The socialite has been dating the Las Vegas club boss for just over a year.
A source tells UsMagazine.com, “They are broken up. It’s sad. She cares about him a lot and thinks he’s a great guy but they really hit a rough patch.”
That ‘rough patch’ features in Hilton’s new reality TV show The World According to Paris – the hotel heiress is seen lashing out at her boyfriend in a club.
During their romance, Hilton was arrested for cocaine possession during a night out in Las Vegas with her beau, Waits fought off an intruder at her Hollywood home, and, in April, the club boss was attacked outside court in Los Angeles when he arrived to support his girlfriend as she testified against the man who broke into her home.
A source said, “He finds it hard to be in the spotlight and [deal with] the attention and stress on the relationship that comes with it.” Another source added, “They are done. She doesn’t want anyone to hold her back.” Other friends said the couple have hit a rough patch but could reconcile. Waits is also said to be unhappy with how their relationship was portrayed on her Oxygen reality show, “The World According to Paris,” where Hilton is seen complaining about his controlling ways including constant texts and e-mails.
Last week, Hilton was spotted at club Beverly in LA, where spies said she was “visibly upset about her situation with Cy.” But Waits told us everything is fine: “We’re great. I love her more than ever.” He also said he’s never seen the Oxygen show, but doesn’t like the media scrutiny of their relationship as a result of the program. Hilton’s rep had no comment.

The socialite’s latest trip into the reality TV world had an underwhelming first show, scoring only 409,000 viewers for its premiere on Wednesday, according to Us Weekly.
Much like her previous shows, “The World According To Paris” follows the 30-year-old heiress around as she tends to her day-to-day activities. In her premiere episode, she is seen in the first scene stripping off for a bubble bath, arguing with boyfriend Cy Waits and partying with Charlie Sheen’s ex, Brooke Mueller.
While promoting the show earlier this year, Hilton told reporters she just wanted the show to reveal everything about her life.
“I would never have done a show like this five, ten years ago. I wasn’t really comfortable with myself. I have been through so much. I have nothing to hide. It’s like, what else can happen? I was ready to show myself,” she said.
Hilton’s previous forays into reality TV included “The Simple Life” with former BFF Nicole Richie.
Paris Hilton halted an interview with Piers Morgan to comfort her crying mother Kathy, who burst into tears as the socialite described her infamous sex tape scandal.
A video of The Simple Life star and then-boyfriend Rick Salomon getting intimate in the bedroom hit the web in 2003 and was later released on Dvd, entitled One Night In Paris.
Hilton opened up about the ordeal during a joint interview with her mum Kathy on CNN talk show Piers Morgan Tonight, which aired in the U.S. on Tuesday night.
She says, “I just felt so betrayed. This was not some random guy, this was someone I was with for a few years. I thought I did (love him). I can’t believe that he would do something like that to me.
“It’s something that changed my life forever. This is not what I planned. I didn’t want to be known as that.
“Now when people look at me, they think that I’m something that I’m not, just because of one incident one night with someone who I was in love with. People assume, ‘Oh, she’s a s**t’, just because of one thing that happened to me.”
Kathy was seen wiping away tears as the TV star continued, “I’ll have to live with that for the rest of my life and explain it to my children. It’s something that’s changed my life forever. I’ll never be able to erase that.”
Morgan tried to continue his interview, but Hilton switched her attention to Kathy – who was silently weeping at her daughter’s revelations – and gave a her a hug. Morgan then offered to cut to an ad break as a crew member handed Paris a tissue to pass to her mother.
Kathy explains, “It was a very difficult time. We had therapy, and I think that that really helped (deal with the scandal).”
Socialite Paris Hilton has revealed her fondness for Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao. Paris Hilton, alongside her sister Nicky Hilton, was seen visiting the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas to watch Pacquiao’s fight with Shane Mosley.
After Pacquiao’s victory over Mosley, Paris praised the Filipino boxer on Twitter by describing him as ‘an incredible fighter’. According to Reuters, the Hilton sisters had stayed to attend the post-fight news conference, where she got to meet Pacquiao and his wife Jinkee. Paris also teased on Twitter that she was going to the Philippines this year, further planning to see the prized fighter again: ‘Wow! Such an honor to be brought on stage by Manny & his wife Jinkee after the fight. Can’t wait to visit them when I go to the Philippines’. CBN News speculates that Paris will open a Paris Hilton Beach Club there in the Philippines, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Paris Hilton is currently building to her business empire by planning to launch her own skin care line. She reportedly said: ‘I have been taking really good care of my skin so I will have products that are amazing for your skin.’ The products won’t be on sale until another few months.
Paris Hilton has publicly apologised to her former pal Lindsay Lohan after poking fun at the actress’ latest legal woes on her new reality TV show.
Lohan stands accused of stealing a necklace from a California jewellery store back in January. She has pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor, but was sentenced to 120 days in jail and 480 hours of community service last month after a judge ruled her arrest on the charge broke the terms of her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI case.
The Mean Girls star’s troubles became a talking point this week when a clip from Hilton’s new program, The World According to Paris, hit the internet. In the footage, Hilton is heard making a jibe about Lohan’s problems as she visits a homeless shelter and hands over a pair of earrings to one woman, who mistakes her for the troubled star.
The woman tells Hilton, “I’m going to give them to my sister as soon as I get back to Oklahoma and I’m going to tell them that Lindsay (gave them to me)… I thought you were supposed to be in rehab?”
Realising the identity mix-up, Hilton responds, “I’m not Lindsay!”, before joking about Lohan and adding in a voiceover: “If I were Lindsay, I’d be stealing the earrings, not giving them away.”
But now the hotel heiress has seen the error of her ways and apologized for the comments, telling TMZ.com, “I apologize to Lindsay for the comment that I made. I was joking around but it was thoughtless and unnecessary… I am reaching out to Lindsay so I can tell her myself.”
