After dating for more than five years, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are married.

A spokeswoman for Minnillo confirms that the couple wed Friday. People magazine first reported the nuptials.

Publicist Melissa Raubvogel provided no other details.

The 37-year-old singer and 30-year-old actress announced their engagement in November. Lachey was previously married to Jessica Simpson.

He is host of NBC’s “The Sing-Off.” She was host of ABC’s “True Beauty.”

Nick Lachey’s first marriage was exposed to the world on reality TV.

That one failed – the marriage, not the show – but he’s now heading back to the small screen with his next nuptials.

Lachey and his soon-to-be second wife Vanessa Minnillo have inked a deal with TLC to air a special about their wedding planning process and the actual ceremony.

When the big event will occur has been kept a secret, of course, to preserve their romantic day. However, the folks at TLC say “Nick & Vanessa’s Dream Wedding” will air within weeks of the ceremony.

“We’re lucky to have such passionate and loving fans, and we thought partnering with TLC on this special would be the best way to share the exciting journey we’re on with all the people that support us and our relationship,” Nick and Vanessa said in a statement released by the network.

Neither participant in the wedding is a stranger to reality television. Nick Lachey famously starred on “Newlyweds,” an MTV reality show that documented the silly moments of his first marriage to Jessica Simpson. That show gave the world the memorable moment when Jessica, while eating tuna, asked , is “Chicken of The Sea chicken or tuna?”

Simpson and Lachey eventually divorced. He’s gone on to be a host NBC’s “The Sing off,” while Simpson has had her own series on VH1.

Minnillo, of course, is a former MTV on-air talent, who has been a judge on the ABC reality series “True Beauty” and will be a host on ABC’s “Wipeout” next season.

“From big events to ongoing series, TLC is the destination for the best wedding coverage on television. Nick and Vanessa are today’s ‘it’ couple and the excitement for their wedding keeps building. We know their fans will love sharing in their celebration,” said TLC general manager Amy Winter.

Parade.com has a brand new interview with Nick Lachey, where he dishes about his upcoming nuptials to Vanessa Minnillo, his thoughts on fatherhood, why he is “fearful” of his bachelor party, and more.

Here are some highlights:

Why he can’t wait to say “I do.”
“I’m at a point in my life where I’m ready to start another chapter. Having kids is a big part of that. I’m excited for what comes next. Life is a journey, and I’m certainly ready to close this chapter and move on to the next.”

On looking forward to his next role: fatherhood…
“I’m certainly looking towards it. I’d like to be a dad sooner than later. I’m getting up there. I’ve gotta catch up with my brother, he’s got two and I’ve got zero, so the pressure is on me!”

What’s in store for his upcoming bachelor party?
“I’m fearful! But we’re going to have a great time. At this point in life you don’t get to see the boys as much as you used to and a lot of the friends from college and stuff have moved on and have their own families, so this is a chance for us all to get together and tie one on and have some fun again. We’re all looking forward to it.”

Could there be a 98 Degrees reunion on the horizon?
“We’ve left the door wide open on that one. There’s certainly no animosity between any of the members. We’re all friends. If their schedules permit and the opportunity is there, I certainly see it happening down the line.”

Nick Lachey’s fiancee Vanessa Minnillo has laughed off rumors they are planning to escape to Italy to wed over the New Year, insisting the singer was “joking” when he mentioned eloping to Tuscany.

The couple became engaged in November and Lachey sparked speculation he was rushing down the aisle by commenting on the possibility of tying the knot while on vacation in Europe over the holiday season.

But Minnillo has dismissed the claims, because they have yet to even discuss wedding dates.

She tells Hollyscoop.com, “He was joking. We’re not getting married in Italy.

“I feel irresponsible for not having a date, but someone made a great point: When you’re dating, everyone is always asking when you’re getting engaged. When you’re engaged, everyone is always asking when you’re getting married.

When you get married they start asking when you’re going to get pregnant.

“Instead of keeping up with the Jones’, we’re just enjoying it.”

Wedding bells will ring again for one-time “Newlyweds” star Nick Lachey. A rep for Lachey says the singer and TV personality is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo.

The couple said in a statement released Thursday through publicist Jessica Berger that they’re “excited and incredibly happy” about their engagement. They didn’t announce a wedding date.

The 36-year-old Lachey was previously married to Jessica Simpson, and the two starred in an MTV reality show about their lives together, called “Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica.” Lachey now serves as host of NBC’s “The Sing-Off.”

The 29-year-old Minnillo is the host of ABC’s “True Beauty.”

The engagement was first reported by Us magazine.

Former boy band star Nick Lachey is packing up and moving on.

Jessica Simpsons ex-husband has put his Bel Air mansion on the market for a whopping $6.8 million.

He bought the four bedroom, five bathroom house in February 2006 from Heidi Klum and Seal for $5million.

Situated at the end of a mile long gated private road in the exclusive Bel Air neighbourhood of Los Angeles, the house has spectacular views over the city.

It boasts all white walls, soaring expanses of floor to ceiling glass, and dark stained hardwood floors.

There are several patios and terraces that surround the property, with views over the city, the canyons and towards the Pacific ocean in the distance.

The swimming pool, spa and main outdoor entertainment area located at the front of the house is completely enclosed and private.

The L shaped swimming pool has a raised jacuzzi on one side and a massive sunken bar tucked into the crook of the L surrounded by hotel type cabanas.

Nick, 36, was a member of the American boy band 98 Degrees along with his brother Drew the group released four albums and sold over 10 million records before Lachey went on to record two solo albums in 2003 and 2006.

During his time with the band, Nick met fellow singer Jessica Simpson.

The pair, who stared in MTV reality show Newlyweds, dated from 1999, married in 2002 and divorced in 2006 – when he bought the house.

Not long after, Nick began dating MTV VJ Vanessa Minnillo, 29, and in April 2007 she moved into the property with him.

Their on/off relationship saw them break up for six months last year, but they are now back together and according to reports, happier than ever.
