About Culo by Mazzucco

Judith Curr, Executive VP and Publisher of Atria Books, announced a deal to publish a collection of stunning, provocative photos that celebrate a woman’s curves by prolific fashion photographer Raphael Mazzucco. The book, entitled CULO BY MAZZUCCO, available in stores and as an e-book on November 22, is at the forefront of an emerging trend in art, fashion and pop culture in which the bottom (or culo in Italian) is the new epicenter of female sexuality, desire, and empowerment. Inspired by a film will.i.am made in Brazil and conceived and shepherded to publication by acclaimed Interscope music executive Jimmy Iovine, the $65 art book tastefully and creatively recognizes this shift in society’s long-held ideals of physical perfection toward a shape that is more authentic and bold.
Well-versed in bringing women of extraordinary beauty to the forefront of mainstream popular culture, Mazzucco searched the globe for the world’s most stunning women to appear in the book. The result is a 248 page collection of color photographs and art pieces showcasing a diverse group of women—some already legendary, some about to become so—who embody the spirit of culo and the start of a new era of beauty.

“Interscope Records has always been a heat-seeking missile when it comes to shifts in popular culture, whether inciting them or reacting to them swiftly. The impetus for this book is a little of both,” writes Iovine in the Foreword.

“I have enjoyed every single moment I’ve spent in the company of these breathtaking women, of having the air sucked out of the room and feeling my heart race from the sheer joy of seeing my vision come to life,” says Mazzucco.

Producer Timbaland has reporters at a Michigan newspaper to thank for helping him save his Miami, Florida apartment from foreclosure after they alerted him to the property trouble.

The hip-hop star, real name Timothy Mosley, was hit with a $18,833 lien by the building’s owner last August after allegedly failing to keep up with assessment fees for the $2.6 million condominium.

The quarterly bills soon grew to $27,000 – but Timbaland was unaware he was about to lose the property until journalists from The Detroit News contacted him for a comment on the story.

Their investigation prompted Timbaland to look into the matter himself and he instructed his representatives to settle the outstanding payments in full to avoid foreclosure.

Timbaland’s financial advisors claim they did not receive notification of the bills and insist the discrepancy was just a big misunderstanding.

The Los Angeles County sheriff’s office says the rapper-producer reported the theft over the weekend but there was no indication of a break-in at his home. Detective Vic Paladino says Timbaland is concerned the thief is someone he knows.

Timbaland, whose real name is Timothy Mosley, told Ryan Seacrest in an interview Wednesday on KIIS-FM that something was stolen but it wasn’t a watch. He did not elaborate or explain why the report he filed notes a $2 million stolen watch.

The rapper’s family filed a missing persons report when he left the house Tuesday in his Cadillac Escalade. Deputies say a sheriff’s helicopter located him on Pacific Coast Highway.

Rock stars are used to getting things their way, but it didn’t happen for Timbaland Saturday night, when he arrived in Vegas to perform at Haze nightclub at the Aria.

After jetting in from LA, the Grammy winner was disappointed to see the new Louis Vuitton store on the strip was closed, and sent aides searching for a manager who would open the shop for him ahead of his show.

“They were calling everyone as if they were handling a national emergency,” said a spy. But the effort failed and he had to wear a sweater from his suitcase for his show, watched by a crowd including Eliza Dushku and retired basketball player Rick Fox.

The producer-singer, who has collaborated with musicians ranging from Justin Timberlake to Nelly, has found a new duet partner in Rockstar Games. Timbaland is teaming up with the developer behind the “Grand Theft Auto” franchise on the handheld music-making application “Beaterator,” but the hip-hop impresario doesn’t think the app will put him out of a job.

“I can give you everything,” he teases, “but you’re not gonna think like I would think.”

“Beaterator” features nearly 1,300 sounds and loops created by Timbaland and about another 2,000 from the developers at Rockstar Games. The application is split into three modes: Live Play, Studio Sessions and Song Crafter. Unlike rhythm titles like “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band,” there’s no game element to “Beaterator.” Everything is unlocked from the outset.

Amateur mixmasters can layer vocals, drum machine sounds, kicks, snares, bass loops, synth sounds and a myriad of other noises to create unique beats and melodies. The only game-like aspect of “Beaterator” is Live Play, which allows users to create a song by mashing buttons alongside a virtual Timbaland, who the real Timbaland insists could use some more muscles.

The Grammy winner – whose real name is Tim Mosley – wasn’t prepared for how long it took to transform “Beaterator” from a simple application that originally appeared on Rockstar Games’ Web site in 2005 into a full-blown beat machine program that will be available for the PlayStation Portable on Sept. 29 and the iPhone and iPod Touch later this fall.

“They broke it down and said, ‘Tim, this is not like music. It’s gonna take three to four years. Are you prepared for that?’” says Timbaland. “I thought about it just like this – let me try it. And so here we are today. It’s all about timing. Sometimes you look at those years and think it’s a long time, but it’s really not. It’s really not.”

Timbaland and his girlfriend, music exec Monique Idlett, have tied the knot, Usmagazine.com has confirmed exclusively.

The two wed — in their sweats! — in Virginia on Tuesday by a family pastor.

They are getting hitched again in a formal ceremony in Aruba on June 22.

The couple, who are based in Miami, welcomed a baby girl, Reign, last year. (He also has a son from a previous relationship.) He popped the question at Idlett’s baby shower.
