Reese Witherspoon to star in ‘Sex Tape’

The ‘Water for Elephants’ actress will join Jason Segal in the new movie about a married couple who decide to spice up their marriage by having a night away from their kids and making an erotic video of themselves.

However, they run into trouble the next morning when they wake up to find that the tape has gone missing and the movie follows them as they begin a desperate search for it.

Nick Stoller – who directed Jason in ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ and wrote the actor’s upcoming ‘Muppets’ movie is attached to direct, while Escape Artists partners Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal and Steve Tisch will produce.

Reese – who has made a name for herself in romantic comedies including ‘Legally Blonde’, ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ and ‘How Do You Know’ – will return to her roots in new movie ‘Wish List’.

In the Disney film she will play a woman who, as a child, made 10 wishes in a well after throwing a coin in that becomes stuck and although her dreams do not come true when she is younger, the coin she threw in dislodges itself years later, causing all the childhood wishes to come true at once.

She will next hit cinemas in ‘This Means War’ alongside Chris Pine and Tom Hardy.

Actress Reese Witherspoon was struck by a car while jogging near Los Angeles on Wednesday morning and suffered minor injuries.

Santa Monica police Sgt. Richard Lewis says the Oscar-winning actress was hit by a car driven by an 84-year-old woman.

Witherspoon was jogging in an unmarked crosswalk in Santa Monica when the driver struck her at about 20 mph. The 35-year-old actress was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Lewis says the driver was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Witherspoon’s portrayal of June Carter in the 2005 film “Walk the Line” won her a best-actress Oscar.

Actress Reese Witherspoon is preparing for a messy Easter with her family – she’s planning a bizarre egg race.

The Walk the Line star lives on a California ranch with new husband Jim Toth and her two children and reveals having 21 chickens on her farm has its perks around Easter.

She recently got creative with the surplus eggs and decided to implement a new family tradition for the holiday – although the Oscar winner admits the games she has planned for this weekend will end in a big stink.

Witherspoon says, “I was trying to think of new games you can play. So I went online and there’s this game where you stuff as many eggs into your tube socks as possible. And then you have to run a race. And whoever ends up at the end of the race with the least amount of broken eggs wins!

“It’s actually super fun, because the adults get competitive. We started whacking each other’s shins and ankles, grabbing each other, taking each other down. Especially me, because I’m a little bit competitive. Literally, it’s disgusting. And it smells like rotten eggs for about three weeks. But it’s fun.”

Reese Witherspoon sat down with for an exclusive video interview at Santa Monica’s Fairmont Miramar Hotel and dished how she does it all, why she chose Water for Elephants as her latest project and also her opinions on the popular culture mainstay that has become Robert Pattinson.

The ‘Water for Elephants’ actress – who split from first husband Ryan Phillippe in 2006 after seven years of marriage – tied the knot with the Hollywood agent last week but admits she never expected to find love again because she has too many “quirks”.

She said: “You’re surprised somebody wants to be with you because, boy, I’ve got a lot of quirks and wrinkles.”

However, the 35-year-old beauty believes her marriage to ‘Cruel Intentions’ co-star Ryan – with who she has children Ava, 11, and seven-year-old Deacon – helped her “learn” a lot about relationships and particularly communication with a significant other.

She said: “We were ridiculously young. I learned a lot, thought.

“It was a good opportunity for me to really find out what it means to be a partner and to be in a marriage, and it’s not anything I thought it was.

“You can’t say, ‘I don’t want to talk about that.’ You just can’t. You’ve got to talk about it all.”

Reese – who won an Oscar for her portrayal of June Carter Cash in ‘Walk the Line’ in 2005 – also admitted she finds it hard to be away from her children.

She told Elle magazine: “There’s this fallacy that we can have it all. I get it often, ‘Oh, you have it all,’ and I don’t.
“It’s hard. And there are times I take two years off and I don’t work. And there are times I go to work and I feel sick because I can’t see my kids for five days.

“And it’s real hard to go. Work is important to me. The kids are important to me. My relationship’s important to me. But all three can’t be functioning at 100 per cent at all times.”

Reese Witherspoon exchanged vows with talent agent Jim Toth in an intimate ceremony today at her lavish $7 million estate in Ojai, California.

The Legally Blonde star, 35, who wore a custom-designed gown by Monique Lhuillier, walked down the aisle to the traditional Bridal Chorus.

Toth, 40, had earlier arrived for the traditional service with her children Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, while the Tennessee Waltz played.

Stars including Renee Zellweger, Matthew McConaughey, Tobey Maguire, Robert Downey, Jr., Alyssa Milano, Isla Fisher and Salma Hayek were also among the 120 guests.

Witherspoon’s best friend, Heather Rosenfield, served as matron of honor, and her young nieces were flower girls, according to Us Weekly.

Her parents John, a surgeon, and Betty, a Ph.D college professor, had flown in from Tennessee while Toth, who is originally from Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, also had family in attendance.

Guests mingled at a pre-wedding cocktail hour before the ceremony, which was just 20 minutes long.

Eighty white doves were released moments after the couple said ‘I do’.

A large marquee was erected on the luxurious ranch, which is situated on six acres, and it was trimmed with lights and candles before the occasion.

Many guests had earlier checked into the nearly by Ojai Valley Inn & Spa including the newly single Zellweger.

The Bridget Jones star, who split from Bradley Cooper last week, attended the service along with her publicist Nanci Ryder, who also represents Witherspoon and is one of the bride’s closest friends.

Witherspoon had apologized in advance to neighbours for all the noise, traffic and extra congestion caused by her friends, family and media descending on their neighborhood.

‘Reese sent nice personalized letters to all the neighbors last week’, a source told Radar Online.

‘She informed us that she and Jim were having their wedding at her home and apologized ahead of time for all the construction and all the cargo trucks that would be coming in and out of the community’.

The source added: ‘I thought it was really considerate and thoughtful of her. She was thinking of others while planning her big day. What a classy gal!’

Workers were seen putting together a large white tent at the back of the expansive Libby Ranch at her California country estate earlier this week and an aerial view captured her lavish grounds being transformed for her very special day.

The large building is surrounded by lush greenery and proved the perfect romantic setting.

She is said to have employed the services of celebrity event planner Yifat Oren to ensure her big day goes off without a hitch.

Earlier this week, the Academy Award winner managed to squeeze in some essential pampering time before her big day.

Witherspoon and Toth became engaged over the Christmas period after meeting in January last year.

He proposed with a $250,000 four-carat Ashoka diamond.

It is the first marriage for Toth but the second time down the aisle for Witherspoon, who was married to the father of her children, Ryan Phillippe, 36, for eight years.

She also dated Brokeback Mountain star Jake Gyllenhaal, 30, however they split in 2009.

The 34-year-old actress – who has two children, 11-year-old daughter Ava and seven-year-old son Deacon, with ex-husband Ryan Phillippe – is backing cosmetic firm Avon’s new empowerment charm bracelet, which is being sold in the UK to raise funds for domestic violence charities Refuge, Women’s Aid and Unifem and marks International Women’s Day today.

Reese, who is an Avon Global Ambassador and Honorary Chair of the Avon Foundation for Women, said: “Although the problem may seem insurmountable, there are ways for women and men everywhere to help bring an end to violence against women across the globe.

“The Avon Empowerment Bracelet is a simple, but powerful, way to raise funds to reduce violence against women. As a woman and as a mother, I urge you to join me on this very special anniversary of International Women’s Day to end this epidemic by wearing and giving the bracelet to friends and family.”

To date, Avon’s empowerment jewelry has helped raise over $11 million for domestic violence charities worldwide.

The 34-year-old actress was previously married to actor Ryan Phillippe. She has two children with him and they divorced in 2008.

Witherspoon won an Oscar for her performance in “Walk the Line.” She stars in the recently released comedy “How Do You Know.”

Toth is an agent for Creative Artists Agency. Witherspoon is a CAA client but is represented by another agent.
