The couple were on a reshoot in Vancouver, Canada, for the third instalment of the vampire film series when the argument erupted after Robert arrived late on the set, with Kristen accusing him of spending time in a racy burlesque club.

An onlooker said: “Kristen asked for a reshoot because she didn’t like her wig in the scene. Robert turned up later on the set.

“When Robert arrived, he and Kristen started fighting. She accused him of taking a later flight from London because he had been hanging out too late at a burlesque bar. She accused him right in front of the director and crew.”

Robert – who today celebrates his 24th birthday – did not take the accusation well and the cast and crew had to take a break.

The onlooker added to the New York Postnewspaper: “He didn’t take it well. They were both so angry, the crew had to take a break for an hour for things to simmer down.”

A spokesperson for the film’s studio Summit Entertainment denied any row occurred, and insists Robert wasn’t even late.

The representative said: “Rob was not late on set, he arrived later because he had a different call time than other cast members. There was no row or ill feeling at all. Everything went very well.”

Kristen recently admitted she doesn’t want to talk about her relationship with Robert publicly because she it “cheapens” their feelings.

She said: “I would never cheapen my relationships by talking about them. People say, ‘Just say who you’re dating. Then people will stop being so ravenous about it.’ It’s like, ‘No they won’t!’ They’ll ask for specifics.”

The ‘Twilight’ actor – who is currently in the UK shooting his new movie ‘Bel Ami’ with Uma Thurman – claims the devoted female supporters who follow him everywhere could make him deaf because of the volume at which they screech.

The 23-year-old heartthrob said: “I’m almost completely deaf anyway. So I’m worried. I’m very worried.”

Robert’s ears aren’t the only part of his body which have been damaged by fans.

The actor was clipped on the legs by a taxi in New York last year while he was trying to run away from a horde of teenage girls who had come to see him film his latest release ‘Remember Me’.

Speaking of the incident, he said: “It was kind of chaotic.”

A source said at the time: “It’s non-stop busy all day with people trying to get a glimpse of him, and the crowd goes nuts when they do see him.”

Robert previously revealed he had to rely on the support of his castmates and the crew on ‘Remember Me’ to stop him being mobbed by his fans everyday.

He told BANG Showbiz: “Everyone was so supportive on set. I got everyone helping me out everyday. Fans were gathering on the street and the crew would have to get really close together and form a circle around me, so we were really close.”

Robert Pattinson admitted after the BAFTA Awards on Sunday night he is dating his ‘Twilight’ co-star Kristen Stewart.

The actor – who stars in the hit ‘Twilight’ vampire movie franchise alongside Kristen – has previously been very guarded about his love life but admitted at the BAFTA Awards after-party on Sunday night he and Kristen are an item.

Robert, 23, insists they have only avoided going public with their relationship before now because they were worried about being hounded by obsessed fans.

Speaking at the post-BAFTAs dinner held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, he said: “It is extremely difficult but we are together, yes. We can’t arrive at the same time because of the fans, it goes crazy.

“This was supposed to be a public appearance as a couple but it’s impossible. We are here together and it’s a public event but it’s not easy. We have to do all this stuff to avoid attention.”

Robert – who arrived at the ceremony at the Royal Opera House separately to Kristen – was allegedly all over her once they left the awards show.

Robert presented a gong while 19-year-old Kristen picked up the Orange Rising Star award.

The next film in the vampire series, ‘Eclipse’, is set to be released in July and will continue with the story which sees Robert star as Edward, a vampire who has fallen in love with high-school student Bella, played by Kristen.

His vampire alter ego may be prince charming, but “Twilight” star Robert Pattinson does not worship women in quite the same way.

In fact, he is downright repulsed by some of their parts.

In a new interview with Details magazine, in which Pattinson was photographed with several scantily-clad female models, the British actor reveals why the shoot wasn’t exactly his cup of tea.

“I really hate vaginas. I’m allergic to vagina,” he tells Details. “But I can’t say I had no idea, because it was a 12-hour shoot, so you kind of get the picture that these women are going to stay naked after, like, five or six hours.”

Pattinson says he was thankful he was hungover during the ordeal, presumably because he had an excuse for not conversing with the models.

He did, however, take solace in the fact that the shoot wasn’t overly pornographic, comparing its style to that of vintage pornography.

“If you look at porn in, like, the eighties, there was something kind of quaint about it, quite sweet — like this little naked community,” Pattinson tells the magazine. “The people who made it liked it, they had respect for it. Not remotely like the porn that’s available now…It’s just everything, everywhere.”"

His aversion to contemporary porn aside, Pattinson does devote much of his brain power to women. According to Details, he talked during the interview about, “Jimi Hendrix, French fries, girls, art, beer, his cousin the philosopher, girls, truth, God, his dog, girls…”

Though he seems to have the female species firmly on the brain, Pattinson’s strongest relationship is with another species entirely.

“The only emotional connection of relevance is with my dog,” he tells Details. “My relationship with my dog, it’s ridiculous.”

At least his tween fans have nothing to be jealous of.

Fans may like seeing as much of Robert Pattinson’s body as possible, but he’s not so keen on it.

The scene in “New Moon” that required him to doff his shirt didn’t sit so well with the 23-year-old heartthrob.

“I felt pretty goofy stepping out into the sunlight in front of 2,000 people in a town square, ripping my clothes off,” he told Parade magazine. “I was essentially doing a striptease.”

Still, Pattinson felt the scene connected him more deeply to his character, calling it “one of the moments where I’ve really felt closest to people’s emotional attachment to Edward.”

“There were so many extras in that scene who were ‘Twilight’ fans who had flown in just to be a part of it,” he said. “It was a moment where I’ve felt the whole weight of anticipation, and I guess responsibility as well, of being Edward, for all the people who were kind of so obsessed with the stories. It was quite uplifting, and it was also very nerve-wracking.”

Pattinson puts down part of the self-consciousness about showing his bod to his upbringing in England.

“It’s funny because Spanish people have no problem with nudity at all,” he told U.K.’s Star magazine. “And English people obviously do have the most enormous problem with it.

“Little things, like when I saw my father getting changed for swimming, I was traumatized by it… I kind of freaked out a bit.”

Pattinson even admitted that he would take off all of his clothes – for the right part.

“I think it would depend on what it is,” he said. “And I don’t think a lot of people would really want to see that. I think it would ruin the illusion!”

Speaking with Parade about his “Twilight” role, Pattinson admitted he has some things in common with the character – despite his being a vampire.

“Edward is pretty self-righteous, and I guess I am too,” he said. “I get quite obsessive about things and possessive as well.”

In fact, Pattinson says he has “very specific ideas” about how he wants to do his work and how he wants to be perceived “to the point of ridiculousness sometimes.”

“I don’t listen to anyone else,” he admits. “That’s why I don’t have a publicist. I can’t stand it if someone is trying to tell me to do something, even if it’s probably a mistake sometimes. I’m like a control freak about it.”

Paris is for lovers, and judging by their tightly clasped hands, it looks like Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have fallen under the city’s spell.

As the “New Moon” co-stars boarded a plane following a press conference earlier in the day, Pattinson, 22, and the world’s most famous shrinking violet, Stewart, looked happy to finally share some private time.

But no thanks to a sneaky paparazzi who snapped the smiling duo, their tender moment wasn’t private enough.

After months of speculation, “Twilight” fans are now taking the hand-holding as cold, hard evidence of a romance between the toothsome couple.

And if Pattinson’s recent interview with Britain’s New! Magazine are true, it sounds like the brooding 19-year old Stewart is just his type.

“I like people who are strong and have a lot of darkness to them,” the heartthrob told the mag.

While Stewart and Pattinson may be shirking the attention, their “New Moon” co-stars Peter Facinelli and Kellan Lutz get a kick out of it.

The actors playfully reenacted the hand-holding photo and posted it on Twitter with the caption: “Co-stars caught holding hands. Guess this picture proves everything.”
