The 33-year-old NFL player – who has nine-month-old son Benjamin with wife Gisele Bundchen, as well as three-year-old John from a previous relationship – was “scared out of his mind” after initially thinking he had hit a woman who was walking her dog when he collided with a minivan last Thursday morning.

He explained: “I was scared out of my mind. I swear to God. It was like ‘The Matrix’. When the cars hit, I saw all the glass kind of explode. Then I saw her go flying. I thought, ‘Oh, my God’ as we’re kind of skidding to a stop. I saw her go flying back.

“I’m telling you, when it happened, I didn’t even know what to do, because you’re just in shock. I was kind of sitting there in the car, looking around, trying to get my bearings. And then once I got home, then it really hits you.”

Luckily, the pedestrian was uninjured, but the star has praised the medics and fire crews who attended the scene of the crash.

He added to Boston radio station WEEI: “The ambulance, the people from the ambulance, the medics and the fire, they were very professional. They were great. The older gentleman in the other car definitely needed to be attended to, so that’s where they were focusing their time. Hopefully, he’s OK.

“That was a scary morning for all of us. Man, wear your seat belts. That’s all I can tell everybody. You never know.”

In a few years time this kind of behavior is sure to elicit cries of disgust from Benjamin Brady.

But for now he slept happily in his mother’s arms as Gisele Bundchen embraced her American football player husband Tom Brady.

The new parents were enjoying a romantic break in Paris, taking their son on a relaxing boat trip down the Seine.

Other passengers looked away as the devoted couple kissed and cuddled.

Despite his tender age, four-month-old Benjamin is a well-travelled youngster.

Last week his mother took him to Brazil for her twin sister Patricia’s marriage to Rodrigo Pereira.

As the maid of honour, 29-year-old Gisele was in charge of calming the bride.

But she also took the opportunity to introduce her son to her grandparents and the rest of the family.

While spending the weekend in Brazil, Bundchen told the local press she only spoke in Portuguese to her baby son.

She said: ‘I only talk in Portuguese when I’m with him. I think he must get used to the language and learn it – it is important to be bilingual. He’s not just Brady, he’s a Bundchen too.’

Bundchen gave birth to Benjamin in a bath tub in her and 32-year-old Brady’s Boston apartment on December 8.

In a recent interview with Vogue magazine, she admitted she clashed with her husband over what they should name their son.

She said: ‘I wanted him to be called River because I wanted something always flowing, immortal. My husband said, “There’s no way we’re going to call him River.”

They ended up settling for the middle name Rein, a tribute to Gisele’s father Reinoldo.

Proud new mother Gisele Bundchen introduced her baby son Benjamin to the Brazilian side of his family for the first time at her twin sister’s wedding over the weekend.

The supermodel and American football player husband Tom Brady jetted to Barra Do Ribeiro, near Porto De Alegre, with their 16-week-old son to attend fraternal twin Patricia’s marriage to Rodrigo Pereira at the Laurentia Vineyard.

As the maid of honour, Bundchen, 29, wore a pink layered Missoni 2005 dress and dressed her son in a mini tuxedo.

As Bundchen fulfilled her duties taking care of the bride, New England Patriots player Tom, 32, kept hold of Benjamin and carried around the baby’s bag full of nappies during the reception.

The trip marked baby Benjamin’s first ever holiday and provided an opportunity for him to meet Bundchen’s grandparents and the rest of the family.

Following the afternoon ceremony, the bride and groom joined 70 people to celebrate their wedding with a reception late into the night.

As part of Earth Hour, the environmentally conscious bride asked her guests to sit by candlelight for an hour after turning the lights off.

After admitting gaining only 30lb during her pregnancy, Bundchen’s post-baby figure appeared to ping back into shape almost immediately after giving birth.

She explained: ‘I did kung fu up until two weeks before Benjamin was born, and yoga three days a week.

‘I think a lot of people get pregnant and decide they can turn into garbage disposals. I was mindful about what I ate, and I gained only 30lb.’

Bundchen and Brady started dating in December 2006 – just weeks after the athlete ended his three-year relationship with Sex And The City star Bridget Moynahan.

Just two months into his relationship with Bundchen, Brady was surprised to learn Moynahan was pregnant with his child and she gave birth to their son John Edward Moynahan in August 2007.

Bundchen and Brady married in a low-key ceremony in Santa Monica, California on February 26 last year.

Before dating Brady, Bundchen had a high-profile on/off five-year romance with actor Leonardo DiCaprio until 2005.

The baby boy keeping New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel wife Gisele Bundchen awake at night has a name: Benjamin.

The baby was born Dec. 8. But the day after the birth, Brady said he and Bundchen hadn’t chosen a name. Word finally came out Friday when Bundchen posted a holiday message on her Web site.

Bundchen revealed the baby’s name when she wrote, “Benjamin is a blessing and I could not be happier.”

Brady and Bundchen were married in February. Benjamin is Bundchen’s first child. Brady also has a 2-year-old son, Jack, with actress Bridget Moynahan.

Brady had joked earlier in the week about how hard it was to sleep with a new baby in the house, saying it was “a little tough early.” He added, “It’s coming.”

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen have welcomed a baby boy.

Brady announced the birth Wednesday. He said the boy was born Tuesday and that he and Bundchen had not chosen a name. He called it “a wonderful experience in my life.”

“Everyone’s great,” Brady said. “I didn’t get much sleep.”

Brady also has a 2-year-old son, Jack, with actress Bridget Moynahan. Bundchen is a mother for the first time. The birth was first reported by People.com.

Brady and Bundchen were married in February in Los Angeles in a small ceremony. In April, they held another wedding ceremony in Costa Rica for friends and family.

On Wednesday, Brady showed up 16 minutes late for his weekly media availability. Asked what was new, he said, “a normal week,” and smiled.

The Patriots have lost three of their last four games to drop to 7-5. They lead the AFC East by one game and play at home Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Brady said it was important for him to come to work Wednesday.

“I owe it to the guys in the locker room to really focus on what I need to do for this team,” he said, “and put all these emotions aside and kind of come in here with a great sense of determination on what we have to do as a team. So, as a captain and a leader of this team, the last thing they need from me is to be really not focused on the job at hand. There’s plenty of things for me to really be doing here this week.”

Two photographers sued New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and supermodel Gisele Bundchen for $1 million Tuesday, saying they were shot at during a post-wedding party in Costa Rica.

The lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Manhattan alleged that the photographers, though the shot didn’t hit them, suffered physical and mental harm from the attack during a celebration in early April at Bundchen’s holiday home.

It said Brady and Bundchen hired improperly trained security guards for the April party, two months after their wedding, even though they had to know their activities were a press magnet.

AFP photographer Yuri Cortez and photographer Rolando Aviles of Costa Rican national daily newspaper Al Dia say Bundchen’s bodyguards narrowly missed their heads when the guards shot at their car after they refused to give up their cameras and memory cards.

No one was struck by the bullets, but the lawsuit said Cortez and Aviles suffered physical injuries and mental anguish that continues. The lawsuit said neither of them were paparazzi.

The lawsuit said AFP is one of the world’s largest and most respected international press agencies with 110 bureaus worldwide. It said it incurred great expense to send Cortez, a staff photographer, to Costa Rica.

Don Yee, Brady’s agent and attorney, declined comment, saying he had not yet seen the court papers. Bundchen publicist Alison Levy said she does not comment on her client’s personal life.

The lawsuit said the photographers received authorization from a neighbor of Bundchen to go on their property, where they “discreetly photographed” the party.

It said the photographers were returning to their rented car when a bodyguard approached them “in a menacing and threatening manner,” demanding Cortez’s camera and memory cards. Aviles ran off while Cortez tried to run but was grabbed by the bodyguard and immobilized with his arm behind his back, the lawsuit said.

The lawsuit said Cortez was told that members of the Bundchen-Brady family wanted to talk to Cortez. It said he then picked up Aviles and drove to Bundchen’s residence, where more men demanded his memory cards and one bodyguard tried to enter his car to remove cameras.

The photographers, both residents of Costa Rica, tried to drive away when they spotted a drawn gun in the hands of one bodyguard, the lawsuit said.

At that moment, a bodyguard fired the gun, shattering the rear window of the sports utility vehicle with a bullet that then hit the front windshield and ricocheted off it into the driver’s seat, the lawsuit said.

“The bullet narrowly missed striking the heads of Cortez and Aviles,” the lawsuit said.

Super Bowl hero Tom Brady faces more than just a playoff push this December.

The Patriots quarterback and supermodel Gisele Bunchen are expecting a baby in the last weeks of the upcoming NFL season, Brady said in an interview with ESPN.

“I told her … no Sundays,” Brady joked.

The couple married in February, with pregnancy rumors starting to swirl almost immediately. Brady is already a dad: son John Edward Thomas Moynahan, 2, was born to ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.

Brady, coming back from a season-ending knee injury, joked about the possibility of taking Lamaze classes during the season.

“Well, it couldn’t be harder than this training camp, so I’ll be prepared,” Brady said. “The women are the ones who have to do the work, we just have to be there and support them, so it’ll be nice to do that.”

The full interview will air Monday before Brady and the Patriots open their season against the Buffalo Bills.

MOVE over, David Beckham – Tom Brady may soon strip to his skivvies. Calvin Klein Inc. is in talks to turn the hunky Patriots quarterback into an underwear model. LA private eye Paul Barresi says the company is “confident that Brady will blow the competition out of the water.” While Beckham has sparked a huge rise in Armani underwear sales, Djimon Hounsou, who was nominated twice for an Oscar, is the current Calvin underwear hunk. A Klein mouthpiece sniffed, “We don’t comment on rumor.”
