Actor Sylvester Stallone has become the latest star to enter the world of fashion – he’s creating a clothing line.

Sly Inc., which was inspired by the star’s legendary on-screen characters Rambo and Rocky Balboa, will consist of jeans, shirts, outerwear, underwear, and watches.

Stallone tells Men’s Week magazine, “I thought the time is now. I’ve lived a life where I know what has worked and what hasn’t worked. Clothing is the first step to building a character.”

The actor, who will launch the lifestyle brand next year, eventually hopes to expand the line to include eyewear, grooming products, athletic wear and even a fragrance.

John “Junior” Gotti and Sylvester Stallone “hit it off” during a tete-a-tete dinner at Mr. Chow in Los Angeles the other night to discuss Sly playing Junior’s dad, “Dapper Don” John Gotti Sr., in a proposed biopic.

“Everybody was looking when they walked in,” said Manhattan private eye Bill Stanton, who brokered the sit-down and was executive producer of reality TV’s “Growing Up Gotti.”

Stanton told The Post’s Dan Mangan that although a deal hasn’t been signed yet, “They’re in serious negotiations. For John, this is a story about redemption, about how he wants to move on. This isn’t a mob story, this a love story between a father and a son, and the family business, which happened to be ‘The Family’ business.” Stanton said a trim-looking Sly and Junior posed for photos and signed autographs for fans on the way out after tucking into lobster, ribs and other Chinese delectables.

It seems Sylvester Stallone’s action hero routine isn’t all an act.

After online critics dismissed stories he had broken his neck during fight scenes for his new movie, he issued an X-ray.

And the photo shows the brutal truth of his claims – with a metal plate held in place by six screws.

Stallone emailed the StalloneZone website with a note which read: ‘For the doubters and the haters, a picture is worth a thousand words. You walk the walk, you pay the price.’

The veteran action hero had emergency surgery and a metal plate inserted in his neck following the accident on the set of The Expendables. He said he stayed at home for three weeks following the injury, which is why he wasn’t pictured wearing a neck brace.

The 63-year-old actor was filming wrestling co-star Stone Cold Steve Austin, 45, but it was so realistic that Stallone ended up with a fracture in his neck.

Stallone told FHM magazine: ‘Man, it was seven guys, kicking each other’s ass, one guy tougher than the next. No joke, our stunt guys were begging for mercy.

‘Actually, my fight with Stone Cold Steve Austin was so vicious that I ended up getting a hairline fracture in my neck. I’m not joking.

‘I haven’t told anyone this, but I had to have a very serious operation afterwards. I now have a metal plate in my neck.’

The plot of the film centres around a team of mercenaries who head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator.

The movie features a who’s who of veteran action actors including Arnold Schwarzenegger, 62, Bruce Willis, 54, Dolph Lundgren, 52, Mickey Rourke, 57, Jet Li, 46, as well as relative youngster Jason Statham, 37.

It also stars Brittany Murphy, who died in December of a heart attack.

Stallone, who wrote the script and directed the movie, said testosterone was flowing during filming.

He said: ‘Bruce’s character, who hires me to do the job the film’s based on, turns to me and says, “Look, there’s one person I need to talk with before I give you the job.”

‘At which point Arnold, who plays my oldest rival, walks out.

‘And it’s clear we have a lot of history there. So I tell him I should have shot him a long time ago when I had the chance.

‘And the scene goes from there. But man, those guys were up for it.

‘They got out of bed at 5.30am just to shoot a small five-minute scene.’

Sylvester Stallone was obviously glowing with pride at being awarded a film-making prize yesterday.

But it was more than just the flush of success that was contributing to the Rambo star’s slightly orange and frozen complexion.
The 63-year-old appeared to be wearing heavy facial make-up and there was barely a wrinkle to be seen on his forehead when he arched his eyebrows at the Venice Film Festival yesterday.

Wearing a slick grey pinstripe suit and blue tie, the actor looked a world away from his long-haired Rambo character.
Stallone obviously wanted to look his best, as he is due to receive the Jaeger-Lecoultre Glory To The Filmmaker award.

Is he using those products that his wife Jennifer Flavin is selling on HSN? Must be some really good stuff! ha!

He may be in his 60s but Sylvester Stallone is still enjoying life in the fast lane, showing off his racy new car as he begins filming the latest Rambo sequel. Just check out his super veiny arms! eeek!

The beefy star appears to have gone on a spending spree to mark the occasion after being spotted in two new cars in the past fortnight.

Carrying a cigar and what appeared to be a birthday card saying ‘Age Ain’t Nothin,’ Stallone proved age wasn’t slowing him down as he took his new custom-made Mustang GT for a Sunday drive in Los Angeles.
