Snoop Dogg isn’t the only urban star to run into trouble with the IRS – rapper Lil Wayne, singer R. Kelly and music mogul Damon Dash have all recently been chased for payment by U.S. tax officials.

The unlikely couple have been seen shooting the new video together in a luxury resort in St. Tropez, there have been rumours of a collaboration since Lagerfeld attended Snoop’s West Coast party in Paris early this summer according to Mtv.com. The rapper’s upcoming single is appropriately named St. Tropez and the Chanel designer will be hoping to bring a touch of catwalk fashion to the 39-year-old rappers gangsta lyrics. He was born and raised in Long Beach, California and was one of the leading West Coast rappers of the early 1990s, releasing his debut album Doggystyle in 1993 which went straight in at number 1 on the billboard charts, the album has since gone on to become certified quadruple platinum. Snoop Dogg wants to launch rap’s answer to “American Idol.”

The rapper has been pitching a TV series to discover the next hot hip-hop act. We hear that Oxygen, Bravo and NBC aren’t biting but that E! and MTV have shown interest.

Sources say Snoop is touting that the show could be as popular as Fox’s “American Idol,” but TV execs are not convinced. He’s also working on wrangling a celebrity panel of hip-hop icons to judge and mentor young acts as they compete.

“He wants to bring in an old-school legend, and he wants to get Jay-Z,” an insider said. Rapper Wiz Khalifa has shown interest and will likely be involved. “Snoop has wild ideas about who he can get to judge, but most are probably unlikely, including Jay,” a source said. Jay-Z’s rep denied he had any involvement. Snoop recently said, “I’m looking for a deal from a network to find America’s hottest ‘hood artists.”

Snoop Dogg arrived an hour and a half late for his performance at Playboy’s Super Bowl party at the Bud Light Hotel in Dallas on Friday night because his tour bus was caught in traffic behind a snarling accident.

Ice and snow in the DFW region Thursday night left roads treacherous the next day.

Snoop eventually took the stage at about 1:30 am after Flo Rida opened for the crowd including Mark Salling, Craig Robinson and Dave Annable.

When a woman in the crowd flashed her boobs at Snoop Dogg (and on the JumboTron) the crowd went wild and Snoop yelled out, “Girl, those so new they probably still got a price tag on ‘em.”
