From rap to fashion to movies, Queen Latifah isn’t just a jack of all trades, she’s the Queen. The 41-year-old entertainer talked to Parade.com about her new fashion line, today’s female rap scene, the best kisser in Hollywood, and more. Here are some highlights:

On paving the way for female rappers like Nicki Minaj…
“I know that I’ve had something to do with it. People paved the way for me and you pave the way for others. You have to expand the game as much as you can for the ladies. I’ve always kind of been a champion for the ladies in that sense. Even if we don’t like each other necessarily, I appreciate that each of us has our own voice and we can express ourselves the way we see fit. Not that Nicki is like me per se, but I think many female rappers have been inspired by me as I have been inspired by others.”

She’s not too impressed with today’s rap scene…
“Hopefully it will get back to where it was it was and more people will come out. We can’t just have one rapper (female). And to tell to you just how terrible the industry has gotten in that sense by not supporting and making sure that our voices are heard. It just became so male dominated. How much money can you throw at a strip club? How much weed can you smoke? How many girls can you have sex with? Can we have a new record? Can you make this interesting? The reason I think it started becoming like that is because there were no women’s voices out there giving you a different take on life. To me, hip hop will never be right until female rappers have a stronger voice in it.”

From LL Cool J to Djimon Hounsou to Common, who is the best onscreen kisser?
“Me! There are a couple of that are neck and neck though!”

Queen Latifah’s a busy gal, with a booming movie career, endorsement deals, hosting duties (People’s Choice Awards on Jan. 5!) and much more, but what will the future hold for this hard-working A-lister? In the Jan. 2 issue of PARADE, she reveals a bunch, including:

IN TEN YEARS?
Latifah, who splits her time between New Jersey, Miami and Los Angeles, says that in 10 years, she hopes to be “on cruise control, with a couple of kids under my belt.” Is she moving in that direction? “It’s in the Lord’s hands,” she says.

LOVE THE STATE YOU’RE FROM
“There’s something about growing up in New Jersey that prepares you for whatever you might encounter around the world. We’re not afraid to go places. I met Mike ‘The Situation’ [from Jersey Shore] because we were both on Jay Leno. He lives maybe 15 minutes from me. He was like, ‘If you ever get a flat tire, call me and I’ll hook you up.’ I love Jersey.”

IT’S NOT EASY BEING QUEEN
Latifah has some advice for Kate Middleton, as one queen to a future royal: “Make sure you have a sanctuary, because everybody in the world is going to be in your business. He happened to be born a prince; you happened to go to college and meet him. You’re two kids who fell in love. I just hope you have a happy life. And don’t take anything personally.”

Queen Latifah — cast in the upcoming movie “Just Wright” as a physical therapist who helps a Nets basketball player (played by Common) rehab his knee — insists she’s always been a Nets fan. Shooting at the team’s arena in the Meadowlands last week, Latifah, who grew up in Newark, told The Post’s Fred Kerber: “Darryl Dawkins used to get his hair cut at the barber shop over my house. So I’ve been a Nets fan since I was a kid.” Dawkins, a k a Chocolate Thunder, had names for his dunks, such as “In Your Face Disgrace,” “Earthquaker Shaker” and “Turbo Sexophonic Delight.”

But the Queen also likes her privacy. The rapper-turned-actress recently sashayed with five stunning women into Country Club’s weekly Wednesday night lesbian party, “Eden,” on West 14th Street. “She chilled for several hours, ordering bottle service for her friends and chatting up promoter Maggie Collier,” our spy said. She also showed up again this week. Latifah has always declined to discuss her sexuality and told the Times last year, “I don’t care if people think I’m gay or not.” She’s living on Greenwich Street while shooting her new movie, “Just Wright.” Her reps didn’t get back to us.
