After dating for more than five years, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo are married.

A spokeswoman for Minnillo confirms that the couple wed Friday. People magazine first reported the nuptials.

Publicist Melissa Raubvogel provided no other details.

The 37-year-old singer and 30-year-old actress announced their engagement in November. Lachey was previously married to Jessica Simpson.

He is host of NBC’s “The Sing-Off.” She was host of ABC’s “True Beauty.”

Nick Lachey’s first marriage was exposed to the world on reality TV.

That one failed – the marriage, not the show – but he’s now heading back to the small screen with his next nuptials.

Lachey and his soon-to-be second wife Vanessa Minnillo have inked a deal with TLC to air a special about their wedding planning process and the actual ceremony.

When the big event will occur has been kept a secret, of course, to preserve their romantic day. However, the folks at TLC say “Nick & Vanessa’s Dream Wedding” will air within weeks of the ceremony.

“We’re lucky to have such passionate and loving fans, and we thought partnering with TLC on this special would be the best way to share the exciting journey we’re on with all the people that support us and our relationship,” Nick and Vanessa said in a statement released by the network.

Neither participant in the wedding is a stranger to reality television. Nick Lachey famously starred on “Newlyweds,” an MTV reality show that documented the silly moments of his first marriage to Jessica Simpson. That show gave the world the memorable moment when Jessica, while eating tuna, asked , is “Chicken of The Sea chicken or tuna?”

Simpson and Lachey eventually divorced. He’s gone on to be a host NBC’s “The Sing off,” while Simpson has had her own series on VH1.

Minnillo, of course, is a former MTV on-air talent, who has been a judge on the ABC reality series “True Beauty” and will be a host on ABC’s “Wipeout” next season.

“From big events to ongoing series, TLC is the destination for the best wedding coverage on television. Nick and Vanessa are today’s ‘it’ couple and the excitement for their wedding keeps building. We know their fans will love sharing in their celebration,” said TLC general manager Amy Winter.

The TV presenter and the singer got engaged last year and while they are busy preparing for their forthcoming nuptials, Vanessa insists they won’t be rushing to start a family because having kids is such a huge responsibility.

When asked about having children, Vanessa replied: “Let’s do it one chapter at a time, why rush? We have the rest of our lives. If you have children, once they’re there, they’re there. You can’t say, ‘I don’t think I want to deal with you today.’ No, they’re there!”

While she is excited about her wedding to Nick, Vanessa admits she hasn’t done much planning but knows she won’t let her fiance have too much of a say on their big day because he would want it sports-related.

During an appearance on ‘The Rachael Ray Show’, the 30-year-old beauty said: “I always feel irresponsible, like I’m unprepared for my test at school. We have nothing yet, except for the wedding planner.

“If I let Nick plan the wedding it’ll be around some sporting event. We’ll have a big old tailgate party with Miller Light! We’ll have University of Cincinnati Bearcats running around!”

Nick Lachey’s fiancee Vanessa Minnillo has laughed off rumors they are planning to escape to Italy to wed over the New Year, insisting the singer was “joking” when he mentioned eloping to Tuscany.

The couple became engaged in November and Lachey sparked speculation he was rushing down the aisle by commenting on the possibility of tying the knot while on vacation in Europe over the holiday season.

But Minnillo has dismissed the claims, because they have yet to even discuss wedding dates.

She tells Hollyscoop.com, “He was joking. We’re not getting married in Italy.

“I feel irresponsible for not having a date, but someone made a great point: When you’re dating, everyone is always asking when you’re getting engaged. When you’re engaged, everyone is always asking when you’re getting married.

When you get married they start asking when you’re going to get pregnant.

“Instead of keeping up with the Jones’, we’re just enjoying it.”

Wedding bells will ring again for one-time “Newlyweds” star Nick Lachey. A rep for Lachey says the singer and TV personality is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Vanessa Minnillo.

The couple said in a statement released Thursday through publicist Jessica Berger that they’re “excited and incredibly happy” about their engagement. They didn’t announce a wedding date.

The 36-year-old Lachey was previously married to Jessica Simpson, and the two starred in an MTV reality show about their lives together, called “Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica.” Lachey now serves as host of NBC’s “The Sing-Off.”

The 29-year-old Minnillo is the host of ABC’s “True Beauty.”

The engagement was first reported by Us magazine.

It’s not just a rumor anymore.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo were photographed this week at a New York hot spot looking quite cozy and content — confirming that the on-again, off-again couple are indeed together again.

The photo, which was taken Wednesday night at McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon in Manhattan, shows them seated close together and sporting matching tans and wide smiles.

“They seemed laid back and were very friendly to the staff and fellow patrons,” an eyewitness tells NYDailyNews.com.

The pair were then seen leaving the bar at about 9 p.m. – together.

Earlier in the day, a second NYDailyNews.com source spotted the couple having lunch together at Duke’s in Murray Hill.

But the lovefest didn’t stop there.

The very next night, Lachey and Minnillo were spotted on another date, this time at The Righteous Room in Lachey’s hometown of Cincinnati.

Minnillo and Lachey, ex-husband of Jessica Simpson, reportedly ended their three-year relationship amicably in June. But rumors that the romance had been rekindled heated up in recent weeks after they were spotted kissing and pawing at each other in public in New York and L.A.

“Nick and Vanessa are not officially back together, but they’re hanging out,” a source tells People.com. “They’ll see what happens. Maybe a reconciliation will happen, but they’re not exclusive right now.”

Looks like the reconciliation is well underway.
