Victoria Beckham struggled to feed her new baby daughter Harper because of ongoing back pain following the tot’s birth, but is now feeling “great”, according to her husband David.

Reports emerged after the baby’s arrival in July suggesting the former Spice Girls star suffered a slipped disc while pregnant, but her representative played down the gossip, simply stating, “Victoria has a back condition. She is resting and receiving treatment.”

The singer-turned-fashion designer’s husband David has now addressed his wife’s health issues, revealing his wife struggled to nurse their new daughter.

He says, “It was obviously very uncomfortable for her because feeding Harper was very difficult and so was picking Harper up. But she’s great now.”

Harper is the first little girl for the Beckhams, joining their sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz – and David admits it is a completely different experience bringing up a daughter.

The soccer ace adds, “We’ve got three amazing boys, but there’s a lot of energy with them. With Harper, she’s so calm, she’s so ladylike.

“She is three months old. Everything she does is a milestone – the way she holds herself, the way she breathes, the way she smiles. It’s amazing.”

David Beckham took to Facebook on Sunday to introduce to the world his new baby daughter, Harper Seven Beckham, the latest addition to his growing brood.

Briton Beckham posted a black-and-white photo showing Harper and her mother, Victoria Beckham, dozing away while doting Dad snapped the shot. He captioned it: “I took this picture of my two girls sleeping.”

In another posted on Victoria’s Twitter account, footballer Beckham, 36, cradles his newborn in his hands and poses with her, nose-to-nose. “Daddy’s little girl,” the mom tweeted.

Harper was born on July 10, to Beckham and former Spice Girl and fashion designer, Victoria. Their new daughter joins brothers, Brooklyn, 12 years-old, Romeo 8 and Cruz 6.

A spokesman for David Beckham says the soccer star’s wife Victoria has given birth to a healthy baby girl.

Simon Oliveira says that the couple are “delighted to announce the birth of their daughter,” who was delivered Sunday morning at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles and weighed in at 7lbs, 10oz.

The Beckhams, who married in 1999 and whose celebrity is entrenched on both sides of the Atlantic, already have three boys: Brooklyn, 11, Romeo, 8, and Cruz, 5.

Oliveira posted the happy news on Twitter Sunday, adding that the Beckhams’ three sons “are excited to welcome their baby sister to the family.”

Proud father-to-be David Beckham has posted a photo online showing off his wife Victoria’s bulging baby bump, gushing about how “amazing” she looks days before their daughter’s birth.

The soccer superstar and the former Spice Girl are due to welcome their fourth child later this month, and Beckham can’t contain his excitement as the birth draws closer – he took a picture of Victoria sunbathing and published the image on his Facebook.com page.

The black and white photo shows the singer-turned-fashion-designer lying on her back with her top pulled up, showing her belly in full glory.

He writes, “Took this pic of Victoria while she wasn’t looking. She looks amazing, so close now to the baby being born!”

Victoria Beckham will become a mother for the fourth time today when her baby-daughter is delivered by caesarean. The Beckham’s are expecting to welcome their first girl on July 4th – one of America’s biggest national holidays.

The former ‘Spice Girl’ turned fashion designer is already a parent to three boys, Romeo, Cruz and Brooklyn. Speaking at the unveiling of the new LA Galaxy football strip, husband David was excited at the prospect of raising his first baby girl, saying, “It’s a whole new different thing for us. To have so much pink in the house, lilac in the house, and dresses. All the clothes are ready, the room’s ready. We’re really excited”. As well as being a celebratory day for Americans, David said the 4th July was also significant to Victoria and himself, saying, “Obviously we got married on July 4, 12 years ago, Monday, so it’s a special day for us, it always has been and always will be”. Victoria’s parents Jackie and Tony, her sister Louise and brother Christian are flying out to join the couple in the U.S. this week. David’s mother Sandra is reportedly staying in the UK because his sister Lynne is also due to give birth around the same time.

Victoria Beckham unveiled her sixth fashion collection at New York Fashion Week in February to near universal acclaim. Stars to have recently worn her creations include Blake Lively, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore and GWYNETH PALTROW.

The 37-year-old fashion designer – who is expecting her fourth child with husband David Beckham later this month – explained while she anticipates she will have a lot to juggle when she gives birth, she appreciates motherhood.

She said: “As any working mum out there knows, it really is like juggling glass balls when you’ve got the kids and a husband to look after, and you’re passionate about your career.

“But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m blessed.”

Despite being thrilled to be pregnant, Victoria – who already has sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz with David – admitted she doesn’t like to “flaunt” her baby bump.

She added to WWD: “I’m not really one of those people that likes to go out and pose and flaunt being pregnant. Not like there’s anything wrong in that. I’m so proud to be pregnant and I feel so blessed and so happy, I really do.

“But I’m just not that kind of person. So, no, I won’t be taking my clothes off. I don’t think anyone needs to see that, other than my husband. Absolutely not.”

The American singer – who is in London at the moment – and the British fashion designer went to see Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms and Zach Galifianakis’ film ‘The Hangover’ last year, and now they are preparing a trip to see the sequel in the US because it is “tradition”.

Jennifer said: “We saw ‘Hangover’ together so now it is a tradition. So when I get back to LA we will go see it. ”
But the pair try to avoid being spotted when they take in films by dressing down for the occasion and using an alternative entrance.

She added: “We go dressed down in sweats and sneakers. We sneak in through the kitchens.”

Their film date may have to happen before July, when Victoria is due to give birth to a daughter – a sister for the three sons, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz, she has with husband David Beckham – and Jennifer said the former Spice Girls star is “so excited” at her forthcoming arrival.

Appearing on ‘Alan Carr: Chatty Man’, she told the host: “I saw Victoria the other week with the belly and she’s so excited.”

Talk about some Girl Power.

Victoria Beckham – aka Posh Spice – was feted by her friends with a pink-themed English garden tea party baby shower on Saturday in Los Angeles, reports People.

Hosted by Eva Longoria and hair stylist Ken Paves, the celebration was held at the private Butterfly Bar atop West Hollywood’s Hotel Le Petit Ermitage and was attended by famous pals including Nicole Richie, Demi Moore, new mom Rachel Zoe and Selma Blair (who’s also expecting).

“All she wanted was anything pink,” a source said about mom-of-three-boys Beckham, 36, who’s seven-months-along with a baby girl.

And that’s exactly what she got: pink tablecloths, pink blossoms atop round tables, pink chairs and princess cake with marzipan.

Despite the ultra girly hue, Beckham donned a purple V-neck dress.

As for her presents, they were also pink.

Beckham was gifted a pink Quinny Buzz Special Edition stroller, a mamaRoo baby swing, a pink Hoppop bath tub, a pink Little Giraffe Luxe Blanket and a Timi and Leslie diaper bag — all from Los Angeles baby store Beginnings.

In addition to tea and cake, there were also games at Beckham’s baby shower. People reports that Blair led her team in making a dress from toilet paper.

“Such a lovely day!,” Beckham tweeted after the baby shower. “Thank u so much @EvaLongoria and @KenPaves for being such wonderful friends.Baby showers are so much fun!!!!!!!”

The day before her special day, Beckham’s husband David and their eldest son Brooklyn, 10, were involved in a minor car crash in Los Angeles, but thankfully “were not injured,” said the soccer star’s rep.

The fashion designer – who has children Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz with soccer star David Beckham – is currently considering names for her new baby, and has been inspired by the Los Angeles suburb of Santa Monica.

A source told The Sun newspaper: “Posh thinks Santa Beckham has a lovely ring to it and wants something unique.

“David prefers something traditional, but will probably go along with what she chooses.”

Meanwhile, 35-year-old David is planning a “fly” fashion line with for babies with rapper Snoop Dogg.

The 39-year-old star said: “I’d love to do a Babygro range with baby shoes with Beckham.

“It’s going to be fly. It’s great news they are having a baby.”

Snoop also revealed he wants David to rap on one of his new albums, and always gives the English sports star a copy of his music before it is complete.

He told the Daily Mirror newspaper: “Whenever I make a record I give him a copy before it’s done.

“He’s like a brother. I’m gonna show him to rap. He’s my boy. I love soccer just as he does hip-hop. Beckham needs to keep doing what he’s doing. He’s a great father.”

He also hopes the newborn will be able to play with his daughter Cori, who is affectionately nicknamed Chocolate.

Snoop added: “Now he’s having a beautiful girl to play with my daughter Chocolate.”
