Paris Hilton is wrapping up a year of probation stemming from a 2010 drug arrest on the Las Vegas Strip.

Officials say Hilton’s attorneys appeared in court Tuesday on the 30-year-old celebrity socialite’s behalf to show Hilton had completed her obligations to the court. She had to pay a $2,000 fine and serve 200 hours of community service in addition to probation.

Hilton pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges of drug possession and obstructing an officer after police pulled over her and her then-boyfriend on Aug. 26, 2010.

Police say they detected a “vapor trail” of marijuana smoke wafting from the couple’s vehicle.

Hilton was arrested when a bag containing 0.8 of a gram of cocaine fell from her purse as she reached for lip balm in front of an officer.

Following in the footsteps of her father, Rick Hilton, a Beverly Hills real estate tycoon, she’ll fly to the Philippines on Saturday to announce a commercial real estate venture with Century Properties.

Hilton, moving on from her Oxygen reality show, will also open a store in the country and announce a new line of eyewear for Asia in partnership with manufacturer OEM. “This has been a busy summer for Paris following a number of appearances in St. Tropez,” her rep said.

Note to interviewers: Paris Hilton doesn’t like to be told that she’s past her prime.

The 30-year-old socialite walked out of a “Good Morning America” interview Wednesday after ABC correspondent Dan Harris asked whether she believed her time as a media obsession has ended.

Hilton, who has shot to celebrity status because of her famous family and the scandals she’s been involved in, used to be best friends with reality star Kim Kardashian before she went on to become an even bigger star — and now the two are rivals.

Hilton told Harris that she wasn’t worried that people who have followed in her shoes, like Kardashian, were overshadowing her.

The heiress, who has her own reality show, “The World According to Paris,” on Oxygen grew annoyed when Harris brought up the show’s low ratings.

“Do you worry about your moment having past?” he asked.

A visibly irritated Hilton can be seen laughing to herself and then looking off camera to her publicist, before she proceeds to get up from her chair and walk out in the middle of the interview.
Once she is no longer in the camera’s frame, Hilton can be heard saying, “I don’t want all this being used.”

After a conversation with her publicist, Hilton returns to the interview and gives what appears to be a well-rehearsed answer to Harris’ question.

“I’ve been doing this for 15 years now,” she said, “so its been a long time so just like any other business person or someone in the industry, it is always important to reinvent yourself and come up with new projects.”

A man accused of stalking Paris Hilton has pleaded not guilty to felony charges that could land him in jail for five years.

City News Service says 36-year-old James Rainford entered pleas Friday in Los Angeles to two felony stalking charges and three misdemeanor counts of disobeying a court order to stay away from the socialite.

Rainford was arrested on the Fourth of July after paparazzi recognized him outside Hilton’s Malibu home. It was his third arrest in less than a year related to Hilton.

Rainford is jailed on $150,000 bail. Jail records don’t indicate whether he has an attorney.

Rainford was released from jail in May after serving time for misdemeanor battery. Authorities say he had tried to grab Hilton’s then-boyfriend outside a courthouse earlier this year.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies have arrested a man accused of violating a restraining order that bars him from being within 200 yards of Paris Hilton or her home.

The sheriff’s department says in a statement that someone called authorities Monday afternoon and reported a man standing on a beach looking into Hilton’s Malibu home.

The caller recognized the man as James Rainford. He pleaded no contest to a battery charge in April after Hilton’s then-boyfriend Cy Waits was attacked outside a courthouse.

Deputies who responded were met by numerous paparazzi who pointed out Rainford standing on the beach.

Rainford was arrested without incident and is being held on $20,000 bail.

The arrest comes less than a week after a man convicted of trying to burglarize Paris Hilton’s home was sentenced to two years in prison.

Paris Hilton isn’t wasting any time shedding tears over her split with Cy Waits.

The heiress has been on two dates this week with “The Hangover” director Todd Phillips. They were first spotted having dinner at the Sunset Tower Hotel’s Tower Bar on Tuesday night.

On Thursday, they went on a date at the Chateau Marmont, then headed to a late party at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, making sure to be seen together. Hilton and Phillips are said to be old friends, but whether this develops into a romance is yet to be seen.

Her rep had no comment.

City News Service reported that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Kellogg also recommended during Wednesday’s hearing that Nathan Lee Parada undergo mental health counseling.

A jury took less than an hour in April to convict the 32-year-old of felony attempted residential burglary for trying to break into Hilton’s house in August.

The socialite testified during Parada’s trial about being awoken early Aug. 24 to the sound of Parada banging on Hilton’s window with a knife. Parada told a detective he planned to steal as much as he could carry and move to a deserted island.

His defense attorney argued that Parada had not taken antidepressant medication for days before his arrest.

Paris Hilton is used to cameras following her every move, but now it’s on her terms in her new reality show, The World According to Paris.

Hilton talked to Parade.com about her revealing new show, filming with her closest friends, and despite reports of a split, she dishes on her relationship with boyfriend Cy Waits.

Here are some highlights…

On the “real” Paris…
“There are a lot of misconceptions about me. If you watch the show you get to see the real me with my friends and family. A lot of the time I’m being very tongue-and-cheek. I like to joke around and laugh at things, and I think a lot of people take me seriously, but I’m really joking sometimes.”

On how she makes her relationship with Cy Waits work…
“By being honest and loyal and really being there for each other. We’re best friends. Being friends with the person you’re in a relationship with is the best advice I think.”

Shining the spotlight on the “most intimate moments of her life” in new reality show…
“There are a lot of very personal, intimate, and embarrassing moments. There are moments that I can’t even believe we put in the show, but I wanted people to see that my life is just like anyone else’s. Life is not perfect, things happen. I wanted to show the good and the bad.”

Despite the fame around her, she tries to lead a normal life…
“The paparazzi are always there, but it’s something I’ve gotten used to. It’s something I’ve had to deal with for 15 years now, so I try to lead as normal life as possible. I don’t like having big bodyguards around me all the time unless I’m working. I like going to the market and doing normal things.”
