month marriage to Nikki Williams appeared to be over at the beginning of July when he suggested he was ready to split from his wife in a Facebook.com rant.

The Eyes of Noctum star and his wife were booked on felony domestic violence charges over the Independence Day weekend after complaints of a disturbance at their Los Angeles home.

Songwriter Williams reportedly attacked her husband and cut his arm with a bottle. Cage is alleged to have responded with force, prompting their arrest.

Cage, who posted bail hours after he was taken into custody, opened up about his tumultuous relationship in a lengthy Facebook post, in which he hinted Williams’ “rage” was the root of their problems.

He wrote, “This message goes to Family, Friends and Nikki’s loved ones especially… i also made this for Nikki to read when I bail her out of the s**t hole we got ourselves into. I Promise That I Shall Not Rest Until She Is Out. I would even lie and say that i am a murderous wretch to get her out. i would do time in her honor even though i tried to save her life from her rage. I love you all and i love you Nikki.

“I don’t know if being your husband is in the stars anymore for me. I have to think about it and really focus. I don’t contain the ability that certain men do, the ability to abuse elders, women and children. I have three witnesses and video recording of me being calm.”

Since that incident Williams has opened up about the drama, revealing she and Cage were undergoing counselling to save their marriage.

Weston’s mother-in-law tells Tmz.com that Williams is “safe and away from him”.

Weston Cage and his wife were arrested on felony domestic violence charges yesterday morning.

The 20-year-old heavy metal singer – son of Hollywood star Nicolas Cage – reportedly had an altercation with Nikki Williams, which resulted in him sustaining a cut to his arm with a bottle and her threatening to jump off a balcony.

Police arrested them both at their Los Angeles apartment and, believing Weston, 20, to also have been violent, booked them for domestic violence.

Both of the couple’s bail was set at $50,000, but so far only Weston has managed to post a bond and be released.

As he emerged from the police station Weston – who married musician Nikki on April 24 in New Orleans – showed his bleeding arm to photographers, and said: “I’m not OK, man. Don’t get married.”
Earlier on the previous night, Nikki had said marriage was “tough but wonderful” and that “communication is key”. Both of the couple have recently been released from rehab.

Weston has also recently been involved in an altercation with his fitness trainer, Kevin Villegas, which resulted in him needing eight stitches and having to undergo a psychological evaluation. Following the incident, Kevin has taken out a restraining order against him, requiring him to stay 100 yards away from him and his family.

The 20-year-old musician – Nicolas’ son with ex-girlfriend Christina Fulton – had to be taken to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles in a gurney after he tried to attack Kevin, who was trying to stop him from ordering a certain food on a menu, and a judge has now decided a restraining order should be granted.

According to TMZ.com, the judge – from an unknown court – has given the order after Kevin said he was “mentally unstable” and made “threats of violence” to him and his family during the fight.

In addition to staying 100 yards away from the trainer, Weston must also stay away from his family.
The fight reportedly started when Weston “freaked out” at the Hollywood eatery The Farmer’s Kitchen, but some onlookers claimed Kevin – his high school wrestling coach who has been hired to protect him – “provoked” him into fighting.
A source said he gave the rock musician 13 punches to the face, adding: “He deliberately provoked Weston. And he wouldn’t stop even though people were telling him to. He (Villegas) could have easily subdued Weston.”

Weston Cage – Nicolas’ son with former girlfriend Christina Fulton – was taken to a Beverly Hills medical facility by ambulance after an alleged altercation with his fitness trainer at Hollywood eatery The Framer’s Kitchen yesterday afternoon.

The 20-year-old rock musician reportedly lost his cool when the trainer told him he couldn’t order something off the menu and onlookers claim he “freaked out”.

According to TMZ.com, police arrived at the restaurant and, after threatening Weston with a taser if he didn’t obey orders, they were so worried about his behaviour they strapped him to a gurney before transporting him to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

He now may be subject to a 5150 psychiatric hold, which allows a qualified officer or clinician to involuntarily confine a person deemed to have a mental disorder that makes them a danger to himself or others.

According to other sources, Weston had an argument with his wife Nikki Williams – who he married in April – earlier in the morning, causing him to storm out of the Los Angeles house they share.

INicolas has visited Weston in hospital.

In April, Nicolas, 47, was arrested for allegedly assaulting his wife Alice Kim during a public argument, although it has since been revealed he won’t be prosecuted.

Actor Nicolas Cage was arrested after he got drunk in the city’s French Quarter and argued in the street with his wife over whether a house they were in front of was theirs, police said Saturday.

The couple was in front of a home that Cage insisted they were renting, police said. When she said it wasn’t theirs, Cage grabbed her arm, according to a police news release.

Cage started hitting vehicles and tried to get into a taxi, police said. An officer saw that Cage was drunk and told him to get out of the cab. Cage then started yelling at the officer.

The actor has been booked on charges of domestic abuse battery, disturbing the peace and public drunkenness. He was released on $11,000 bond Saturday.

Representatives for Cage could not immediately be reached Saturday.

Cage has been a frequent visitor to New Orleans, where he has owned property and shot movies. He has also had financial troubles, despite being one of the highest-paid stars in Hollywood.

He had been behind on taxes and has said he’s had to sell numerous assets because of his finances. He sued his former business manager in October 2009 for $20 million, claiming the man’s advice led him to financial ruin.

Cage won an Academy Award for his performance in 1995′s “Leaving Las Vegas.”

Actor Nicholas Cage is making gradual progress in his bid to settle a hefty tax debt – he’s managed to pay off $360,545 of the $14 million he owes to America’s Internal Revenue Service.

The extent of the National Treasure star’s money troubles hit the headlines last year when he filed suit against his former business manager, Samuel Levin, accusing the accountant of misleading him and overcharging for his services, sending him “down a path of financial ruin”.

The allegations stemmed from a series of tax liens Cage received from IRS officials, claiming he had failed to pay tax on wages from 2002 to 2004 and 2007.

Levin countersued, alleging Cage squandered his cash on lavish homes and luxury cars and was to blame for his own financial missteps. The legal dispute was settled in August.

However, Cage has finally begun making amends with the IRS and, according to documents obtained by TMZ.com, the actor had made three big repayments by November 10, 2010, totalling $360,545.

Someone tried to pick a fight with Nicolas Cage at the Rose Bar the other night as he celebrated the premiere of “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice” with producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

“It was a miscommunication with an acquaintance which was quickly resolved and did not involve a physical altercation,” said a Cage rep.

The star showed a gentler side during the Cinema Society screening at the Tribeca Grand the next night. When his son, Kal-el, 4, got spooked by the movie’s action, Cage took him home halfway through the film.

The ‘Kick-Ass’ star believes fish and chickens mate in a “dignified” manner and he will consequently eat them, where as he avoids pork because he believes pigs fornicate in an unsavoury manner.

He is quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: “I love all animals. I have a fascination with fish, birds, whales – sentient life – insects, reptiles.

“I actually choose the way I eat according to the way animals have sex. I think fish are very dignified with sex. So are birds. But pigs, not so much. So I don’t eat pig meat or things like that. I eat fish and fowl.”

Cage’s fascination with the animal kingdom led to him buying a two-headed snake to protect him when he filmed latest movie ‘Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans’.

He said: “I met the snake and said, ‘Maybe this will be my bodyguard in New Orleans.’ ”

Cage, 46, is known for his eccentricities and previously professed a willingness to tattoo his head for his role in upcoming vengance movie ‘Drive Angry’.

He said: “Originally I was going to shave my head and tattoo my scalp.

“But the producer didn’t want me to do that. So then I decided that I was gonna embrace the Celtic roots on the other side of my family. So I dyed the hair lighter because I think that’s what the character should look like.”
