They never lost touch, not even in the exciting first days of her engagement to Kris Humphries. But now that her marriage is all but over, Kim Kardashian has turned to her ex-boyfriend NFL star Reggie Bush for comfort. The pair, who dated on and off for three years before splitting in March 2010, talked for three hours after Kim announced her plans to divorce. “Immediately following the divorce announcement, Reggie reached out to Kim to let her know that he was always there for her if she needed someone to talk to,” says a Kim confidante. “Kim still loves Reggie deeply. She never got over that; she doesn’t think she ever will. She says he is her one true love.”

REGGIE IS KIM’S ROCK
Since Kim, 31, filed for divorce on Oct. 31, she and Reggie, 26, who’s currently in Miami where he plays for the Dolphins, have communicated via text message, phone and computer — culminating in a long, heartfelt conversation via Skype in the days before she met with Kris on Nov. 6.

“Reggie and Kim made a date to talk uninterrupted,” a friend of the football player confides. “Kim just feels really lost right now, and she isn’t sure who to trust or who she should turn to. Reggie is one of the few people who make her feel safe. Kim confided to Reggie how disappointed she was in her marriage to Kris, which lasted just 72 days, and how she came to realize that she jumped into the union too quickly.

“Reggie was just so patient listening to it all. He let Kim just pour her heart out to him for the first hour.”

“Reggie has a calming effect on Kim,” says the Kim confidant. “He really has such a positive outlook, and he made Kim remember that she is blessed.”

THERE’S STILL LOVE THERE
Over their three-hour conversation, Kim didn’t just complain about her marriage. She and Reggie also talked about their relationship. “It was a heartfelt talk: They laughed; they flirted; Kim cried,” says the confidante. “It began to seem like old times.”

Though there were reports that Kim and Reggie had already met up for lunch in NYC on Oct. 29, a Kim insider says their in-person reunion hasn’t happened yet — but it will. “Before they said goodbye on Skype, they made plans to see each other in person soon,” says the insider.

Reggie has been dating Melissa Molinaro, a 29-year-old model (who bears more than a passing resemblance to Kim) since the summer, but that doesn’t mean he ever stopped thinking about Kim. “Reggie loves Kim; I’m not sure if he’s still in love with her, but he still loves her without question,” his friend explains. “He never felt about any woman the way he did about Kim. I haven’t heard him utter one nasty or negative thing since the split happened.”

Reggie is also one of the few people in Kim’s life who hasn’t passed judgment on her failed marriage or made harsh jokes about the spectacle she made of her August wedding. “Whenever you mentioned it, Reggie just would say he wished Kim the best and all the happiness in the world,” says his pal. “He’s a real class act. He loved that girl with his whole heart. Probably still does.”

By the time Kim got off the phone with Reggie and began to pack for her trip to see Kris in Minneapolis, she was feeling better and more confident. “She felt like she lost a little bit of herself when she was with Kris,” explains her friend, adding that talking with Reggie helped her get back on track.

“Kim is finally taking responsibility for her actions,” says another pal. “It’s been a growing experience. She is happy that she’s got her family behind her and Reggie. If this ends up bringing Reggie back into her life in a bigger way, then that’s one positive thing that came out of this whole experience.”

Tuesday night, the NFL star seemed unusually disinterested in the pretty girls who were closing in as he dined at Miami Beach’s Delano with male pals including Dolphins teammate Anthony Fasano. A witness said, “His friends asked the girls to leave.” Rumors are swirling that Reggie and Kim, who dated for two years until 2009, may reconcile after she asked for a divorce from Kris Humphries for Halloween.

Sometimes it’s tough getting over an ex.

New Orleans Saints football player Reggie Bush seems to be nostalgic about his past relationship with reality TV star Kim Kardashian.

Bush, 26, is dating a woman who strikes an uncanny resemblance to Kardashian, whom he dated on and off for about three years, according to PopEater.

His new lady friend is Melissa Molinaro, an actress whose familiar face can be seen in previous commercials for Old Navy. The brunette beauty’s TV ads proved to be a big hit and earned over 1.7 million views on YouTube within the first week of its release.

It was then, when the commercial aired on TV, that people started to compare the Canadian stunner to the Armenian-American celebrity.

Since his split from Kardashian in March 2010, Bush has been linked to many celebrities, including singer Jessie James and model Amber Rose. Kardashian, on the other hand, recently got engaged to New Jersey Nets player Kris Humphries.

The pair split in March after a tumultuous three year relationship but friends say the NFL football player misses their boxer Rocky so much, he flies to Kim’s home in Los Angeles to see him every chance he gets.

One pal said: “I was just with him a few weeks ago at his place in New Orleans and he kept talking about how much he missed Rocky. He said he was going to fly to Los Angeles to see the dog, but obviously Kim has the dog the majority of the time, so there’s no way to avoid seeing her.”

Reggie – who plays for the New Orleans Saints – has suffered a recent injury, breaking the fibula in his right leg in September, but this will give him a chance to spend his time recovering with Rocky.

The friend told Hollywoodlife.com: “Reggie loves Los Angeles. He travels more than any other player in the league, I’m sure he’s spending most of his time out in Los Angeles.”

However, it is believed Reggie is hoping to win back 29-year-old Kim, who recently broke up with NFL football player Miles Austin.

When asked if reconciliation was on the cards, he replied: “Yeah, anything’s possible. We’ve always been on good terms, always. No matter what happens.”

Kim announced earlier this month she was temporarily relocating to New York City top to open a new DASH Boutique store and film a reality TV show with her sister Kourtney.

The Saints running back — who ended high-profile relationships with Kim Kardashian and Amber Rose this year — celebrated the Saints’ victory over the San Diego Chargers on Friday at Whiskey Blue in New Orleans with Saints teammates Jeremy Shockey, Darren Sharper and Roman Harper. “Flocks of girls were waiting to see Reggie, but he could care less,” a spy said.

Kim Kardashian had to be separated from ex-boyfriend Reggie Bush by bodyguards after he started flirting with her at a wedding and they got embroiled in a drunken argument

The incident occurred when the NFL player started flirting with the beautiful socialite at the Los Angeles nuptials of his New Orleans Saints teammate Bobby McCray.

The sports star is said to have approached Kim and asked her about work before admitting he wanted to date her again.

Kin – who is currently single – and Reggie then got into a heated discussion which turned “aggressive” but not physical as they knocked back more drinks.

According to gossip website TMZ, bodyguards then had to step in to “pull Reggie away from Kim”.

Security then called separate cabs for the pair at 1am and sent them home.

Reality TV star Kim and Reggie split after three years together in March after she put pressure on him to get married.

She has wanted to tie the knot and start a family ever since her younger sister Khloe Kardashian wed basketball star Lamar Odom last September.

Football star Reggie Bush reportedly has a new tight end.

The Saints running back and ex-flame of Kim Kardashian was spotted getting cozy with Kanye West’s former gal pal Amber Rose at AXE Lounge in Southampton over the weekend.

“They even took bathroom breaks together,” reported PerezHilton.com.

Good thing Reggie Bush is a fast runner, because the IRS might be chasing him for back taxes, penalties and interest on the estimated $300,000 worth of luxury gifts he allegedly received while playing football at the University of Southern California. And if they catch him, Bush could end up writing the government agency a check on the high side of $150,000.

“If the entire $300,000 is determined to be taxable,” Los Angeles-based CPA Mark Greenberg said, “about 50 percent of that would go to the IRS and Franchise Tax Board. And with penalties and interest, it could go up to 60 percent since it’s going back a few years.”

Greenberg estimates that Bush, now the star running back for the New Orleans Saints, “ultimately will wind up paying about $150,000,” but “it could be up to $200,000” if his financial team can’t get the penalties and interest waived.

Bush and USC have been in hot water since June 10, when the NCAA sanctioned the school with four years of probation and a two-year ban on postseason bowl games. The Trojan football team was also forced to forfeit all its victories during the three seasons Bush played, and it was stripped of 30 football scholarships intended for new players over the next three years.

The penalties imposed upon the coveted USC football program and former student-athlete Bush are the result of an extensive investigation that discovered the Heisman trophy winner received more than $300,000 in illegal benefits from marketing agents during the years he played college football.

Bush proclaimed his innocence in a public statement, saying, “I very much regret the turn that this matter has taken, not only for USC, but for the fans and players. I am disappointed by {the} decision and disagree with the NCAA’s findings. If the University decides to appeal, I will continue to cooperate with the NCAA and USC, as I did during the investigation.”

Bush’s camp declined to comment as to whether he has been contacted by any government agencies regarding unreported or underreported income. The IRS is legally unable to comment about any specific taxpayer.

How will all the drama surrounding Bush affect the lucrative endorsement deals he has inked since becoming one of the most prestigious players in the NFL? So far, not a lot.

“Reggie Bush has been an outstanding role model and a great partner of ours since he began his professional career. We’ve had a great relationship with him and look forward to continuing that in the future,” an Adidas rep told FOX411.com. Energy drink Red Bull said it “will continue to support Reggie Bush.” And the Milk Mustache campaign said it has no plans to change its relationship with the star player, calling itself “proud to work with Reggie Bush whose professional accomplishments, dedication to youth and community service sets a fine example for the young people of America.”

It remains to be determined whether Bush will keep the Heisman trophy he earned as a superstar running-back in 2005. But some sports media experts think Bush should be prepared to hand it over.

“I don’t think there should be any question. Bush should be stripped of the Heisman. I expect that to happen now that the NCAA has made its findings public,” said Eric Crawford, senior sports columnist at The Louisville Courier-Journal.

John McGrath, a sportswriter at The Seattle News Tribune, echoed Crawford’s sentiments, saying “as for Bush and the Heisman, the trophy ought to be revoked.”

But some say Bush deserves to keep the award, regardless of any controversy.

“He should keep the Heisman Trophy because no one would argue he is not an outstanding athlete with great ability who’s achieved what he’s achieved by being a great football player,” said Jason W. Maloni, senior vice president of Levick Strategic Communications, a marketing firm. “Bush already has a Super Bowl victory to his name and has certainly proven he can compete in the NFL.”

The Saints star was spotted shopping at Barneys in Beverly Hills with a new, curvy brunette on his arm over the weekend.

A witness said, “They looked pretty relaxed to gether, like they’d known each other for a while.”

The date could put an end to rumors that Bush was still plaguing Kardashian with calls hoping for a reconciliation. She’s since been linked to womanizing soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo.
