Sean “Diddy” Combs threw such a hot party in the penthouse of a Manhattan hotel that guests literally set the place on fire.

The Fire Department was called to the London NYC on West 54th Street when the mane of a gorgeous bikini-clad model frolicking in a bubble bath suddenly went up in flames Tuesday night.

According to sources, Diddy told hotel managers he’d invited 20 people to the 2,500-square-foot penthouse for a small soiree to celebrate the launch of his new album, “Last Train to Paris.” But almost 200 people crammed in for the bash on the 54th floor.

Usher, Fabolous, Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Miss USA Rima Fakih and Swizz Beatz were among the stars who attended the party, which featured booze, flashing lights, dancing and scantily-clad women.

But things got scary when the model leaned back over a candle, and flames started shooting from her hair and out of the bathtub, on the edge of which Fabolous and Songz were perched. As seen in a Ustream video of the event, the panicked beauty screamed and dunked her head in the water.

“Oh, oh, oh [bleep!]” screamed Diddy’s hype man, Kevin Hart, over the mike. “Did the camera catch that? Did the camera catch that?”

“Fab was the first person to see the fire,” Hart says in the video. “We put it out as quick as we could, I can honestly say.”
A worried-looking Diddy then appears on camera, rubbing his head frantically and asking why firefighters had been called. He later grabbed the microphone to announce, “The Fire Department just left upstairs. It’s crazy, but everything is under control.”

Sources said Diddy is no longer welcome back at the hotel. Asked to comment on the incident, Diddy’s rep said only, “He invited a few friends to a listening session, which was Ustreamed live for his fans worldwide.” The hotel declined to comment. The NYFD said it had no information on the incident.

“Inspired by his addiction to style and the fashion worlds from New York to Paris, Diddy’s new album, Last Train to Paris (to be released December 14), is a brilliant fusion of stream of consciousness and beats that bring to mind the broken cadences of avant-garde jazz.” —Andre Leon Talley

The rapper and his new group Diddy-Dirty Money will perform songs from upcoming album ‘Last Train To Paris’ at a concert at the Old Fruitmarket, in Glasgow, Scotland, on September 29.

The show will be Diddy’s first UK concert in over five years and the hip-hop superstar will also treat fans to a selection of his greatest hits as well as the fresh material.

The band said: “We cannot wait to bring the Diddy-Dirty Money movement to Glasgow. Diddy-Dirty Money definitely know how to get the party started!”

The concert is part of MTV Crashes and is being filmed and aired on MTV channels in 161 countries.

Kerry Taylor, Senior Vice President Content and Creative for MTV Networks UK and Ireland, said: “Glasgow is the ideal destination for MTV Crashes. Diddy-Dirty Money who will no doubt help us ‘crash’ the city of Glasgow on September 29 and turn it into one big party for the people of the city.”

The 40-year-old rapper formed Diddy-Dirty Money with singers Kalenna Harper and Dawn Richard and recently admitted he named the group after spending time thinking about his cash-stashing habits.

He said: “It’s called Dirty Money because of a situation I found myself in a while back. I had some dollars stashed in my pants. I keep my s**t pretty tight so there was no question of this cash being, you know, tainted in any way.

“But it made me think it was dirty money from being stashed down my pants. That’s where the name came from.”

So many people showed up for Sean “Diddy” Combs’ “Red White & Blue” party at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City Sunday night that the venue had to be temporarily shut down, with partygoers banned from entering and leaving for more than an hour.

Because of the shutdown, Diddy didn’t attend his own event. “The party was so crazy I couldn’t even get in!!!!!!” he posted on Twitter shortly after.

A rep for the event confirmed that the party closed early due to the larger than expected turnout and Diddy couldn’t appear, but “guests were certainly not detained against their will.”

Sean Combs is catching flak over a recent ABC interview where he was asked if it was appropriate to give son Justin a $400,000 Maybach for his 16th birthday.

“It’s appropriate for me to give my kids whatever I give my kids,” Diddy responded.

But it’s moot because Justin doesn’t have the Maybach, and his mother, stylist Misa Hylton-Brim, was spotted at a BMW dealer last weekend looking at more modest rides.

Her rep, BJ Coleman, said, “Misa has recently been shopping for a new BMW for Justin.”

Combs was filmed in January for MTV’s “My Super Sweet 16″ presenting his son with a Maybach at the teen’s lavish birthday bash. But although Justin, who lives with his mom in Westchester, drove off in the car on his birthday, it stays parked at his father’s house to be used only for special occasions, said sources close to Combs.
