CBS Radio Host Nick Cannon, from the August issue of Watch! magazine.
Highlights include:
Watch!: You’ve been doing your CBS Radio show on 92.3 FM in New York for almost two years. What do you love about radio?
Nick: Radio is the most intimate form of entertainment—it allows me to really communicate with the fans. As an entertainer you don’t get to do that enough.
Watch!: Have you ever had to censor yourself? Filling four hours a day can’t be easy.
Nick: I’m very opinionated, so I curb it sometimes. But a lot of times I speak my mind and deal with the consequences later.
Watch!: Like when you gave out your real home phone number on the show. What
were you thinking?
Nick: Luckily, we have more than one line, so now the line in the kitchen is designated for people to leave messages.
Watch!: Have people been calling?
Nick: Like crazy. The phone doesn’t stop ringing. There are thousands of messages. We play them on the show every morning. It’s mostly people calling to tell my wife how great she is, or to sing for her. The people who call to tell me how much they love my radio show are few and far between. One dude called and blatantly just said, “Hey, I need $5,000.” You gotta respect that—he came out and asked for what he wanted.

In case you’re not familiar, Watch! (www.cbswatchmagazine.com) is the official magazine of CBS, giving readers the backstage pass into entertainment, television and pop culture, mixed in with celebrity, fashion, lifestyle, travel, movies, music and sports. The new August issue features “The Big Bang Theory’s” Kaley Cuoco on the cover, as the publishing’s first in-flight photo shoot.

The ‘America’s Got Talent’ host – who became a father for the first time last month when the singer gave birth to their twins Moroccan Scott and Monroe – is amazed by how fortunate he has been in his personal life and says he has never been happier now he is a dad.
When asked if he wakes up in disbelief that Mariah is next to him, he replied: “Every single day. Every time – I – and especially now, because it’s on a whole different level because it was like, ‘Ooh, I have my dream girl and this is amazing.’
“But now, like, to actually have a family and to look down and see children that look like both of us, it’s, it’s surreal, man.
“I’m loving it, man. I can’t stop smiling. It’s an amazing thing to look down and see miniature yous looking up at you and stuff.”
Nick explained Mariah has always been his “celebrity crush” and he was determined to be in a relationship with her and, when they met three years ago, was thrilled to find she was not the diva people had previously claimed.
He told TV talk show host Piers Morgan: “I mean, I’ve always loved her. I’ve always been a huge fan. I would say I’ve spoken into existence because that was like my celebrity crush. And when I met her for the first time, I thought, ‘Oh, I’m going to have to meet this diva and I’m going to have to do this.’
“I mean, she was so down to earth and so normal and so regular – and a lot like I was.”

Actor Nick Cannon is fuming after learning his newborn twins’ birth certificates have been leaked online.
Cannon and his wife Mariah Carey became parents to babies Moroccan and Monroe in April.
Copies of the tots’ official birth certificates emerged on the internet on Thursday – less than a week after his son and daughter were released from the Santa Monica-Ucla Medical Center on 14 May.
The documents, which were posted on celebrity website TooFab.com, reveal that Monroe was delivered first, followed by her brother Moroccan. The papers also show that Monroe was not given a middle name, like her famous mother Carey, while Moroccan shares his dad’s middle name, Scott.
Members of the public are able to obtain “informational copies” of birth certificates in the State of California, but Cannon was upset over the leak and took to his Twitter.com page to vent his frustration.
Cannon tweeted, “Whoever released my children’s birth certificates need they (their) a** whooped!”

The singer – who welcomed Moroccan and Monroe into the world on April 30 – has now left hospital, and her husband Nick Cannon is overjoyed because for the first time it will just be the four of them with no medical professionals around.
Speaking on Saturday, Nick said: “My twins came home today. It’s a whole other level now because they’re at home.
“There’s no hospital rooms, and there’s no nurses, it’s just us. So, it’s real. It’s a little scary at times, but we’re handling it.”
‘America’s Got Talent’ host Nick has found it particularly hard to be away from the twins, something he wasn’t expecting.
He told ‘Access Hollywood’: “I didn’t know it was going to be this tough to leave home every time! Like, I left the hospital to go to New York to do promotion earlier in the week – that was tough. But I’m dealing with it.”
Mariah is also doing well at home, with Nick adding she was looking “beautiful”.
He said: “She’s up and walking around. It’s beautiful – she’s a mommy!”

A day after becoming parents to twins, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon renewed their vows with a hospital ceremony conducted by the Rev. Al Sharpton.
Saturday was the couple’s third anniversary – and also the day when Carey gave birth to a girl and a boy in Los Angeles. On Sunday, Sharpton blessed the babies, and also presided over a ceremony where the couple renewed their vows.
Cannon tweeted words of thanks to the civil rights activist and said: “Yep we just had a wedding in the hospital!”
Sharpton tweeted that Carey looked “great” and that the babies are beautiful.
No names for the newborns have been announced.

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon celebrated their third anniversary with another milestone – becoming parents to a baby girl and boy.
Carey’s representative, Cindi Berger, confirmed the births to The Associated Press. The singing superstar gave birth Saturday at 12:07 p.m. EDT at an undisclosed hospital in Los Angeles. Berger says the baby girl was born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; her brother was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches.
Berger says the couple has not named the children yet. Cannon drove Carey to the hospital in their Rolls-Royce Phantom. Berger said the 41-year-old Carey, who had gone through false labor, was calm, thinking that it was another false alarm.
Meanwhile, the 30-year-old Cannon was so nervous he went to the wrong department at the hospital, and was guided to the maternity ward by a nurse.
“It was like right out of an ‘I Love Lucy’ skit,” said Berger.
Berger says they were listening to Carey’s “We Belong Together” after the children were born.
The couple are expected to renew their wedding vows on Sunday. The pair got married in 2007 after a whirlwind romance. They were the subject of endless baby rumors, and the couple actually were expecting shortly after their marriage, but Carey had a miscarriage; they did not reveal the miscarriage until she announced her pregnancy last fall.
The couple plan to live a bi-coastal life, and have luxurious nurseries in both New York and Los Angeles.
As far as more children, Carey recently declared she’s done.

Actor/rapper Nick Cannon gave gossips a scare on Friday night when he dashed away from an event promoting his show America’s Got Talent to be by pregnant wife Mariah Carey’s side.
Many at the launch felt sure Cannon was rushing off to join his wife in the delivery room.
He was asked at the event if this would be the weekend his twins were born, and he replied, “It could be… You can plan as much as you wanna plan, but they’re gonna come when they wanna come.”
There was no new baby news from the Cannon/Carey camp.
