The ’30 Rock’ actress – who already has a five-year-old daughter, Alice, with composer husband Jeffrey Richmond – gave birth to a baby girl on Wednesday, her representative confirmed to People magazine.

The couple have called their new daughter Penelope Athena.

Before she announced her pregnancy, Tina revealed she felt guilty about Alice not having a brother or sister.

Writing in her memoir ‘Bossypants’, she said: “I thought that raising an only child would be the norm in Manhattan, but my daughter is the only child in her class without a sibling. Most kids have at least two.

“Who will be my daughter’s family when my husband and I are dead from stress-induced cankers? She must have a sibling.”

And while she loves being a mother, Tina has previously spoken of the difficulties of juggling raising a child with the demands of her career.

She said: “I never really believed it before, but when you have a child, there really aren’t enough hours in the day to do anything.

“Basically, any free time that isn’t spent looking after our daughter or working goes on sleeping.”

Author of “Bossypants” TINA FEY makes an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Tuesday, April 19th. Ellen chats with Tina about her pregnancy and if she is going to find out the sex of the baby.

Tina Fey on her pregnancy….

Ellen: Do you know the sex of the child?

Tina: We decided we are going to wait. We’re going to find out…never.

Ellen: Ok

Tina: Not even after it’s born.

Ellen: Not even after it’s born?

Tina: I’m just going to see what it chooses to wear to prom.

Ellen: Give it time to figure it out. Good for you. Are you exhausted? Is this an easier pregnancy?

Tine: I feel pretty good. I’ve been lucky. Pretty easy pregnancies both times but it’s funny because now I’m oldie, olderson. I have what they call advanced maternal age. They look at me like I’m just going to explode. They treat me very gingerly.

The Date Night star announced her happy news during a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show on Wednesday and her spokesperson confirms she is five months into her pregnancy.

Fey and her composer husband Jeff Richmond are already parents to a five-year-old daughter, Alice.

The baby news comes just a day after Fey’s 30 Rock co-star Alec Baldwin revealed their hit sitcom will come to an end next year.

Fey’s interview with Winfrey is due to air on Tuesday.

Two-time Oscar winner Meryl and writer and funny-woman Tina will be directed by Stanley Tucci in the comedy, although it is unclear if he will play a starring role in the film – he has worked alongside Meryl in both ‘Julie & Julia’ and ‘The Devil Wears Prada’.

Studio Sony has picked up the project, the story of which is being kept a secret, although it is expected to show the funny and difficult side of a mother-daughter relationship, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Tina has seen her acting career take off in recent years.

Having begun her career as a writer, penning Lindsay Lohan’s launching vehicle ‘Mean Girls’ and TV comedy ’30 Rock’, she has since gone on to work on projects including ‘The invention of Lying’ and ‘Date Night’.

Meryl – famed for taking a mixture of comedy and serious roles – is believed to be working on a movie about the life of British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, tentatively named ‘The Iron Lady’.

Comedienne Tina Fey has to rely on chauffeurs and cab drivers to take her around New York – because her driving license expired soon after she moved to the Big Apple.

The Pennsylvania native relocated to Manhattan in the late 1990s after landing a job as a writer for sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live.

Fey has since shot to fame with her TV sitcom 30 Rock, but admits she never renewed the permit and now refuses to retake the driving test to reinstate it.

She says, “I don’t have a license anymore. I used to have a license but then I moved to New York and it expired and they want me to go to driving school to get a new one. So I was like, nope!”

Funny gal Tina Fey is dishing dirt on herself, confiding to Esquire that she loves to curse – and she advises young women to film their own bosoms on spring break.

The “30 Rock” star says her character, Liz Lemon, will never get hanky-panky with Jack Donaghy, the fictional NBC exec played by Alec Baldwin. “Okay, if we get to season 15, they’ll do it,” Fey quips.

The “Saturday Night Live” alum – up next in the movie “Date Night” with Steve Carrell – also says the hardest part of spoofing Sarah Palin was “gluing down my ears.”

“When I wear that half-up hairdo, my ears stick out,” she writes.

Fey confesses “I really love cursing a lot” and displays her fondness of F-bombs in her dispatch.

“But as I get older, I realize it’s a little unseemly for women of a certain age,” she says. “But once you pass 65, you can hit it full tilt again and it’s charming.”

On a semi-serious note, Fey recounts the sage business advice she once gave graduating female high schoolers headed for spring break: “They’re your boobs. At least have the sense to film it yourself and get the money from it.”

In case you missed it, this morning Tina Fey was on The Today Show this morning to chat about tonight’s season premiere of 30 Rock and during the interview, Tina Fey and Al Roker got a little up-close-and-personal….
